An absolutely frustrating experience to stay the least. I stay almost exclusively at Marriott locations when I travel for work. I decided to use my points to surprise my wife and daughter with a girl getaway and it has been one to forget. At 8am (middle of breakfast service) an employee came and used the last of the batter to make themselves a waffle. No biggie. When my wife asked for another bottle of batter for my daughter’s breakfast, she was told no by an employee. Not “sorry, we’ve run out” simply “no”. An off-putting way to start the morning, but ok. This morning my wife and daughter used the pool as a final bonding moment. When they returned to their room, there was no cold or hot water. Kind of crucial to have running water for guests hygiene and cleaning of breast feeding supplies. Again, approaching the front desk to ask about alternate arrangements and my wife was told “we’ll see how things are at noon and go from there”. Really? Let’s wait until checkout to take care of our patrons? Marriott policy is to alert all guests of a water outage and find alternate accommodations or try to make it right somehow. My wife and daughter had to pour water bottles on themselves to try and get the chlorine off. There’s literally another Fairfield in Hendersonville that you could have asked to let my family shower there. When the same front desk worker was asked to notate the checkout paperwork that the water failed this morning she responded with “no. I’ll explain the situation if someone calls me about it.” Here’s the problem. You didn’t answer when I called. You didn’t answer the chat from your corporate customer service line. So why lie to people? Not even so much as an offer to make things right by anyone, just a “deal with it attitude”I’m from this area and this is a truly terrible way to represent the region. Especially, with our reliance on tourism. I have my choice of hotel companies when I travel. I guess I need to get my Hilton account going.
For North Carolinians, especially those in the western part of the state or traveling to and from the Asheville area, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Asheville Airport/Fletcher presents itself as a modern and conveniently located option. As part of the respected Marriott brand, this hotel aims to provide a consistent and comfortable experience for both leisure and business travelers. Nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, it offers a welcoming base for exploring the region or for a quick stopover near the Asheville Regional Airport (AVL).
The Fairfield Inn & Suites typically prides itself on offering essential amenities that enhance a guest's stay, such as complimentary breakfast and an indoor pool, along with the reliability associated with the Marriott name. However, as with any hotel, individual experiences can vary. One review highlighted a challenging stay, citing issues with breakfast service and a significant water outage, expressing frustration with the handling of these situations and staff responses. This kind of feedback underscores the importance of clear communication and attentive service, particularly for a brand like Marriott that guests hold to a high standard.
Conversely, another guest shared an overwhelmingly positive experience, specifically praising a front desk employee named April for her exceptional hospitality: "What really stood out to me was that April from the front desk was always welcoming everyone and if she knew your name she would most certainly greet you with your name and an easy small conversation, recommended plenty of places around the area to try out and was honestly a pleasure to have at this hotel. Especially after a long day of work it was nice to have someone like her greet you at the front desk. She definitely represents the Marriot brand whole heartedly." This contrasting feedback illustrates that while operational challenges can occur, the human element of service can profoundly shape a guest's perception. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Asheville Airport/Fletcher strives to embody the welcoming spirit that many travelers seek in North Carolina.

Jun 08, 2025 · Cody ShipmanI stayed here for about two months for work and everything was good. What really stood out to me was that April from the front desk was always welcoming everyone and if she knew your name she would most certainly greet you with your name and an easy small conversation, recommended plenty of places around the area to try out and was honestly a pleasure to have at this hotel. Especially after a long day of work it was nice to have someone like her greet you at the front desk. She definitely represents the Marriot brand whole heartedly. I didn’t get the chance to tell her bye before I checked out but if I’m ever in the area I’ll stay here just because of April.
Apr 19, 2025 · Wesley CondrinOther than the hotel was a little difficult to find, everything about the hotel was great. The rooms are nice and spacious and well appointed. The lobby is well-maintained and welcoming. The staff is excellent, they could not be nicer. This was our second stay at this hotel and when we come back to Asheville, we’re gonna stay there again.
Mar 02, 2025 · Joseph TravagliniThe breakfast was fantastic and parking easy. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The foldout bed was the only negative during our stay. The staff was nice. I will stay here again next time I am here
Jan 01, 2025 · BC SVery close to Ashville Airport. Common areas show a little wear, but the areas were clean and neat. Very close to the road, but no noise from nearby traffic. Shopping is very close as well. Will stay again when in the area.
