Great location! So much to do in the area! Amazing stafff. Every single person I came into contact with was super helpful and truly wonderful. The rooms are great and offer plenty of space and comfort. The breakfast is great, we loved the pool too. Me and my family were displaced and needed to stay here for a week and this place is by far my favorite hotel. Thank you all truly for being so wonderful during such a trying time for our family.
When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the McDonough, Georgia area, particularly for longer stays or for those desiring apartment-style amenities, the Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta South/McDonough is a notable consideration. Located at 60 Mill Rd, McDonough, GA 30253, USA, this Hilton property is designed to offer comfort and convenience for guests on extended trips, families, or individuals seeking a more homely feel. This detailed introduction will objectively explore the hotel's environment, the services it provides, its key features, and any relevant promotional information, based on publicly available data and the diverse range of customer reviews.
The hotel's environment benefits from a "great location" in a suburban setting, offering both accessibility and proximity to local attractions. Situated just off Interstate 75, it provides easy access for travelers arriving by car and connects well to the greater Atlanta area. The hotel's immediate surroundings on Mill Road place guests within minutes of various dining and shopping opportunities, including Sky Zone Trampoline Park and Regal McDonough. For those interested in local businesses, it's close to major companies such as Ecolab, Ford Motor Company, Home Depot, Zinus, and Purple. For leisure and entertainment, the Atlanta Motor Speedway is approximately 20 minutes away, making it a viable option for race attendees. Other attractions like Noah's Ark Zoo, Nash Farm Battlefield, and Tanger Outlets are also within a reasonable drive. The hotel itself, built in 2016, features an outdoor patio with fire pits and BBQ grills, providing a communal space for relaxation and socializing. While some guests have praised the location as being close to "so much to do," other feedback regarding the immediate exterior, such as the presence of one Hilton flag suggesting it's "under review" for renovations, indicates that the physical environment may have some areas needing attention or improvement.
Regarding services, Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta South/McDonough, as an extended-stay brand, focuses on providing amenities that cater to longer visits. A significant offering is the complimentary "Inspired Table™" continental breakfast, which generally includes a variety of hot and cold options. One positive review specifically mentioned that the "breakfast is great." The hotel offers 24-hour front desk service, ensuring guests can check in from 3:00 PM and check out by 11:00 AM, and that assistance is always available. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and wired internet access are provided throughout the property, crucial for both business and leisure guests. For business needs, there is a 24-hour business center and a meeting room with 1,102 sq. ft. of space. The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing two dogs and cats up to 50 lbs, with a non-refundable fee ($50 for 1-30 nights, $125 for 30+ nights), and provides grassy areas with waste stations. Guests can take advantage of self-service laundry facilities, including a "Spin2Cycle" facility where guests can do laundry while exercising. Other conveniences include a 24/7 Home2 MKT® for snacks and sundries, luggage storage, and express check-in/check-out. The hotel can be contacted directly via phone at (678) 369-2527 or mobile at +1 678-369-2527. However, it's crucial to address the significant inconsistencies highlighted in some customer reviews regarding service. Issues reported include the indoor pool being closed for extended periods, remote window blinds not working (leading to a lack of privacy), unresponsive management to calls about room issues, and broken ice machines on multiple floors. These suggest that while the hotel aims to offer comprehensive services, operational and maintenance challenges can severely impact guest satisfaction.
Key features of the Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta South/McDonough are designed with extended stays in mind. The hotel has 91 all-suite units across four stories. The rooms are described as "great" and offering "plenty of space and comfort." Each suite features a full kitchen equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and cookware, dishware, and utensils, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. The innovative "Working Wall" includes a flexible workspace and storage. Other in-room amenities include sofa beds, premium bedding, 42-inch HDTVs with premium channels and iPod docks, and private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries. The hotel also provides free cribs/infant beds upon request and offers connecting rooms for families or groups. For recreation, there's an indoor saline pool (though its functionality has been a point of contention in reviews) and a 24-hour fitness center. The outdoor patio area features a fire pit and BBQ grills, providing additional space for relaxation. The hotel also offers an electric vehicle charging station, including two complimentary Tesla charging stations, which is a valuable feature for EV owners. While the design aims for modern comfort, some negative reviews describe rooms as feeling "very dated," with specific complaints about dirty carpets, aged light shades, and even black mold in shower grout, as well as issues with loud AC units and poor water pressure. These contrasting opinions suggest variability in room condition and upkeep.
In terms of promotional information, Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta South/McDonough, as a Hilton property, actively participates in the Hilton Honors loyalty program. This allows guests to earn points on their stays, which can be redeemed for free nights, exclusive experiences, and other rewards. Hilton Honors members often receive benefits such as a Hilton Honors Discount rate, Digital Check-In, Choose Your Room, and Digital Key access. The hotel also offers specific discounts for AAA/CAA members (up to 10% savings plus Honors points) and eligible military members (12% savings plus bonus points). While the official Hilton website would list current promotions and special offers, these can include seasonal discounts or packages. Positive customer reviews, such as one guest stating, "this place is by far my favorite hotel," and expressing gratitude for the staff's wonderful support during a "trying time," highlight genuine positive experiences and the value guests perceived. However, a highly critical review explicitly warns against staying here, citing multiple service failures, broken amenities, and questioning the hotel's adherence to Hilton standards (suggesting it only displays one Hilton flag, indicating it's "under review" for necessary renovations by a certain deadline of June). This mixed feedback on promotional value and actual experience means guests should carefully consider recent reviews and potentially contact the hotel directly to confirm the availability and functionality of specific amenities or any ongoing renovation plans before booking.
In conclusion, Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta South/McDonough, located at 60 Mill Rd, McDonough, GA, aims to be a comfortable extended-stay option in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. It offers a convenient location, particularly for access to local businesses and key attractions. The hotel provides services tailored for longer stays, including complimentary breakfast, kitchenettes in all suites, and pet-friendly policies, along with standard amenities like an indoor pool and fitness center. As a Hilton property, it leverages the Hilton Honors loyalty program for various benefits and promotions. However, prospective guests should be aware of the highly polarized customer reviews, which indicate significant discrepancies in service, maintenance, and room condition, contrasting sharply with positive feedback. Therefore, it is advisable for guests to verify the current status of key amenities and the general upkeep of the property directly with the hotel prior to booking to ensure their expectations are met.

May 17, 2025 · Bianca Pickett-FilmoreDo not stay here. Only reason why I stayed here was the indoor pool. Yeah it was closed down until the last night of staying. I had remote blinders in my room, went to the front desk no access to them. Imagine no privacy because your window shade is stuck up. I had to hang a sheet. Asked for a manager to call me twice about issues with my room. No calls. Ice machine does not work on floors 2 and 3. I was informed about the situation of how many flags are supposed to be hung outside this place. Two Hilton flags means it's in standards 1 means it's under review this place has until June to make it right with Hilton by renovating the place. This place has one. If you're looking for a place to stay this isn't the one. This place is level of a motel, not a hotel. 75 North at 284 exit is a new Home2. Do not come here unless you want very subpar experience. Front counter keeps saying engineers. I'm like in what? Do they have an engineering degree? Fluffing up someone's resume. They're maintenance personnel not engineers. Obviously pool engineer failed to service the pool in a timely manner and forgot to shut the drain valve. Stay tuned for more updated photos. Im so pissed I'll look for
Apr 19, 2025 · Kamikaze ShameLet's get started why don't we! Upon coming into the hotel i met the desk lady i can't remember her name but i did notice literally all she does is sit there all day in that highchair. Does she have a disability or something? She gives off a snarky attitude. My room i wasn't expecting it the blotched job on the paint and don't get me started on how the shades were broken and i had to practically roll them up just to get sunlight in, i tried raising them and the string broke off. Stains were everywhere especially dust. The linen smelled off i could've swore my top sheet wasn't change when i came back after asking for room service and by the looks and smell of it it seems i been sleeping in someone else's bed. the only close positive thing was the bathroom except i had someone else hair embalmed in the towels and rags its like are you guys even paying attention to things like that. Then comes the breakfast i mean come on ill rather have a sandwich it was God awful even down to the bagel sandwich and i love bagels. My daughter mentioned to me how there was literally mole growing outside our room door. at this point we couldn't even stay longer i packed our things and left. i do not recommend staying at this hotel. not even for a day worst hotel ever.
Feb 13, 2025 · Aliyah HarrisI am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your Home2 Suites location. I made a reservation, and unfortunately, the representative took down my credit card information incorrectly, specifically the expiration date. Despite this mistake, I assured the front desk manager, Shay, that all other information on my card was correct. However, Shay informed me that my reservation would be canceled because she was unable to process the payment and that she had to complete her audit paperwork. What truly left me frustrated was Shay's complete lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist me. As a loyal Hilton customer, I expected at least an attempt to help resolve the situation, especially given that I was on a 16-hour drive and needed a place to stay. She told me to contact the reservation department, which I was unable to do as their office was closed. Despite my explanation of the error, Shay refused to offer any alternative solutions, leaving me without any support or options. It is extremely disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, particularly from someone in a managerial position. I understand mistakes happen, but I would expect a manager to try to resolve the issue or at least show some care for the customer’s situation, especially under the circumstances. Instead, I was left feeling unheard and unsupported. As someone who travels frequently and often chooses Hilton properties, this experience has been deeply disappointing. I have always chosen Hilton because of the quality of service, but this situation has made me reconsider my future bookings. I sincerely hope Hilton takes this feedback seriously and works to improve customer service, especially when it comes to handling reservations and addressing customer concerns. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this issue and any steps that can be taken to ensure I am not left stranded during my travels again.
Feb 08, 2025 · Taz AlphROACH PALACE!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Not only that but the staff was rude and disrespectful/unconcerned with our comfort or inconvenience the entire stay. After 9 hours of driving with another day ahead of us, the last thing I expect or want from my hotel experience is to be met by confrontational front desk staff with anger and frustration that I dared come in for my reservation. No one knew how to use their computers, check in and check out took ages. AND THEN. When we were packing up to leave we found a cockroach on our things! When we told the staff at check out they seemed completely unconcerned. They said "oh, sorry about that. How would you like your receipt?" Highly unprofessional and disorganized, disrespectful, and stressful. If I hadn't been dead tired from driving I'd be back on the way just to get home instead of staying here Just stay at any other hotel in the area if you're passing through Atlanta, any difference in price will be worth the lack of headache and disgust.
