We had high hopes for this Holiday Inn when we arrived in San Antonio. The lobby was nice and bright and spacious, and the clerk friendly. My son had booked a room for his family and me, which included 2 young grandchildren. When we arrived at our room, the bathroom supplies were skimpy. There was not even a travel bar of soap! We had to go ask the front desk. And, they had no cribs. The room was just okay. We did not pay for the expensive breakfast buffet because it looked like the same as the free breakfast you usually get at most Holiday Inns, nothing more to justify the price. It was extremely disappointing as well because although the morning coffee was free, it was warm and tasted old. So my son asked them to make a fresh pot, and the newly brewed coffee was full of coffee grounds! Hope that wasn't on purpose! It's just sad because I have always traveled and booked Holiday Inns across the country, and this was one that made me regret staying there.

Mar 20, 2025 · Carol MGood water pressure. Close to a good Greek buffet restaurant and next to Sam's club. Did not get room upgrade for Platinum status even on Monday and didn't seem to be busy at all. Breakfast is $13 and not included. Won't be coming back to this Holiday Inn.
Jun 18, 2025 · Richard TruongTypically I stay at Holiday Inns because they are usually consistent with their services and cleanliness. This was not the case for this stay. I stayed in two different Holiday Inns for this trip. My room (417) was not up to standard. It was filthy behind the bed, dust, hair, just nasty. The bath tub wouldn’t drain and you ended up standing in your own filth over your ankles. The towel rack was being held in the wall by a wad of toilet paper, yes you read that correctly, a wad of toilet paper. Multiple out of order machines around the building. The reading light over my bed was ripped off with exposed wiring - fire hazard. The elevator call button was broken so that you could see exposed wiring in the receptacle box. The breakfast was $12.95 for the same breakfast that’s free at all the other Holiday Inns. The whole experience was a disappointment.
Apr 29, 2025 · Samuel EdwardsThe worst experience ever!!! We were very excited to stay here for our trip. We had stayed here before years ago, so it was a nostalgic choice to stay here again. It became the worst experience I had ever lived on any hotel. They shut off the water of the whole building, and the let us know about this only HOURS AFTER they had done it. The whole building was in disarray, we could not take showers, or go to the bathroom. Lots of guests left, we were going to leave as well, and requested to be translated to different Holiday Inn. The receptionist said that there was nothing available, when in reality indeed there was. We knew this because we checken online and there were rooms available in other Holiday Inns. We decided to stay still because then the water seemed to come back, but at the end they shut it off once more in the early morning. We would not have been informed about this if I hadn´t tried to take a shower in the morning. Later that day they finally said that they were going to given refunds for that night. I had made a reservation for two rooms, so I had to get the double of a night. Because I made the reservation through booking.com, I had to call them for them to contact Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn wanted to speak ONLY on the phone, and they did not wanted to give any written confirmation, they said that the refund would be done by phone only. Booking contacted them and let them know that they sent emails so they could reply to them, but supposedly Holiday Inn has not gotten any email. Booking would not give me back my money unless Holiday Inn replies those emails. It is necessary to have this issue on record. I find the fact that they don´t want to this unacceptable, unproffesional, and very shady. I deserve my money back for thie atrocious, horrible, and disgusting experience in a hotel where I had good memories. I am never again staying in a Holiday Inn, and I am never again setting foot on this particular location.
Apr 22, 2025 · Yazmin GuelFront Desk staff was very courteous and friendly - both night and morning but specially Faby in the morning. Very sweet lady. Hotel seems to be outdated but clean and comfortable. Carpet was torn at the entrance of our room and restroom needs some love and care or upgrades. Location was conveniently close to stores (Sam’s and Walmart nearby) but room was not the best (also smelled funky). Ice machine was out of order on our floor. But apart from that it was wonderful.
