The staff is mostly great. The valet staff in particular are always friendly and trying their best even in the most chaotic of times. The elevator situation is ridiculous and from the other reviews clearly is not a priority to fix. We have a wheelchair bound austic child and with only working elevator and the cleaning staff needing to move carts around from floor to floor there's no space for both. We at multiple points had to wait more then 30 minutes to get downstairs. When we arrived for our full week stay i had asked for an accessible room and was told they had none available to fit our needs but we did have a room on the 7th floor and they would let me know when an accessible room came available, we are now 2 days from leaving and on the 3rd time we've had to carry our son and his wheelchair down 7 flights of stairs because waiting 45 minutes for the elevator is ridiculous and that was when we quit waiting. 4 times a cleaning staff came up and saw us and told us we wouldn't fit with them and their cart on the elevator. This was a Sunday morning stating at 9 am (you know mid checkout and when all the guests not just us are trying to get downstairs for breakfast or to leave). While I understand and can sympathize with the need to use the only working elevator to move the carts around, maybe during checkout/ breakfast isn't the best time? I strongly do not recommend anyone who can't or would prefer not to climb up and down stairs to stay here. Ada friendly they are not and as much as I've read the responses that they are addressing the issues I'm pretty certain it doesn't take 4+ months to get an elevator repair guy.

Jun 08, 2025 · Anarchy PeteStaff and valet service was great! They were all very friendly and nice! Location was great!! The actual hotel and room were not that great sadly. There was a total of 3 elevators but only 1 was working for a 13 floor hotel, never saw anyone working on it throughout the weekend. The one elevator that was working was very slow and sounded horrible-thought we were going to get stuck on it. There was a dead roach in the bathroom of our room and the air conditioning was so loud we couldn't sleep, and it didn’t cool that great either. Luckily we were not in our room much. With all the other hotels on the Riverwalk, there are better ones to choose from.
May 19, 2025 · Elizabeth FWhile this hotel is a bit dated and there is some visible wear and tear in the rooms, I still want to give this hotel 5 stars because the staff are friendly and really outstanding. The location is also perfect, very walkable to just about everything in downtown San Antonio. The housekeeping team are very responsive, and there is an indoor pool which is perfect for kids and you don't need to worry about the weather. Tip: they have three parking options, $45/ day for valet, and $10/day and $20/day for some garages a little further away. They have free fresh coffee available all day. We didn't run into one staff member that wasn't courteous and helpful. We would stay there again.
Mar 19, 2025 · EJ HThis is the 3d time staying here over the past 10 years, but it the first time we had a poor experience. Two of 3 elevators were out of operation, fortunately our room was on the second floor but with my wife being handicapped, it made the stay challenging. Sunday morning check-out left us waiting 3+ turns to get on the elevator with our cart of luggage, I ended up carrying everything down the stairs. The AC hardly ran cold enough for one of the two rooms making the bedroom a bit warm. Maintenance responded quickly and was able to get a bit more air blowing to the bedroom which made it better, but not what I would call great. The handicap seat in the bathtub was loose and looked like it would come out of the wall without much trouble so we avoided using it. The staff was helpful and friendly, and we appreciate that. This was likely our last stay at this location, at least until it gets a make-over.
May 18, 2025 · Richard SandersVery functional room. It's really great for extended stays. Used the pullout couch for my children. The room needs some upkeep. Chair was damaged, and the floor and couch had stains. Also, 2 of 3 elevators were out of order. I would stay here again.
