Stayed here because it was convenient for brewers games and we were excited about being able to walk to America Family Field. That was the only perk of staying here (and we won’t be staying again). They did have a map at the front desk that made it easy to walk over to games. The staff at check in weren’t overly friendly. There was a wheel on the counter to spin for bonus points and things that they didn’t even offer up until we asked the next day. We get up to our rooms and the beds are rock hard and quite uncomfortable. One room had a noisy, rattling air conditioner while the other had a really low water pressure shower. Overall, just not our favorite stay. The final straw for us was the guy staffing the free breakfast our last day. He was very crabby and rude. Decaf coffee is only available by request and when I requested it he huffed off into the kitchen, yelling back to me that it would be a minute. I felt chastised for following the directions they set for getting decaf! As a guest! There’s really nothing near it except the baseball field, so we ended up ubering most nights for dinner and other fun. In my humble (and Titanium Elite) opinion, stay closer to downtown and catch a shuttle bus to Brewers games if that’s what you’re doing. Well worth it to find a better location and comfier beds with more reliably friendly staff.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Milwaukee West is located at 4229 W National Ave, West Milwaukee, WI 53215, USA. For many Wisconsinites, particularly those planning to attend a Milwaukee Brewers game, the primary draw of this location is its undeniable convenience to **American Family Field**. The hotel is well-known for being within walking distance of the stadium, a significant perk that eliminates the need for parking or navigating game-day traffic. Some guests have noted that the front desk even provides a map to make this walk even easier, which is a thoughtful touch for baseball fans.
However, it's also important for locals to understand the broader context of this location. Beyond American Family Field, the immediate vicinity around the hotel is relatively sparse in terms of dining and entertainment options. This means that for most dinner plans or other leisure activities, guests might find themselves relying on ride-sharing services like Uber to venture closer to downtown Milwaukee or other neighborhoods with a wider array of restaurants and attractions. While the hotel offers excellent accessibility for game days, those looking for a more walkable neighborhood with diverse amenities right outside their door might find themselves needing to plan for transportation for most of their outings. Knowing this upfront can help you manage your expectations and plan your Milwaukee itinerary more effectively.

May 21, 2025 · Kate McKayAlthough we did not stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Milwaukee West, I feel compelled to leave a review based on the incredible service and support we received from the staff—especially the General Manager, Lance. We encountered some confusion and mistake through hotel.com related to our booking dates, the way the team (front desk) handled the situation truly stood out. They were understanding, professional, and went above and beyond to help resolve the issue with empathy and care. Their responsiveness and willingness to assist reflect a level of hospitality that you don’t always find, and it speaks volumes about how guests are treated here. It’s rare to find a team so committed to service, even for someone who isn’t checking in. Their actions only reinforce the excellent reviews this hotel has already received, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others based on this experience alone.
May 15, 2025 · Aziz A KhetaniOverall, the hotel is nice and a nice walk to/from American Family Field. Rooms are clean and nicely updated… however, we got ZERO sleep. The lights from the parking lot beamed in our room all night (the curtains didn’t cover it) and there was a light flashing on our ceiling all night. I would definitely recommend bringing something to put over your eyes if you want good rest!
Apr 06, 2025 · Loryn PapeMy stay here was nice. The rooms were clean and up to date. It was a bunch of stores and restaurants close by. The breakfast was really good too, no complaints on my end.
Jun 01, 2025 · Brian WVery well maintained. Staff is very friendly. The rooms and hallways smell good, no obvious staining or lingering odors. Rooms are nice, bathroom is big, the TV is also. Nice selection of channels. There is a fitness room. The breakfast had a nice variety for hot and cold items. The coffee is great. Great place on a budget.. Would stay again.
