Stayed there for 3 nights while visiting family. Room was clean (bathrooms need an upgrade, just general oldness and rust in spots), wifi worked quite well as did the TV. Staff was kind and attentive, breakfast while just basic had a bunch of options and always had a lot of food. Only issue was the walls are paper thin, we were located next to the conference room and people were in there all night screaming which I could hear. It's in a good location, next to 287 and right across from a stop and shop that I walked to when I needed something. When I come back up I'll gladly stay there again.

As part of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) portfolio, Holiday Inn Express properties are designed to provide essential comforts and conveniences for both leisure and business travelers, often at a competitive price point. An objective introduction requires a look at both the positive aspects and areas where guests have noted room for improvement.
The environment of Holiday Inn Express Haskell-Wayne Area generally appears to be clean and well-maintained. Guests consistently mention that the "hotel was very clean, and neat," indicating a strong commitment to cleanliness in the common areas and rooms. While one guest noted that "bathrooms need an upgrade, just general oldness and rust in spots," and another observed "some stains on the blankets and pillows," these seem to be isolated or specific issues that may point to a need for renovation in some areas, rather than a widespread cleanliness problem. The overall impression of the rooms is that they are functional and comfortable, providing a good base for a stay. The hotel's location is a significant environmental advantage, being "next to 287" (a major highway) and "right across from a Stop & Shop," which one guest appreciated for its walkability. This proximity to amenities and major thoroughfares makes it a convenient spot for travelers. However, a notable environmental concern raised is the "paper thin walls," leading to noise issues, particularly when located next to a conference room. This suggests that certain room assignments might significantly impact the tranquility of a guest's stay, which is an important consideration for light sleepers or those sensitive to noise.

This free breakfast provides significant value and convenience. The hotel also typically offers complimentary Wi-Fi, which one guest noted "worked quite well," while another "struggled to connect." This discrepancy suggests potential variability in Wi-Fi signal strength or connection stability, which could be an important factor for business travelers or those reliant on internet access. The hotel also typically provides a 24-hour front desk service, ensuring assistance is available at any time. For those with vehicles, on-site parking is generally available, though the cost of this amenity is not specified in the provided reviews, and typically Holiday Inn Express locations in suburban areas offer free parking.
The features of Holiday Inn Express Haskell-Wayne Area cater to essential travel needs and some leisure activities. The presence of a swimming pool is a notable amenity, with one guest appreciating that "the water was warm," though critically, another review noted the "swimming pool was kind of dirty" and that "the pool water burns my throat," indicating an issue with water quality or chemical balance. This is a significant concern for those planning to use the pool. The hotel also has a "pool table," offering a recreational diversion. Holiday Inn Express properties typically offer a fitness center, business center, and laundry facilities, though these specific features weren't detailed in the provided reviews. Mar 19, 2025 · Pmoo06Overall the hotel was very clean, and neat. The swimming pool was kind of dirty. The good thing was that the water was warm. The pool table was fun. I saw some stains on the blankets and pillows. The free breakfast was very mindful, very demure, and very cutesy. I struggled to connect to the Wi-Fi. But, the work area desk was small. The bathroom was perfectly clean. The pool water burns my throat.
Jan 19, 2025 · Jayden LiMy flight was delayed until past midnight and I had to call the hotel because I did not want my reservation cancelled. I spoke to Eliza (I’m spelling it wrong). She was so helpful and I had no problems when I arrived. The staff was very friendly. All amenities listed were available. My only complaint about the hotel is that the elevator is slow. They really need another elevator. I chose this location because of the free parking and free breakfast, which did not disappoint. I love that the breakfast buffet, which caters to those who don’t eat pork, but the turkey sausage is not tasty. The bacon and pork links were delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
Jan 02, 2025 · C WThe room is small but if it had been clean it would have been better. One of the sheets was not clean, it was as if it had never been changed. We arrived early in the morning and I know that check-in is in the afternoon but there are times that if the room is clean they let us in and even more so if we come from far away but they still didn't want to. And we were in the car for hours until 4 pm. Next to our room was a couple on their honeymoon and their screams could be heard throughout the hallway. There was also a family with children near our room and it seemed like we had them inside with us. You almost never saw the people who work at the front desk because they were always half hidden in a corner of the counter. If you wanted to ask a question you had to call them. Unfortunately this time it was not a good experience.
