I use a wheelchair. First time I stayed here, I asked for a shower chair, which is very common in hotels. Guy said he'd ask about this, then never got back to me. When I asked again he said they don't have one(period.) Visited area this weekend and decided to try it again and bring my own chair. When we got there, they told me the elevator is broken and they don't have any ground floor rooms. "We'll refund your money and you can go someplace else." Gee thanks. Having to find another hotel last minute definitely not appreciated. I know stuff happens, but attitude both visits really felt like they couldn't care less about accommodating my disability. There won't be a 3rd visit to this hotel.
The Park Manor Hotel, situated at 7 Northside Dr., Clifton Park, NY 12065, USA, positions itself as an elegant and convenient accommodation choice within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the hotel's environment, services, features, and available promotional information, drawing from various online sources and customer reviews.
Clifton Park itself serves as a key connecting point in the Capital Region, making the Park Manor Hotel a convenient base for exploring both Albany, the state capital, and the popular tourist destination of Saratoga Springs. Major roadways, including I-87 (the Northway), are easily accessible from the hotel, facilitating travel to various regional points of interest such as the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Common, and the Clifton Park Ice Arena. While not offering a natural scenic vista like a beachfront property, the hotel's strength lies in its accessibility and proximity to amenities, making it ideal for both business travelers and leisure visitors seeking a well-located hub. The hotel features an electric vehicle charging station and free self-parking on site, further enhancing convenience for guests traveling by car.
A significant draw for guests is the hotel's culinary offerings. The on-site restaurant, "SEVEN Bistro," specializes in American cuisine and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests have praised the "incredible food" and the "variety of choices offered," with many enjoying "every meal." The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast, which is a valued amenity. Other food and beverage options include a coffee shop/cafe, a bar/lounge, a snack bar/deli, and 24-hour room service.
For recreation and wellness, the Park Manor Hotel features an indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center. While one review mentioned the pool being closed or in poor condition, other reviews speak positively about the pool. The hotel also provides a business center, meeting rooms (with total event space of 1,800 square feet), and coworking spaces, catering to corporate guests. Additional conveniences include daily housekeeping, laundry facilities, a fireplace in the lobby, a picnic area, and an ATM.
However, customer reviews present a mixed picture, particularly concerning accessibility and staff responsiveness. One detailed review from a wheelchair user highlighted significant issues, including the unavailability of a shower chair, indifferent staff response to requests for accommodation, and a broken elevator, leading to an inability to stay at the property. This feedback suggests that while the hotel is listed as having "Handicapped Rooms/Facilities" and an elevator, guests with disabilities may encounter challenges. Conversely, other reviews praise the "helpful staff" and overall value. These contrasting experiences indicate that while the hotel strives for a luxurious and accommodating environment, individual guest experiences can vary, and prospective guests with specific needs should verify the current status of facilities.
The hotel’s decor is frequently mentioned as elegant and tasteful, reflecting a commitment to creating an upscale atmosphere. The property boasts traditional architecture, and communal areas like the lobby are designed to be inviting, featuring a fireplace. Other notable features include an in-room safe, separate sitting areas in some rooms, and LED light bulbs for energy efficiency. The hotel also offers connecting/adjoining rooms, which are beneficial for families or larger groups traveling together.
Beyond the physical attributes, the hotel's location offers easy access to significant regional attractions. Besides shopping and dining, guests can easily reach cultural venues like the Upstate Concert Hall and Proctors Theater, or recreational spots such as Rivers Casino & Resort. The proximity to Albany International Airport (approximately 13.1 km) also makes it a convenient choice for air travelers, with an airport shuttle service potentially available.
The hotel frequently highlights its complimentary breakfast, which is a strong selling point for many travelers. Offers might include packages for extended stays, or perhaps dining credits for its on-site restaurant, SEVEN Bistro. Given the positive comments on cleanliness and the overall aesthetic ("pristine room, with stunning view," "clean and modern top to bottom"), these aspects would be emphasized in marketing materials.
However, it is crucial for potential guests to consider the varied feedback, especially regarding accessibility and staff responsiveness to specific requests. While the hotel states it has "Handicapped Rooms/Facilities," recent reviews suggest potential issues that guests requiring specific accommodations should confirm directly with the hotel prior to booking. Prospective guests are encouraged to contact the Park Manor Hotel directly via phone at (518) 280-9258 or +1 518-280-9258 to inquire about specific room availability, current operational status of amenities like the elevator or pool, and to discuss any particular accessibility needs to ensure a comfortable stay. Checking recent reviews on various booking platforms can also provide a more current understanding of the guest experience.

Mar 07, 2025 · Oras AlbarehI’m a bit of a hotel snob so usually go with big chains because I know what I’m getting. Selected this place because of its location to where I needed to be most often so took a chance after reading reviews and looking at pictures. Centrally located near many Retail, big box, department, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc. Front desk staff, specifically Tushar was perhaps the most helpful front office representative I’ve ever encountered. He went above and beyond helping me with various questions and always with a smile. I was extremely happy about that! The room was huge, much bigger than I even anticipated, the photo I posted doesn’t do it justice, and I really liked the eclectic decor! I do agree w/other reviewers that the towels were extremely small and they definitely need to invest in new pillows. And while it looks like most everything was updated/renovated, certain things that weren’t stood out. Not unclean, just looked much older next to new things because they were marked or scuffed from wear/age; like the tub and some of the walls and scuffed wood on the night tables. I’m mentioning those small details for 100% transparency for future review readers, but those minor observations were not an issue in the overall experience here, which absolutely exceeded my expectations!
