I mean, its fine. The a/c worked inconsistently. The halls and common areas need an update. However, the rooms have been refreshed. The showers were never very hot, more lukewarm at best. The breakfast is adequate. Smoking happening at the pool unchecked. Which made the smoke wafting into the enclosed pool stifling. The location is nice to get to the areas we needed to though. So that is a plus.

I am a gold member who was a diamond member until I decreased my stays with Hilton due to declining service and facilities. I stayed at Hampton Inn in Rockford, IL on 7/11/2025 - 7/13/2025. I booked for 3 people only had 2 face towels and 2 big towels. Towels were comfort bay brand from dollar general store. What they called big towels were children size. I requested more and larger towels, front desk states they don't have any available. I didn't receive any water or snack. When asked about it they stated they don't offer that. The app stated the pool was closed, so we didn't pack swimming attire. The pool was not closed. The bathroom toilet took 30 mins to fill tank after flushing. The water pressure in the shower was very low. We only stayed because we had no choice. All the hotels in the city were sold out and we were in town for my father's funeral. Wall thermostat didn't work, had to use window panel. Booked a king deluxe with sofa bed and there was no microwave. The room was not cleaned, the trash was running over. The towels were not replaced the whole time we were there, even after several request. We had to purchase our own towels. I will be canceling my Hilton membership and going with another chain. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but enough is enough.

We stayed one night here. The place was very musty and damp. Our first room the room was so damp the carpet was wet. We moved to a room on the 3rd floor that was more dry but still musty. Breakfast was lacking. The eggs were burnt, sausage uncooked, and there was no bread or bagels for toast. It was really disappointing.

06.2025 As other reviewers have mentioned, this property is due for renovation, but overall it’s still in decent shape. At least my room was fine — not up to the usual Hilton standards, but still workable. Check-in was quick and efficient. The breakfast was very basic but acceptable, and the Wi-Fi worked great throughout my stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently. The front desk staff was pleasant. Our room was in bad need of an update and a thorough cleaning. The carpet throughout the hotel is stained and most needs replaced. The filters on our a/c unit were THICK with dust. The bathtub had black mold around the edge of the caulking. The shampoo was empty. The shower head was gross with brown and black “gunk” all over it. The pillows only had 1 pillow case on them. Other hotels always use 2. The duvet inside the duvet cover was yellowed And stained and in need of replacing. The toilet in our room was the lowest sitting toilet either of us had ever sat on. It felt child-sized. Breakfast on the 2nd morning of our stay was… nothing. Tons of guests standing around waiting for them to refill the food as there wasn’t any left. I wanted to grab a glass of milk and both containers were empty. I had to walk into the kitchen to find someone and she was on her cell phone very put out that I wanted some milk. It was 9:15am. Breakfast is served until 10am. She never did get off her phone but finally filled one of the milk containers and brought it out while still on her phone. The light roast coffee was empty. There was no more waffle batter. I let it drip and was able to get 1/2 of a waffle for my husband and I to share before we had to leave. Overall it was a bad stay at this hotel. We loved the area but definitely won’t stay here again.
