For Mother’s Day, my son gifted me a massage at Kenoza Spa—something I hadn’t planned on using, but I’m so glad I did. The spa’s peaceful, inviting atmosphere immediately put me at ease. Katie at the front desk was warm and helpful, answering all my questions with a smile. Lisa, my massage therapist, was phenomenal—her technique struck the perfect balance of gentle and firm, leaving me completely relaxed. I walked out feeling renewed. I highly recommend Kenoza Spa to anyone looking to truly unwind.

This is a consideration for those who are particularly sensitive to light during the night. The hotel also demonstrates a commitment to being a pet-friendly establishment, which is a significant advantage for guests traveling with their furry companions. While the hotel welcomes pets, one past guest noted an issue with the use of rock salt on snowy paths, which caused discomfort for their dog's paws. This feedback highlights the importance of the hotel continuing to refine its pet-friendly practices to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, including their animal companions. Furniture comfort in some rooms has also been a point of feedback for some guests, suggesting that while the overall aesthetic is appealing, the practical comfort of all furnishings is an area of ongoing refinement.

While the bungalow itself was nice and simple, it was difficult to sleep because bright exterior lights on neighboring bungalows illuminated the room. Each bungalow, though simply furnished and designed, has bright white lights placed outside. I'm sure these lights are intended for finding your way around, but if only the hotel could turn some, or all, of them off at some point during the night then we would sleep better. The bedroom has shades, but no blackout shades, so a soft light constantly entered the room, preventing us from sleeping during our two night stay. The staff was pleasant, but provided standard service. I appreciate that the hotel is pet-friendly, but using rock salt on the snowy paths hurt my dog's paws. They should know better. The room's furniture could also be more comfortable. For the price, there are too many other nice hotels in the Catskills. We won't be returning.

My sister and I planned a reunion here. Tiny room with a loud vent by the window with no towels or sheets. Ac not turned on though it was really hot. We booked the “spa weekend”. Expensive waste. Aromatherapy Massage in a vacant looking building with no choice of massage oils. Marginal and expensive food. Bar that seats 2 people. Wrote to the owner to express our disappointment and never heard back— it’s been a year. Waste of over $1,000 each for our short getaway

While this hotel has a lot of potential, unfortunately we didn't sleep well. The reviews mentioning the bright exterior lights are absolutely spot on! If staying in the bungalows, some neighboring cabins essentially have bright flood lights directed at your bedroom windows. These lights need attention and/or the cabins need blackout curtains.

I stayed here for my birthday and booked months in advance. I purchased the package deal for spa and dinner credit. When I tried to book my spa treatment a month in advance I was told nothing was available. I was very disappointed because I had purchased a spa package months before and it seems like common courtesy to ensure those who have booked the package would be able to enjoy the spa. After all that was my main reason for visiting on my birthday. After lots of emailing back and forth they finally said that they would be able to accommodate me with a massage but didn’t have any availability for facial. When we arrived on the day of we were told we were the only ones staying on the property. This made me realize that they didn’t have availability for the spa not because they were fully booked but because they didn’t have the staff. The masseuse, although she seemed very nice, was not the best and was probably the only person they could find. When you are paying $200 for a massage you want the best and not just whoever they can find. Check in is at 4:00pm but luckily since we were the only ones there they were able to offer early check in but hot tub and sauna close at 5:00. For these reasons alone I would not book because you are not guaranteed you will be able to book a massage or facial and if they don’t offer early check in hot tub time is limited. I don’t know any hotel that closes the hot tub and sauna at 5 pm and for almost $400/night not worth it. Also they don’t have any lunch offerings. Only some to go picnic boxes which are $30 and consist of sliced meat and Cheese. We had to drive into town for lunch and then rush back to make it before the hot tub and sauna closed. Lastly we had reservations at the restaurant at 8:30pm where the food was amazing but we were told at 9:10pm that they closed at 9:00pm and hadn’t even ordered our dinner yet. We had no idea and would have never made a 8:30 reservation if that was the case. This was a special occasion birthday dinner that we had booked months in advance and were the only ones staying on the whole property. I don’t know why they would even offer a reservation 30 minutes before close. This seems like the front desk should have been aware of our reservation and informed us of the close time and say that they would be happy to offer us an earlier reservation or at the very least, although it would still have been disappointing, the waitress could have told us when we sat down. Overall the hospitality and service seemed lazy, unorganized and unprofessional. When I spoke to the front desk about this they blamed it on the fact that it’s slow season so that is why they have not maintained standards. We spent $1000 in one day for a special birthday retreat and we were happy to, but I feel the service and organization of their whole establishment is lacking. There are so many other similar hotels in the area. I wouldn’t recommend Kenoza.
