Convenient location for us. Hotel looked new and clean. Room was standard and simple, clean. Room had missing hardware (towel holder and drawer handles in bathroom). Breakfast was standard, warm - but not hot. Did not use outdoor pool or fitness center. Back door wasn't locked. We notified front desk, who said maintenance was aware and working on it. By next morning door was locked, but neither digital key or key card worked on it any longer.

We've heard from guests about their experiences, and the feedback offers a clear picture. One traveler noted the hotel’s "convenient location for us. Hotel looked new and clean. Room was standard and simple, clean." They did mention minor issues like "missing hardware (towel holder and drawer handles in bathroom)" and that breakfast was "warm - but not hot." A security concern was also raised, with a "back door wasn't locked" initially, though it was addressed by staff, albeit leading to a temporary key card issue. This suggests that while the hotel generally maintains a good appearance, there can be minor maintenance oversights that are typically resolved.
Another guest provided a more detailed review, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement: "I stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in the Brooks City Base area of San Antonio for one night, and the experience was a mix of positives and some room for improvement. The rooms were modest—comfortable enough for a short stay, but they could use some updating. Unfortunately, I noticed a few leg hairs on the blanket cover, which was a bit off-putting. However, the staff handled my concern exceptionally well. They were attentive, understanding, and quick to resolve the issue, which I really appreciated." This review strongly emphasizes the hotel's commitment to customer service, even when issues arise. The guest concluded by stating, "The hotel’s staff overall was warm and friendly, which made the stay more enjoyable. The location is another big plus—there are plenty of shops and activities nearby, making it a convenient choice for travelers. While the rooms could benefit from more attention to detail and modernization, the excellent customer service and prime location made up for some of the shortcomings. I’d rate my stay 3 out of 5 stars."
This collective feedback paints a picture of a hotel that excels in customer service and location convenience, while continuously working on maintaining and updating its facilities to meet guest expectations. For Texans, knowing that staff are responsive and the location is ideal can make all the difference for a comfortable and efficient trip.

Dec 31, 2024 · Gabriel PerezTLDR: I (nor my co-worker) will not be staying at this location in the future. A co-worked and I stayed here for a business trip. Upon arrival parking and check-in were fine and the staff was nice. Lobby looked fine and I was looking forward to getting some rest after a flight & work. I requested a quiet room and was put on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately once I entered the room things went downhill. The room furniture was very dated and worn. Room reeked like a cross between stale movie popcorn and vomit. I thought I'd get used to it because it wasn't THAT bad, but never did. The non-carpeted portion of the floor and TV remote were the stickiest I've ever experienced outside of a movie theatre. Close-captioning was stuck on the TV and the CC remote button didn't toggle it. There was some mold in the shower and most of the towels were no longer white, but gray. Worst of all, the AC unit compressor would cycle every 5 seconds or so after being on for a while and it was extremely noisy. The footsteps of tenant in room above me also reverberated into the room. The room was not cleaned during my stay. Breakfast was self-serve and I would say just a tad below average when compared to similar hotels. I got very little sleep both nights I stayed there... so little that my watch didn't even record sleep either night. Co-worker said his experience was similar and contemplated moving elsewhere for the second night. I expected at least average from a Hampton Inn but was disappointed.
Apr 06, 2025 · Zbyszko POkay I want to say this review does not reflect the friendly staff but the quality of the rooms themselves. Jayden was great in accommodating us the best he could. The hotel could use some serious renovation and fixes. One of the elevators does not properly work, the first floor button doesn’t work most of the time. The rooms have an old musk smell. Our first room the toilet wasn’t properly working and everything feels worn. Again great stuff but the hotel needs real saving
Mar 08, 2025 · Ethan ValdezFirst off the night front desk clerk Theresa M. It was the best part. She was friendly and so helpful. Always remember our names and greeted us. She was phenomenal. We chose here because it was dog friendly. Dog rooms are only certain rooms in case you need a dog free room. I also couldn't even tell a dog had been in the room before me so they did a great job cleaning after that guest. The hotel is clean throughout. All the staff was friendly. The pool is heated. Parking is free and easy. The bed was comfy and large. The room was huge. I usually stay in more luxury hotels but this was very nice and I would go back here with no issues.
