The absolute filthiest place I have ever been in. I should have known better when I walked in after 5 pm on a Friday and there was not a soul in there. Ate a few bites of the food and had to leave. There was a layer of grime and grease on everything. The silverware and plates were dirty and had dirty grease on them. The ketchup bottle he brought out from the frig had dried grease all over it and looked like somebody took it out in the parking lot and kicked it through the dirt. Both my son and I came home and had diarrhea all night. The owner, Vic was very friendly, though.
For local users searching "Hotels Near Of Me" in the quaint area of Weedville, PA, the "Force Hotel" presents a particularly interesting and somewhat unconventional profile. Based on the provided customer reviews, it's crucial to clarify that despite its name, the Force Hotel is primarily recognized as a bar and dining establishment, with explicit mentions that it "doesn't rent rooms out." Its reputation is centered around its food, welcoming owner, and a distinctive local character. This introduction will detail the Force Hotel by focusing on its unique environment, its services (primarily culinary), its defining features, and any insights into its operation, all based objectively on the provided customer feedback.
The Force Hotel is located at 17863 Bennetts Valley Hwy, Weedville, PA 15868, USA. Weedville is nestled within Elk County, a region celebrated as the heart of Pennsylvania's Elk Country and part of the larger Pennsylvania Wilds. This geographical context immediately suggests an environment steeped in natural beauty, offering a serene backdrop for any establishment. The Bennetts Valley Highway is a key thoroughfare in this area, implying accessibility while still being immersed in a more rural and wild setting. The Force Hotel's environment, therefore, would likely be characterized by its connection to the outdoors, making it a popular stop for hunters, anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, and tourists visiting to see the majestic elk. As a bar and restaurant, the interior ambiance would likely be that of a traditional local establishment – perhaps rustic, functional, and imbued with a sense of community. The review mentioning "not a soul in there" after 5 pm on a Friday, juxtaposed with the owner needing "help," suggests that while it is open, it might operate with limited staff or attract specific clientele at certain hours. Despite the varying descriptions of cleanliness from the reviews, the overall sense is that it's a long-standing local fixture, serving as a gathering spot for residents and visitors exploring the surrounding wilderness.
The primary services offered by the Force Hotel, as highlighted by customer reviews, revolve entirely around its bar and restaurant. The critical points concerning its services and culinary features are:
While one review unfortunately details significant issues with cleanliness and food safety ("filthiest place," "layer of grime and grease," "silverware and plates were dirty," "diarrhea all night"), another contrasts this by praising the food ("wonderful Walleye Dinner") and friendly service. This divergence in feedback is important for potential visitors to note, suggesting a highly variable experience or perhaps a significant change in conditions over time. Objectively, it points to a strong culinary focus, with some potential concerns regarding hygiene that future visitors should be aware of.
The Force Hotel's unique selling points and features, despite its name, are firmly rooted in its role as a local bar and restaurant, primarily centered around its distinct culinary offerings and the personality of its owner:
The contrasting reviews present a challenging but objective reality: while one experience was highly negative regarding cleanliness, another was exceptionally positive regarding food and service. This means a potential visitor might encounter either extreme. However, the consistent mention of the Walleye and the owner's friendliness are notable features.
Given that the Force Hotel "doesn't rent rooms out," promotional information would not involve typical hotel booking strategies. Instead, it would focus on its dining and bar services. For local users searching "Hotels Near Of Me" who might stumble upon "Force Hotel," it's essential to understand its true nature:
In summary, the Force Hotel in Weedville, PA, is a unique establishment identified by its name but primarily functions as a bar and restaurant, not a lodging facility. Its defining features are its renowned Walleye Dinner based on family recipes and the friendly demeanor of its owner, Vic. While one review points to significant hygiene concerns, another praises the food and service, suggesting a varied experience. For anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," it's best viewed as a distinct dining destination rather than a place to stay overnight.

Feb 22, 2025 · Lane TurturiceWe saw a sign out front advertising Walleye Dinner. That's a rarity in PA. It was wonderful. The gentleman who owns the hotel and bar was so friendly and courteous. He doesn't rent rooms out but keeps the bar open. He uses his mother's recipes for the food he makes. He accommodated us, even though it was late for dinner hours, and we were the only ones in there. Will definitely go back. If you live in the area and need a job, hit him up. He needs help.
Oct 17, 2024 · Sharon RichardsWe went to a Johnny Cash cover band and had the absolute best time. We sang, we danced, service was excellent, so we drank heartily. Band was great, just so much fun!
Nov 15, 2024 · Melissa S.Love the owner Vic! Fun place! Mechanical Bull is not something you see everyday.
Feb 08, 2025 · Jenise GrossLooked at reviews online. We decided to eat dinner here. AWFUL Experience! The building is run down, in need of repairs. The dining room was full of clutter and very dirty. There were only a handful of tables set up. No prices in the menu. My husband and I ordered water with lemon. We were each given a bottle of Great Value (Walmart brand) water that was $2 each. My husband had 1 dozen wings, I had a cheese steak, and we shared a large fry. The mayo and ketchup bottles were disgusting. They were unmarked plastic bottles that were discolored and the plastic lids were dirty black. The wings were definitely not the "best in 40 states" as the outdoor sign advertised! They weren't anything special at all! Our bill was $45! Steer clear from Force Hotel. I should have took pics!
