This place is one of my favorite spots during the holiday season. The environment inside is beautiful with all of the plants in the hotel. Their ballrooms are nice to go see a show or to visit a convention. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel. There’s plenty of good restaurants to eat. The grand staircase in front of the main lobby area is fantastic to go get photos at. This hotel is a great place to stay and visit. The price of what you spend is what you get. The only thing that I don’t like is that after a certain time in the afternoon you need to have a ticket for an event or you have to stay on property just to walk around I remember from my childhood that you had to not pay to go there but when Covid hit it changed everything. Overall it’s a great place to visit and walk around and see all of the different plants the food is good and plenty of spots to shop around.
Howdy, fellow Tennesseans! These magnificent spaces create a unique environment where you can stroll along winding pathways, enjoy boat rides on an indoor river, and dine amidst lush tropical foliage, all year-round, regardless of the weather outside.
One enthusiastic guest perfectly captured the essence of the resort, stating, "This place is one of my favorite spots during the holiday season. This detailed feedback highlights the resort's stunning aesthetics, especially during the holidays, its excellent dining and shopping options, and the helpfulness of the staff. The note about paid access for non-guests after a certain time is an important update for locals planning a visit just to explore.
Another review echoes the grandeur: "Resort is absolutely beautiful soon as you enter. The scenic view is stunning throughout the resort. The many accommodations of places to eat and enjoyment are also great. Multiple restaurants and stores within so you don’t have to leave is a good choice. Also, the Water Park which is separate cost is available for an outdoor/indoor pool adventure." This confirms the visual splendor and the convenience of having everything from diverse dining to retail shops right on property, minimizing the need to leave the resort. The mention of SoundWaves, the water park, as a separate, ticketed experience is also a key piece of information for planning. The Gaylord Opryland truly lives up to its reputation as a self-contained resort, offering an unparalleled level of amenities and experiences.

Jun 16, 2025 · Ms GThe common areas of this resort are breathtaking nice, feels like walking a fancy greenhouse. Very well maintained. Many restaurants and bars. However i was not particularly impressed by the food quality after trying a couple of restaurants. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool. However small for the size of the hotel. Good size gym.
Jun 11, 2025 · Masoud HematiIt's nice but I really don't think it's worth the price. While the rooms are well cleaned and comfortable, there's only a fridge that hardly works. Not to mention the fact that the restaurants are all really expensive for the quality you get. If I'm paying $22 for a burger, it shouldn't taste like a $12 burger, and that's one of the cheaper options. Also everything is cashless at the resort which sucks if you use cash as a budget tool. There's no water refill stations either so you'll need to pay for water. If you do plan to go, you NEED to get their app. This place is MASSIVE and you will get lost especially without a map to help you
Jun 19, 2025 · Kaitlynn :DThis is such a beautiful resort! We really enjoyed our visit recently. My husband was there for a conference, and I enjoyed walking around the hotel taking in all the beauty. Our room had a balcony with a fantastic view of one of the big waterfalls inside the hotel. I went to the pool a couple of times, and we enjoyed the water park Soundwaves on our last full day there. We also did the Delta Riverboat cruise inside the resort. We ate at several of the restaurants on sight, and always had a good meal. I can’t say enough good things about this resort. The only couple of complaints we had is that our room needed a little tender loving care such as some paint coming off the bathroom door and the hinges being a little rough looking with one of the door hinges starting to come out. The door to the bathroom needed a good cleaning so I cleaned it myself. The sheet on the bed was coming off the bed because it was too small for the bed and when we called the front desk about it, the person who spoke to us was a little rude (I think she is from housekeeping). Other than this, all the staff was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
