May 10, 2025 · Brandon Brown - Roost PhotographyI’m staying here as I write this review. One thing I was not OK with is for what we’re paying for there’s no Bellman service. For a high-end hotel, you would figure that someone would bring up your bags for you, but they do not. The person at the front desk was very un enthusiastic about helping us check in. The room is a nice room but is very humid in the room and we cannot turn down the AC anymore than 66°. Call the front desk to ask about room service and was told there’s no room service for dinner time only for breakfast. I feel like that is absolutely ridiculous for a hotel. Every time I walk downstairs to get my car , there is no at the desk the attendant is no were to be found or I am sitting outside waiting for someone to come and get my car when I get back to the hotel. Last night I literally just walked in and handed my keys to the front desk because there was no attendant to be found. Paying $44 a night for and having to Walk around to find someone is ridiculous. I am here for summerfest and paying $1300 for 3 nights and at this hotel is a joke. I would not stay there again and I recommend you find a different place to stay too.
Jun 20, 2025 · Hardeep SinghTLDR: Couldn't follow through on basic requests. Absolutely zero acknowledgment that I was there for a special occasion. I've paid a lot less for a much better experience at other hotels. This review must be prefaced by saying I stayed at The Iron Horse during my wedding weekend, but because I spoke with multiple staff members on multiple occasions to clarify and confirm what I needed, I felt 100% comfortable that I would get the experience I was so looking forward to. And because it was my wedding, I wish I could give everything 100 stars because everything was so perfect. Unfortunately, it was not. I made this reservation in September of 2024 to make sure I could get the room I had toured previously with a very helpful staff member who no longer works there, and when I booked it, I made a note that I would need "stay-over service" (where they basically just clean your room like regular) because my new husband and I would be staying in the room after our wedding and (obviously) wanted the room to be refreshed after staying the night before with my mother and then getting ready there that day. I must have clarified this at least five times, because it was a pretty big deal, and I was assured that it was no problem, they saw the note I added with the reservation, said they made a note, all the things. However, when we left for the wedding that afternoon, I had a bad feeling that this service was not going to happen, but I pushed it aside because I thought "This is a boutique hotel, I called and reminded them before we left, everything will be good." However, my fears were actualized when my new husband and I arrived back at the hotel exhausted (but excited!) after our wonderful wedding to find the room untouched. It looked like (because I called before we left) someone dropped a stack of towels right inside the door and emptied the most obvious trash, but did NOTHING else. Everything was exactly as we left it. Now, wedding or not, for a BOUTIQUE HOTEL charging $400+ per night, this level of disregard was shocking. I would have been pretty upset if this very basic request was not acknowledged purely based on expectation of quality/service for the very high price tag, but on my wedding night? After I made SO SURE that this one thing was done? Completely unforgivable. Also, I'm not saying I need a standing ovation just because I was getting married, but usually, if you let literally ANYONE know you are at their establishment for a special occasion, you at least get a "congratulations" or a smile? Acknowledgment? When I called down to the front desk to ask what happened, they gave a very vague excuse and after I started to get (understandably) upset, they at least said we could stay in a different room down the hall that was clean, but then we had to pack up some of our stuff and move. Then during this process, the front desk person felt the need to actually call the room to tell me that the "stay over service" I had been referencing and assured would be no problem at all was only available if you were staying three or more nights. They literally called back just to say that I was wrong (and so was every other staff member I had talked to) and to clarify their "policy." Upon checking out, the person at the front desk had to rub salt in the wound by apologizing and saying that they "saw there was a note in the reservation" but because they didn't "click the button to expand the note" they didn't read it. They then proceeded to charge me full price for the room, no apologies, insincere or otherwise, and that was it. What seemed to be not a big deal at all to them was actually a really big deal to me and affected how I experienced my wedding. It was beautiful and we were able to shake it off, but really?? All I asked for was housekeeping. On my wedding night. Not a huge ask.
Jun 18, 2025 · Emma CourtneyPerfect location, quiet rooms, very interesting artwork and extremely helpful staff. Oliver made us feel right at home. The pool table was a hit with a teenagers. Our whole family stayed there for a wedding and we had a fabulous time!
May 18, 2025 · Johanna PerkinsGreat location and the service was great! The lobby and bar area is awesome. The room was just missing something. The walls were bare except the one wall with the TV. Carpet was bunching up and the floor underneath was bumpy. The bathroom had mold where the glass and caulk meet. Weird mirror and vanity light choice considering the industrial look they seem to be going for. The hallways felt like an apartment building maybe with the metal numbers on the door is what did it. Seemed high end with certain things but cheap on others.
