We Just spent the weekend at the Falls Village Inn and could not have had a better time. The Room was clean, bright and cheery, great heat, the Bathroom was large for such and old building. The food and drinks were very good and the Innkeeper was very nice. If you are looking for a great place to stay that isn't too far from the sites to see, I would highly recommend this place.

Reviews consistently highlight the attentive and kind nature of the innkeepers and staff, who go "out of their way to help" guests, even in unexpected situations like car troubles, by providing assistance that goes "above and beyond."
A significant feature of the inn is its on-site restaurant and Tap Room, which serves "delicious" food and drinks. The menu typically acknowledges a desire for Classic American comfort fare, featuring fresh-caught seafood and locally grown produce, with offerings changing seasonally. The dining experience is often praised for its "great vibe," attentive and prompt service, and meticulously prepared, fairly priced entrees. Guests have the option to dine inside or al fresco on the old-time porch, adding to the charm. The inn does not typically rely on broad, discount-driven promotions like larger hotel chains, but rather on the inherent value of its offerings and its reputation for an "unmatched guest experience."
The positive customer reviews serve as the most compelling form of promotion. Guests frequently "highly recommend this place" and express a desire for "a memorable visit." The testimonials often underscore the key benefits: the comfortable and clean rooms, the delicious food and cocktails, the beautiful location, and crucially, the exceptional kindness and attentiveness of the owner and staff. The specific mention of staff going "above and beyond" for guests, such as helping with car troubles, showcases a level of personalized service that truly differentiates the inn.
The inn's status as a "Litchfield County Landmark" built in 1834, and its restoration overseen by renowned designer Bunny Williams, are significant points of interest that attract travelers seeking a unique and aesthetically pleasing stay. Its inclusion in local tourism guides and mentions of its historical significance further contribute to its promotional draw. The presence of a lively restaurant and bar within the inn, often packed with a "great vibe," also acts as a draw for both guests and local patrons, creating a dynamic atmosphere.
While specific package deals or discounts may vary, the core value proposition of the Falls Village Inn lies in its combination of historical elegance, modern comfort, gourmet dining, and personalized service in a stunning natural setting. Prospective guests interested in special packages or event bookings are encouraged to contact the inn directly. Nov 18, 2024 路 Gary KovacBeautiful location. We arrived early and never the less the owner kindly checked us in. The rooms were lovely and the beds incredibly comfortable and big! We had a major issue with our car and car hire companies response which essentially left us stranded - they went out of their way to help by giving us a lift to the airport; incredibly kind. We had an evening meal and the place was packed! A great vibe. Service was attentive and prompt. Food was as delicious as were cocktails 馃槏. Thanks for a memorable visit!

Feb 20, 2025 路 Harold McmillanWe had a birthday reservation for ten people on Burger Night. There were small containers (wine bottles with stoppers) of warm water on the table, but when our waitress finally came to greet us, it took what felt like an hour to receive our drinks. After almost another hour to get our food (mind you, we only ordered burgers and fries), the medium-sized burgers were okay...many at the table complained they were over-cooked...and the bacon on mine was like leather. We barely saw our waitress, and she never asked if everything was alright with us. Luckily, I knew I would need more catsup, as my burger arrived, so got some extra on her next trip out. Needless-to-say, my brother-in-law and nephew were thirsty for more beer, and took it upon themselves to head to the bar. They came back commenting how the bartender made it clear how she had been inconvenienced. I had been to the Inn on a few other occasions, since its new ownership. I was unimpressed and shocked by their prices. Even though Burger Night seemed like a reasonable deal (the burger was just okay, but the fries were pretty good), the service was a real downer. The owner needs to hire more wait staff, a more efficient cook, and either an extra bartender, or one that can pour beer faster, lol.
Jul 03, 2024 路 KrysiaHad a reservation for 10 that had been in the books for a week. Arrived and ordered drinks and it took 30 minutes for them to come to the table- the food took an hour and 15. Our server rarely visited our table the whole evening. When the food did arrive, everyone鈥檚 burger was not cooked to their liking, mine was well done when I ordered medium rare and my neighbors was rare when he ordered medium! Terrible.
