We arrived Thursday afternoon around 1:00. Our log in information had been sent to us to get into the building & our room. First thing we noted was the dumpster overflowing in the parking lot. We gained entry inside which wasn't bad at all. Made our way down the hallway to the room. We reserved for one room with 2 Queen Beds 3 people. NOPE we had 1 double bed & a couch from the 1970's (NOT PULL OUT). Thank goodness we packed an air mattress. The smoke detector was obviously busted in the ceiling. The bathroom door molding around the door & the door jam were both BUSTED from the inside out so that when you were on the toilet or in the shower you had no privacy because the door was sprung & no latch. NO TOWELS none anywhere Nothing. We were able to find someone that we thought was cleaning rooms & ask for towels. He was to take care of that for us no problem. Returned to the room many hours later to sleep, still no towels. We made MULTIPLE CALLS to the phone number listed during the stay (Thurs-Sunday) we never did see another person who worked there nor did anyone ever bring us towels. Brightside we only were there to sleep not spend time in the room. The person who answered the phone kept claiming he had no one available to assist us with towels. CHEAP RATES Location was great for the event we were attending but lesson learned with our stay here. if I could give it a Zero I would and only the 3 on location because it was less than a 20 minute drive for the days were needed.
For local users exploring options under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the Phoenixville area, the French Creek Inn, located at 2 Ridge Rd, Phoenixville, PA 19460, USA, may appear as a choice due to its advertised "cheap rates." The hotel can be reached directly at (610) 457-6628 or +1 610-457-6628 for inquiries.
Regarding the environment, the French Creek Inn is situated in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. While the exact immediate surroundings are not extensively detailed in general online information, its address on Ridge Road suggests it is likely located in a more suburban or semi-rural setting, perhaps near the French Creek itself, which could offer some natural appeal. One reviewer did note that the "Location was great for the event we were attending," implying that its position relative to specific local venues or attractions can be convenient for some travelers. However, the first impression upon arrival, as reported by a customer, was "the dumpster overflowing in the parking lot," which immediately impacts the perceived cleanliness and upkeep of the exterior environment. This detail suggests that while the geographical location might be convenient for specific purposes, the immediate upkeep of the property's exterior might be a concern for guests looking for a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment when searching for "Hotels Near Of Me."
In terms of services, the French Creek Inn appears to operate with a minimalistic approach, which is often associated with properties offering "cheap rates." The check-in process, as described by a customer, involved "log in information had been sent to us to get into the building & our room," indicating a self-check-in or remote management system. This suggests a lack of a traditional 24/7 front desk presence, which can limit direct interaction with staff for immediate assistance. A significant and recurring issue highlighted in customer reviews is the profound lack of basic services. One guest reported, "NO TOWELS none anywhere Nothing," and despite asking someone they believed to be cleaning rooms, and making "MULTIPLE CALLS to the phone number listed during the stay (Thurs-Sunday)," they "never did see another person who worked there nor did anyone ever bring us towels." The person who answered the phone "kept claiming he had no one available to assist us with towels." This indicates a severe deficiency in fundamental hotel services and guest support. Another review mentioned "No ice, no refrigerator, only one wash cloth," further underscoring the absence of even very basic amenities that most travelers expect. The lack of available staff to address immediate guest needs is a critical concern for any local user considering this establishment.
The features of the rooms at French Creek Inn are a significant point of concern based on recent customer feedback. Guests reported discrepancies between what was advertised and what was provided. One review stated, "First they lied about the beds said they were king sized but only doubles." Another reservation for "one room with 2 Queen Beds 3 people" resulted in "1 double bed & a couch from the 1970's (NOT PULL OUT)." This misrepresentation of bed sizes and configurations is a major issue for travelers planning their stay. Beyond bed size, the overall condition and functionality of the rooms appear to be severely compromised. Descriptions include: "The smoke detector was obviously busted in the ceiling," and "The bathroom door molding around the door & the door jam were both BUSTED from the inside out so that when you were on the toilet or in the shower you had no privacy because the door was sprung & no latch." Furthermore, despite paying "extra 50.00 dollars for cleaning," the "rooms were dirty." These detailed accounts suggest a significant lack of maintenance, safety concerns (busted smoke detector), and a fundamental failure to provide a private and hygienic environment. The absence of a refrigerator and ice machine are also basic features often expected, even in budget accommodations. The only silver lining for one guest was that they "only were there to sleep not spend time in the room," highlighting the unsuitability of the features for any extended stay or comfort.
As for promotional information, the primary allure of French Creek Inn appears to be its "CHEAP RATES." This is the core "promotional" element that might draw in local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a very limited budget. However, based on the overwhelming customer feedback, these low rates come at a significant cost in terms of basic amenities, cleanliness, privacy, and service. There is no indication of typical hotel promotions such as loyalty programs, special packages, or discounts for extended stays. The focus is purely on the price point. The reviews strongly suggest that while the rates may be low, the value proposition is questionable due to the severe shortcomings in the actual product and service delivered. Customers explicitly state "lesson learned with our stay here" and "Will not stay again," with one even wishing they "could give it a Zero." This directly contradicts any positive promotional messaging and serves as a strong cautionary tale for potential guests. Users seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" should weigh the "cheap rates" against the significant reported deficiencies before considering a booking at French Creek Inn.

Apr 14, 2025 · Sheila BartonFirst they lied about the beds said they were king sized but only doubles. Paid extra 50.00 dollars for cleaning and rooms were dirty. No ice, no refrigerator, only one wash cloth. Will not stay again.
Feb 15, 2025 · Timothy SmithI don’t recommend this place. I had a frustrating experience with it. They canceled my booking due to an "emergency" and insisted I cancel it myself through Booking.com, which would have incurred fees. Despite multiple requests, they refused to handle the cancellation directly, causing unnecessary stress and delays in securing a refund. Unreliable and poorly managed.
