What really stood out to me was the Super friendly staff. Our room even though close to the elevator was quiet. The only improvement would be a better breakfast bar. Only hot food was toast and oatmeal. No eggs or anything, which was a bit disappointing. There was cold cereal, fruit and yogurt.
The Hilton Garden Inn Clifton Park, located at 30 Clifton Country Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065, USA, stands as a notable option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category for travelers seeking accommodation in the Capital Region of New York. This introduction provides an objective overview of the hotel's environment, services, features, and available promotional information, based on publicly accessible data and recent customer reviews.
Clifton Park itself serves as a key hub in Saratoga County, providing a convenient base for exploring the wider Capital Region. Attractions such as Ellis Hospital, Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Common, The Edge Halfmoon, and Clifton Park Ice Arena are all within a short driving distance. The hotel's proximity to major roadways, including the Adirondack Northway (I-87), ensures easy travel to nearby cities like Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Schenectady. While not offering a natural scenic vista like a coastal or mountain retreat, the hotel's appeal lies in its practicality and centrality for both business and leisure travelers visiting the area. The "Hotels Near Of Me" categorization makes it an easy find for those needing immediate lodging in this bustling area.
One of the frequently highlighted amenities is the on-site restaurant and bar, "30 Park," which serves American cuisine for both breakfast and dinner. While some reviews indicate a desire for a more varied hot breakfast selection, others commend the food and friendly staff at the restaurant. It's important to note that breakfast is typically available for a fee. The hotel also features an indoor pool and a fitness center, providing opportunities for recreation and maintaining wellness during a stay. A 24-hour business center and meeting rooms are available, catering to corporate travelers or those needing event space, with total event space measuring 4,747 square feet. Other conveniences include daily housekeeping, laundry facilities, a sundries shop, and vending machines. The hotel is also pet-friendly, welcoming cats and dogs with a charge.
However, some recent customer reviews indicate that the hotel has been undergoing significant renovations or demolition in certain areas. This might temporarily impact the guest experience, with mentions of "complete demolition," "construction everywhere," and dimmed lighting in common areas. Guests should be aware that during such periods, certain services or the overall aesthetic may be affected. There have also been mentions of issues such as low water pressure, noisy heater units, and beds covered in plastic. While the hotel aims for clean and updated rooms, these points suggest potential inconsistencies during periods of active renovation. The "Super friendly staff" is consistently noted as a positive aspect, working to mitigate any inconveniences.
The hotel also offers a library and a bar/lounge, providing spaces for relaxation and socializing. The indoor pool and hot tub are significant recreational features, offering a comfortable environment for swimming regardless of the weather. For those traveling with children, the hotel is generally considered kid-friendly, with options for free cribs/infant beds and connecting rooms. The Hilton Garden Inn Clifton Park was built in 2011 and has 104 rooms across 5 floors. It offers free self-parking.
It is crucial to acknowledge the feedback regarding ongoing construction or renovation. This means that while the intent is to offer updated and clean rooms, as noted by one reviewer, the journey through the hotel's common areas might currently reflect an active construction site. This can lead to a different initial impression than what a fully completed and operational Hilton Garden Inn typically presents. The presence of plastic covers on beds, as mentioned in a review, is an unusual and potentially uncomfortable feature that prospective guests should be aware of and perhaps inquire about directly.
Promotional messaging for the Hilton Garden Inn Clifton Park would typically emphasize its convenient location adjacent to Clifton Park Center Mall, its range of amenities including an indoor pool, fitness center, and on-site dining at 30 Park, and the reliable service associated with the Hilton brand. For business travelers, the meeting facilities and business center would be highlighted. For families, the pet-friendly policy and in-room conveniences like microwaves and refrigerators are attractive.
However, any promotional information should ideally be transparent about ongoing renovation efforts, if they are indeed substantial. Hotels often offer special rates during periods of renovation to acknowledge potential disruptions. Hilton Honors members can typically expect benefits such as discounted rates and earning points. Potential guests are advised to check the hotel's official website or contact them directly for the most current information regarding any ongoing construction, specific amenities availability, and any special offers or packages. Despite some recent negative experiences related to the physical state of the hotel during what appears to be a renovation period, the consistently positive feedback regarding the "Super friendly staff" remains a strong promotional point, indicating a dedicated team striving to provide good service amidst challenges.

May 13, 2025 · Yevgeniya PechenayaHotel is under complete demolition, we had to walk around a dozen workers just to get from the elevator to the lobby. When I arrived late it looked like an abandoned construction site. Lights all dimmed, construction every where and no one at the front desk. As it turns out there was someone at the front desk she was just hiding behind the monitors laid back in a chair watching tv with the lights off. The room is clean and updated but water pressure is almost nothing, the heater unit is noisy and hard to adjust air flow. The beds are covered in plastic which leaves you waking up in the middle of the night gross and sweating. Plus I’m not 5 years old, I don’t pee the bed, so don’t treat me like I am.
Apr 01, 2025 · Brian HibbitsMy review is about the restaurant and the service for a group of 7, celebrating our brother’s birthday. Food was very good. Service was very slow. We tolerated the service. However, the resultant staff and most of all the restaurant’s manager were horribly antagonistic, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. If you disagree or question a bill, police is called on you. An ugly unwelcoming experience that non of us ever seen or experienced before.

Mar 02, 2025 · Sean ShirvanionDrWe were a party of 7 and the service was too slow The manger rather than to apologize, she called on the police on us, just because we told her she charged us for 3 bottles of wine rather one. The service was so bad and we didn’t want to pay the tips. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you go there make sure you check your bill For over charge,
