This hotel is newly renovated. Having a separate bedroom and living area makes for a comfortable stay. Both areas have very large TVs. The breakfast has a wide variety to choose from and the lady who is in charge of it is very friendly and keeps everything nicely stocked. I’m from the south and the heating system works well. I’ve been in some hotels where they cap the temperature. The comforter and beds are comfortable. The shower has plenty of water and is hot. I highly recommend.

Renovations: The hotel is "newly renovated," indicating updated decor, furnishings, and potentially improved facilities throughout the property. This is a significant promotional point, ensuring a modern guest experience.
The customer reviews for Homewood Suites by Hilton Hartford South-Glastonbury present a strong dichotomy, offering both compelling promotional points and serious areas of concern for potential guests. This provides a crucial objective perspective for local users utilizing the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform.
One review is overwhelmingly positive, serving as excellent promotional material: "This hotel is newly renovated. I highly recommend." This feedback directly promotes key aspects: the recent renovation, the comfort and space of the suites, high-quality in-room entertainment, an excellent and well-managed complimentary breakfast, effective climate control, comfortable bedding, and reliable hot water. The strong "highly recommend" serves as a powerful endorsement of the hotel's quality and guest experience.
However, another review details a deeply negative experience, which provides critical cautionary information: "I am deeply disappointed with my recent stay... I specifically chose this hotel for New Year’s Eve because the listing (booking.com) advertised a room with a whirlpool, which I paid extra for... upon arriving, I was shocked to find that the room only had a shower. When I called the front desk, I was informed that the hotel had no whirlpools due to renovations. This was not disclosed during booking, and the listing still advertised the feature... The situation only worsened when I contacted the booking agency to address the issue. The booking agency contacted the hotel staff directly, who then offered no resolution other than suggesting we leave. Calls from the agency to discuss further were ignored, which was frustrating and unprofessional. On top of this, a barking dog disturbed our rest well into the early morning hours... Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The false advertising, lack of customer service, and disruptions made what should have been a relaxing New Year’s celebration incredibly disappointing." This review highlights severe issues: false advertising (a whirlpool advertised but not available), lack of communication about renovations affecting amenities, extremely poor customer service (offering no resolution, ignoring calls), and noise disturbances (barking dog). The failure to provide a paid-for amenity and the subsequent handling of the complaint are major concerns for any guest. The mention of a barking dog also points to potential issues with pet policies or enforcement, which can impact other guests' quiet enjoyment.
For local users searching on a "Hotels Near Of Me" platform for extended stays, Homewood Suites by Hilton Hartford South-Glastonbury presents itself as a hotel with modern amenities and a generally positive guest experience, especially concerning room comfort, cleanliness, and breakfast. The "newly renovated" status is a significant promotional point, suggesting a fresh and contemporary environment. However, potential guests must be acutely aware of the serious issues raised regarding false advertising and poor customer service in resolving such discrepancies. It is crucial to verify directly with the hotel the availability of specific amenities, especially if they are a primary reason for booking, and to understand their current renovation status. While the hotel can offer a comfortable and well-appointed suite experience for extended stays, guests should proceed with caution and confirm all essential features to avoid disappointment, especially given the reported challenges in problem resolution.

Feb 03, 2025 · M SI am deeply disappointed with my recent stay at Homewood Suites, and I feel compelled to share my experience. My husband and I specifically chose this hotel for New Year’s Eve because the listing (booking.com) advertised a room with a whirlpool, which I paid extra for. Having access to this amenity was the sole reason I booked this property. I planned a relaxing evening, bringing bubble bath, candles, and other items to make it a special experience. However, upon arriving, I was shocked to find that the room only had a shower. When I called the front desk, I was informed that the hotel had no whirlpools due to renovations. This was not disclosed during booking, and the listing still advertised the feature. Had I known, I would have booked elsewhere. The situation only worsened when I contacted the booking agency to address the issue. The booking agency contacted the hotel staff directly, who then offered no resolution other than suggesting we leave. Calls from the agency to discuss further were ignored, which was frustrating and unprofessional. On top of this, a barking dog disturbed our rest well into the early morning hours (which was reported to the front desk). Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The false advertising, lack of customer service, and disruptions made what should have been a relaxing New Year’s celebration incredibly disappointing. I sincerely hope the hotel takes accountability for this and improves its communication and service in the future. I am awaiting a fair resolution for the inconvenience caused by this unacceptable experience.
Jan 02, 2025 · Natasha WhiteThe location is great. I had a seriou situation with my room and they took action immediately and accommodated me for the rest of my stay. If you're from Minnesota ask for Dennis, he's a vikings fan and extremely kind. The rooms are spacious. The living, dining and kitchen area are outside of the bedroom. The laundry is on the 3rd floor which was so convenient. Thank you Tally, Dennis, Yolly and Brian for making my stay worth while. The only thing I would suggest is that they get a seperate elevator for housekeeping, they take up the elevators in the morning. I almost forgot but check out J.Gilbert wood fire steak restaurant, the steaks are delicious and it's 2 minutes from the hotel.
May 06, 2025 · Jognell LCleaning was not on a set schedule. Was never sure when they were coming. Bathtub didn't drain. Told front desk and was never fixed.
Mar 03, 2025 · Vikki SpencerThis was a very well located hotel, and it had a really nice back sitting area. It is just a bit run down. Renovations have been done, but there is attention to detail that is missing. Components of my room didn't work. The location is so good that I might still go back.
