Meh, this hotel was one of the only hotels available when we arrived in the area. I attempted to check in but the front desk was not allowing us to even give them my info for our reservation because they said none of the rooms were finished being cleaned. That made no sense because we wanted to get a start on the process at least take down our info to allow for some time saving measures. Anyway, we noticed the lobby was full of people also waiting to get checked-in dealing with the same ordeal that we had to endure. The whole process was a mess once the front desk allowed everyone to begin checking in with them not even following the line of people but instead the Front Desk clerk would randomly point to someone and have them check in. The room was adequate, nothing special or fancy with decent beds, and a basic bathroom. Finally the price was kinda outrageous but that typically fluctuates depending on availability. Overall, I would skip this Holiday Inn Express location.
For many of us who live and work in the Chicagoland area, finding a hotel that is both convenient and provides a straightforward, no-nonsense stay is a top priority. Whether it's for a quick business trip, a visit from out-of-town relatives, or an overnight stay after an event, we often look for a place that focuses on the essentials. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago - Prospect Heights, an IHG Hotel, is one such option. Located in a key suburban corridor, this hotel provides a reliable and functional base for travelers. While experiences can vary, the core offering of this hotel is a comfortable and clean place to rest, which for many, is the most important part of a hotel stay. It's a brand known for its consistency, and this location aims to deliver that familiar experience to its guests in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
The hotel is a practical choice, especially for those who prioritize a quiet and comfortable night's sleep. As one guest mentioned, it's the "right place" if you are looking for a comfy bed. This focus on the fundamental elements of a good hotel stay—cleanliness and comfort—is a key part of its appeal. The rooms are described as "adequate" and "nothing special or fancy," but the beds are decent, and the bathrooms are basic but functional. This honesty from customers gives potential visitors a clear idea of what to expect, making it a suitable choice for those who are not seeking luxury but rather a straightforward and cost-effective place to stay. However, it's important to note that some reviews highlight a lack of certain amenities, like a swimming pool, and inconsistencies with housekeeping availability and check-in processes. These are factors to consider, especially for families or those with specific scheduling needs.

Aug 01, 2025 · John BianFair points for all things. If you are looking for a comfy bed it is the right place. If you are looking for a clean bedding, it has to be changed. Oh, the housekeeping is NOT available after 5. No swimming pool for family visitors. Very reasonable price for basic one night stay. Plus, very quiet if you ask for a quiet area.
Jul 02, 2025 · joanne wonI recently spent few nights at this hotel and while there were a few quirks, overall it was a decent experience. The cleanliness of the place stood out, though there was an odd smell lingering in the air. The rooms are quite spacious, which is a definite plus. However, the bathrooms could use some updating, particularly the tiny bathtubs that feel cramped compared to a nice shower cabin. On the bright side, parking is complimentary—definitely a win compared to the downtown Chicago scene! Breakfast was surprisingly good too, making for a nice start to the day. Considering the price, I’d say it’s a fair deal.
May 26, 2025 · Travel GirlEverything I expected and more . The more was the outstanding was Jennifer at the front desk. She was extremely helpful and kind. Beyond helping me with my room and such, std gave me great advice on the best way to get into Wrigley from this location. I am do glad I took her advice , it was a huge piece to a wonderful day.
Jul 20, 2025 · Mickey BlackburnRoom is infested with ants. Wish I could post the video. They got on my clothes as well. I’ve been attempting all week to get a refund from customer service. They first offered to spray the room with pest spray. After I informed them they were coming out of the carpet and I couldn't stay there, I got down graded to a 1 bed from a 2 bed and again they didn’t offer any compensation. I’ve been working with their customer service all week to get some kind of a refund. They refused to. Scrolling through the reviews, I’ve seen other infestation reviews. I will be reaching out to the local health department and voicing my concerns.
