The Banquet Concierge Supervisor was phenomenal—she anticipated our needs before we even asked, from morning coffee runs to helping with logistics. The banquet/food & beverage staff were equally outstanding—professional, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was fresh and delicious—not your typical “conference food”—and the catering staff handled everything seamlessly. A big thank you to our Event Manager, who partnered with us every step of the way. We highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Coralville for meetings and events. The professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail truly made this a five-star experience.

Jul 31, 2025 · Mary BoneszNormally not one to write reviews because I don't like to complain, but after the issues with service today, I felt the need to speak up. I love this hotel, I do. I attend Anime Iowa every year and stay here, and it is stunning and the staff are very hospitable. Today I got unfortunate news that I can't attend and will be having emergency surgery. Per the Hyatt's website, cancellation is accepted and refundable as long as you do it 48 hours prior to check in. I missed this mark by 1 hour because I was, you know, finding out I needed surgery. Upon calling to cancel, and telling them it was an emergency surgery, I just kept being told I couldn't get a full refund because "the supervisor wouldn't approve." I wasn't even allowed to directly talk to the supervisor. I understand that there are policies in place, I really do. And again, this staff have always been so kind - conventions are rowdy and I appreciate them immensely. But I think things need to be handled a bit differently for different circumstances, especially when they claim there's a 48 hour policy and gosh forbid because of this medical issue it was a 47 hour policy. I just wish more had been done to help me because I'll need that money for this surgery. Even giving credit for a future stay or something so it wasn't a total loss at a time of financial stress.

No strange smells. Service: Front desk was helpful and ready to assist. Room service was polite and brought what I needed on time. Location: Parking garage was not crowded, walking distance to nice restaurants, no dangerous streets nearby, very family friendly. Walking trails connected are very pretty.
May 29, 2025 · Laurie WhiteI recently accompanied my husband on a 2-day convention that was held at the Hyatt. We asked & received a room on the 8th floor with a fantastic western view!! The clean room was spacious and SO QUIET that we truly felt like we were the only people on the floor---AWESOME!! The beds & assortment of pillows were comfy and enjoyed. The room darkening curtains (LOVED THEM), the upholstered bench (for sitting or luggage), the spacious desk area, and the table/chair in the corner of the room were ALL used and appreciated. The spacious closet area had a safe, an assortment of hangers, as well as an elevated area for your shoes---which we needed. We stored edible items in the fridge and I made their in-room "very good coffee"---with provided condiments---in the Keurig machine. The bathroom was beautifully lit, had ample counter space, a massive free standing hand mirror, 3 indented wall shelves for your personal items, 2 wall hooks, lots of plush towels, and a wonderful tub/shower. The room key was used at the FREE adjacent parking area, with a wonderful covered walkway leading directly to and from the hotel. My husband commented that EVERYTHING that was provided for his convention ---meeting room, food, staff---was TOP NOTCH!! And, finally---LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Right next to I80, and an "easy walk" to a medical clinic, Trader Joes, green spaces, dog walking, shopping, a terrific assortment of eating establishments, and the Xtream Arena!!! BRAVO--WELL DONE!!!!
Apr 10, 2025 · Janet FaineThe only real complaint is the water pressure, but that's an issue I've found in every hotel ever. Just a by-product of having hundreds of people in one building. The area is great, there's a lot of great places to eat within walking distance. It'd be nice to have the parking ramp connected to the hotel instead of having to walk outside (the walkway is mostly covered), but it is right next door so it's not horrible. The interior is beautiful, and I like that there's nothing behind the hotel except some nature.
