We stayed one night, as we moved hotels for a wedding. This is NOT a hotel. This is a glorified Airbnb charging hotel prices. Super disappointing. They tout "invisible service" - the service isn't invisible it is non existent. For any issues you text a random person who you will never see (but only betweem the hours of 9-5). Need anything? Well you have to go get it yourself. Want to go to the bar? Oh you can't - not without out a reservation. Need housekeeping? No sorry, they don't offer that either. We had to text the mystery person about the entryway smelling like sewage backup. They just stuck some scent sticks out there. This place is soulless. Rooms are sparsely furnished - no dressers. no closet, etc. Everything was a little dusty like the two stiff chairs and the windowsills. I absolutely love historic houses - my own home is over 100 years old but there is no reason for dust. The saving grace was the size of the room and the bed which was very comfortable. To end - there are much nicer actual hotels in Milwaukee with service that charge the same prices.

Jun 13, 2025 · Kali MI was photographing a wedding, and the bridal party stayed at the Dubbel Dutch. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was something special. Everything from the lobby to the bar and up the wooden staircase felt charming and romantic. The rooms were beautiful and spacious enough for everyone to get ready. The natural light that came into the room windows was wonderful to photograph in.
Apr 23, 2025 · Light & LifeCame for an event so I didn't need anything fancy, mostly just a comfortable place to sleep with a safe place to park. Some stuff went wrong with my personal travel plans and they were very kind and accommodating about my schedule issues. Had a great stay and loved the old building. Fantastic location as well, plenty of great places in walking distance.
Mar 30, 2025 · Derek StotzGross old dirty room,… cobwebs, dust on the floor, odd smell and wildly drafty windows and heat that can’t keep up. Freezing is an understatement. Read the other reviews. Can’t believe that this has a 4.7 rating. So overpriced. If you can’t afford to get the windows fixed, maybe don’t host guests in the winter. Bar is great!
Feb 03, 2025 · dan dominskiWe enjoyed our night's stay at Dubbel Dutch Hotel, room was as advertised and location convenient to walking downtown. One negative was the excessive Amenity fee of $50 added to the bill (this was approximately 25% of the base cost of the room and just felt excessive). I was not informed of this charge when I called to book the room. When I emailed after our stay to ask about this added fee, I was told........... "The amenity fee covers the cost of cleaning the room after your stay." I have never been charge such a fee at a hotel.
