We have been a long time client to this Holiday Inn Buckhead. Very friendly and I love the hot breakfast! Downside to this place is the loud street. Sirens and loud exhaust pipes screaming all night. I would suggest getting a room farthest from the street. Our last stay my wife was to have surgery. We are 4 hours from Atlanta. We rented a room for the night and 5 mi uses after paying the surgery was rescheduled. They told us there would be no charge since we were a valued customer. Well, we were charged the entire rate and were told there's nothing they can do and hung up on us. We will NEVER choose Holiday Inn again. Take heed everyone.

The hotel's environment is characteristic of the Holiday Inn Express brand: functional, clean, and designed for efficiency. While some guests describe the property as "dated" in its decor, it maintains a level of cleanliness that is generally well-received. The hotel features 123 rooms spread across 6 floors, offering a range of standard rooms and suites. The common areas include a lobby, a breakfast area, and a seasonal outdoor pool, aiming to provide a comfortable, if not luxurious, stay. However, a notable aspect of its environment, as highlighted by some guests, is its proximity to a busy street, which can lead to noise disturbances from sirens and traffic, especially in rooms facing the street. Guests who are sensitive to noise are advised to request a room farthest from the road for a potentially quieter experience. Despite this, the hotel strives to offer a safe and well-maintained environment, with security measures in place.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, express check-in and check-out, and luggage storage, aiming for a smooth guest experience. Free self-parking is available on-site, a valuable amenity in Atlanta, though some guests have noted potential issues with external access to the hotel due to unforeseen circumstances like road closures, which can lead to communication challenges and frustrations for non-local visitors. Despite these isolated incidents, the hotel typically aims to provide assistance and guidance to guests.
The features of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Buckhead are geared towards comfort and practicality. In-room safes, desks, and complimentary wireless internet access are also standard, catering to both leisure and business travelers. While some rooms are described as "tiny" by guests, particularly regarding space for luggage, the suites generally offer a more expansive layout, some even including separate living areas and sofa beds. The hotel also provides a 24-hour fitness center for guests to maintain their workout routines and a seasonal outdoor pool for relaxation during warmer months. For business needs, a 24-hour business center and meeting rooms are available. The hotel is smoke-free and offers laundry facilities for guest use. May 14, 2025 · chuck brunerYou get what you pay for here. It seems very affordable for the area but it’s seriously dated. Rooms are so tiny and there is nowhere to really sit your suitcase down and open it up except on the bed. The only friendly staff I encountered were the folks serving up breakfast. The check in line wait was exhaustingly long. We had the added pleasure of the only road to access the hotel was closed due to someone hitting a street light. We tried to get in on either end and the cops wouldn’t let us. No one could tell us anything. We ended up having to drive around for hours and make multiple calls to the hotel asking for options. There needed to be some communication with the police and the hotel staff. They really needed to be an advocate for folks who aren’t local and have no idea what to do. Instead we got an attitude every time we called. Eventually we were able to get in through a gas station parking lot across the road but it was hours after check in. I know things happen and that accident was out of their hands, but they could’ve been much more helpful and pleasant to deal with in navigating the situation.
Mar 10, 2025 · Emily EdwardsFirst of all every single staff member I encountered was super friendly and helpful. Especially Stephanie; who went above and beyond to get me checked in early. Rooms are definitely in need of some help. A modern lamp and a vase doesn't take away from the old chipped furniture. I had a small suite with sofa bed which had an extra bathroom in the main living area. Great if you are a family. I was solo. Room was very clean. Breakfast was typical free hotel breakfast. Lots of carbs. Nasty fake eggs/omelets. Bad coffee. 😂 😅 🤣 They did have 🥞 even though machine broken. It's not really near anything. Off the highway and a shopping plaza and several fast casual restaurants across the street.
Apr 10, 2025 · Rich DI've stayed at this property over the years and it's went from just above average to below and I will not book again in the future. Check-in was ok, no acknowledgment of being IHG, no discussion of amenities. The key did not work. The overall front desk was problematic the whole stay. Long waits with problems guest were having. One friend we were with in the lobby stood in line 35 minutes for check-in. The value for my stay was good. The exterior was overall pretty good with minor debris. Trash can by the door never overflowed during my stay. Parking is very limited by the door, however the upper deck parking had plenty of spaces and it’s free. No issues with safety. The hotel and area has safety issues. The police was called to remove a homeless schizophrenic individual from the lobby that refused to leave. The parking lot across the street where Target is has multiple migrants hanging out and requesting rides. We had no issue with our car in the lot over five days. The general lobby area was clean with coffee and tea offered. However one of two elevators were broken the entire stay. Waits were so long the stairs were typically utilized. The room was below average with uncomfortable lumpy bed. The pillows were good. I experienced uncomfortable climate control and a sliding bathroom door that could hardly be moved and damaged. The outlets all worked for technology. The TV worked fine. The carpets were swept, but dirty. The breakfast area was a highlight and satisfactory. Food was available and dining area clean, trash managed. Checkout was brief no issues. However, the score is a generous 1.5, with 2 stars rounding up. I would not return to this property, I would not recommend this property, i likely will refrain from IHG properties after this stay. I'm hopeful after completing an IHG internal survey I will be contacted.
Mar 03, 2025 · J David HilleryExcellent staff, hotel could use an updating But the rooms were clean. The breakfast buffet was above average. The only complaint I have it's been 10 days since I checked out and I still have not been reimbursed my deposit
