My stay at Explore Marquette boutique hotel was absolutely lovely! The room & amenities were beyond my expectations. The hospitality group spared no expense with the renovation of this beautiful historic sandstone building. The complimentary wet bar and the gourmet pastries for breakfast were amazing. I also loved that my room came with an induction kettle which I used frequently for tea with these cute little jars of honey. The location was top notch too. I could not have been closer to the many shops, restaurants, trails, and attractions that make Marquette, MI my favorite place to visit. And this hotel offered the use of electric bikes or cruisers to access these nearby treasures. All in all I will certainly stay here again & again. My only suggestions for improvement would be if they could reserve a few spots for parking & the Lock Screen on the outside doors after hours is a bit difficult to use.

Awesome historic building, but updated for comfort and style. Loved the fact that there was no church in or check out, just codes and text messages. Everything was thought of and taken care of. Nice touch with complimentary drinks and goodies in the lobby. Perfect location downtown - a block from the farmers market and in the middle of the shopping. It greatly enhances the Marquette experience.

I've been making business trips to Marquette, MI for 35 years. My recent stay at Explore was by far the best I've experienced in that time period. The building, common space and room were all very tastefully decorated (the attention to detail and blending of modern and historic features is fantastic!), very clean and had great "atmosphere". The complimentary food in the morning also far exceeded my expectations. It was an amazing collection of all home-baked items (quiches, scones, cookies, assorted pastries, yogurt parfaits), gourmet coffee and beverages. It was so convenient and as good or better than any restaurant. The overall service from start to finish was excellent. Great communication, very easy instructions for checking in/parking, and asking throughout how my experience was going in a caring way, while respecting my privacy. I really can't say enough to communicate how great the overall experience was. I'll ALWAYS stay at this hotel when visiting Marquette and have already recommended it to others. Thank you for understanding what a good overnight stay and service should look like. Good luck with building awareness of the hidden treasure that you have in Marquette, MI. Tim D

We had a very lovely mid week stay. Our room was well appointed, tasteful, and very clean. Calm and quiet setting as well, and the staff extremely friendly and cheerful. We were within walking distance of all the great food and shopping the city has to offer, and although we are very familiar with Marquette out-of-town visitors would have no issue with finding their way around easily. The morning in-house breakfast options were delicious (fresh baked savory mini quiches, croissants, scones, etc) with local coffee and a variety of teas. We did not attend the evening gatherings so I can’t comment on them but based on the rest of our experience I would assume it’s an enjoyable perk. Overall a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place to stay. Loved the rooftop deck and guided hour drinks. Staff was friendly. Rooms were great. Central location to downtown shopping and restaurants. Awesome cookies upon arrival in the room. Would highly recommend and would stay again!
