Hamptons are seriously declining in my honest opinion. Air conditioner set up is so bad , takes forever to cool and never does get really comfortable and apparently it shuts off when no motion is detected. What? Will probably be looking for different hotels to try on next trip after being devoted Hampton Inn people for years. After being on a motorcycle in the heat all day one would like to cool off especially after paying close to 200$ for that luxury.

I wanted an indoor pool so all of the kids could swim. While making the reservations with Hampton I expressed that the pool was a major part of what I wanted for my grandkids. Stay #1: I checked in, got all of our stuff situated, slept good, got up the next morning had breakfast, and I was to pick up the first child at his daycare @ 12. As we were getting ready to get on the elevator to come back up to the room to finish our morning routine I noticed a sign on the pool door that said, “ closed for repairs.” I went over to the desk and asked when it would reopen and she said the following day. This was a major deal for me but I didn’t say anything. I just had to get creative with other activities for the kids. The next day the sign remained on the door but inspite of it we had a great visit. Before checking out of our room I always strip beds, take out our trash, and tidy plus a tip. I used to do this work ( motel housekeeper Holiday Inn) and I always appreciated it when our guests helped me out. Stay2: the next week Yayyy the pool is open! I requested the same room during booking and it was available . It was convenient and easier with Sue’s wheelchair so I was excited! That night, I was up with excruciating pain from the bed. The next morning ( yesterday morning ) when Sue and I went down for breakfast I mentioned it to the front desk clerk about my bed and asked if they would put me a topper or something to make it more comfy; we giggled a little about it because I wasn’t upset or anything but I just wanted it addressed so that night number 2 would be a better night’s sleep. I mentioned that I was excited because my grandkids were coming to visit and play in the pool after school. I went up and stripped my bed for them before leaving to pick up child #1. When I picked up the last child we all got back to the hotel around 4ish. We had 4 adults, Hunter 12 years old, and Sue who loves to see the kids play. Then the 6 others ages 2-9 with floaties. Before opening the pool door 2 ladies and a man from the desk came over to us and rudely started barking orders that they could not be there and how it was against policy. I explained that I had already gotten permission the last time I was there and I also spoke about it again that morning when I was talking to the front desk. They continued to say no. We didn’t argue. I instructed my kids and grandkids back to the lobby area so they could leave. Just before reaching the door they came back and said we had 1 hour. We thanked them. We allowed them to swim for 45 minutes in order to give them drying time before leaving. They were excellent. We told them if they ran or didn’t obey that they would have to sit down. When the 45 minutes was up we dried off each child using only 5 of their pool towels and putting them in the hamper. We left the place clean. My son asked if he could park around back so that we didn’t have to use the lobby area. They left. We went up to the room so that I could change. I noticed that my bed was made nicely so i assumed that they fixed my bed problem. I wanted to go out and get a thank you card and across the street is a Dunkin so I got a dozen donuts. In the card I wrote a thank you for allowing the kids to swim and also fixing my bed issue. They thanked us for the card and donuts. Last night I got Sue and I settled in and I hopped in bed. As I laid there I started feeling the same pains. I got up and lifted the sheets to see that nothing extra had been done. All they did was change my bed sheets. I called and told the front desk. She said she would document it. So I’ve wrestled all night trying to get comfortable again. Most of the staff were very courteous and the food is delicious. On a positive note my grandchildren learned through the adults in our family on how you deal with loud power pushers ( she could have taken me to the side to talk ) you walk away taking the high road.

Great stay, everything was just the way it was supposed to be. $200 a night seems a little pricey for a motel in Lenoir, North Carolina, but I had a funeral to attend. It was definitely better to spend the money than any of the other options in town. If in Lenoir this is the motel to stay in. Thanks to the staff, Very friendly and very helpful, And most importantly, clean!

Visiting my parents for the weekend, and honestly was nervous given some of Lenoir’s reputation. Excellent service, spotless building and room, and if you’re visiting lenoir it’s right off the main road near the highway. Best part - super pet friendly! I will definitely be staying again.

I stayed at this Hampton for business just for 1 night and enjoyed everything about it. It was a little pricey, but the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The fitness center had everything needed for a quick workout and breakfast the next morning was great. Quiet location made for a good night’s sleep. Exceeded my expectations!
