This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. Within the first 30 seconds (walking to my room upstairs) some crackhead introduced himself as the maintenance worker/housekeeping, simultaneously a super twacked out flail queen runs out in the hallway and says “did ya ask him”. Then the crackhead housekeeper asks me if I want to buy some nasty duffle bags for $10 ea. here we go, I thought. Then I get to my room, there’s a nasty odor like this room hasn’t been cleaned in years. The floors are disgusting. No toilet paper, a hole in the bathroom door the size of a watermelon. Missing all the covers on light switches and vent fans, and missing the lock latch piece that attaches to the door so zero sense of privacy or security. I went to put my food in fridge but it didn’t work. Finally I had enough so asked to get moved. They moved me to another room, the bathroom door was okay. But there were dead bugs all over the bed, the employee opened the microwave to find rotten moldy food and asks “are you gonna use this..” nah man.. I’m good. So he proceeds to dump it in the sink 6 feet from my bed for the night. Also, this room was even more disgusting. The fridge had some containers of rotten food in the freezer part and when I opened it up to put my stuff in it I almost puked. So wasted money on perishable food since the fridge was also broke in this room and now it reeked like rotting flesh. The floor was so gross I had to keep my shoes on. I ended up leaving to the casino just to get out of there for a bit, but had to bring every single item of mine with me because I could hear the crackheads in the hall talking about things to ask to sell people (and I no longer had a good feeling about the maintenance/housekeeping employee knowing he’s selling empty duffle bags, that he probably peeled from guests at the hotel). I got back to the room around midnight and for the next 10 hours there were crackheads POUNDING on MY door, the neighbors door, and pretty much every room they heard someone in. And when I say this went on ALL NIGHT AND INTO THE MORNING I MEAN ALL NIGHT AND ALL MORNING. The first time someone knocked on my door for 15 minutes and finally I answered and told them to go away and stop pounding please people are trying to sleep. They came back four more times and pounded and pounded and pounded finally at 9:30 am I snapped my door open and started screaming at them to F off and went to the front desk where the manager was. I explained EVERY LITTLE THING that had happened including the crack heads, the disgusting rooms the fridges, moldy rotten food, maintenance man, barking dogs, etc. and he says I can’t refund you. I’m like that’s not gonna work for me. This is ridiculous that you’re even open. I paid for a room to sleep in for the night I’m on a road trip and I didn’t get what I paid for. I literally did not get one minute of sleep. I couldn’t even lay on that bug infested bed. I sat in The broken chair and read all night while ignoring the crackheads. He nonchalantly says okay that’s fine no refund. I told him he should be ashamed of himself for running such a trashy place and I’m definitely reporting this place to whoever can shut it down. Save your money, this place is literally a rotting dumpster filled with the worst kind of crack heads and tweakers. He charged me $60 for a room and it wasn’t worth 60¢. Worst experience ever.
For those living in or traveling through the Iowa region, finding a hotel that meets your needs without breaking the bank is often a priority. The market offers a wide range of options, but for a straightforward, no-frills stay, many turn to established, economy-focused properties. Knights Inn Davenport is one such hotel, providing basic lodging with a focus on affordability and a convenient location. It's the kind of place that appeals to travelers on a tight budget, offering a simple room for a quick overnight stop. The hotel is situated in a busy part of Davenport, making it easily accessible for those driving through the area on a road trip. However, it is important for potential guests to manage their expectations and be aware of the kind of experience they are likely to encounter. As with any budget accommodation, experiences can vary, and it is crucial to consider all available information before making a reservation. The hotel is often referred to as "Relax Inn" in some online listings, so this is something to keep in mind when researching and booking.
A stay at a budget hotel like the Knights Inn Davenport is fundamentally different from a stay at a luxury or mid-range property. The primary focus is on providing a bed and a bathroom at a low price point. This can be a viable option for local Iowans in certain circumstances, such as needing a place to stay during a short-term emergency or for a brief visit to the area. However, recent public feedback and reviews suggest that guests should be extremely cautious and prepared for a potentially difficult stay. One extensive customer review describes a host of issues, from unpleasant odors and unclean conditions to broken amenities and a lack of security. This feedback paints a picture of a hotel that may struggle to meet basic standards of cleanliness and safety. While some online listings mention services like complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi, the real-world experience described by guests suggests that the practical application of these services may be unreliable. It is therefore crucial to exercise due diligence and consider these factors carefully before booking, as the hotel may not be suitable for every guest, especially those who prioritize cleanliness, security, and a quiet environment.
The Knights Inn Davenport is located at 6310 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52806, USA. This location offers solid accessibility for travelers moving through the region. It is situated just two miles south of Interstate 80, a major east-west artery, and is also conveniently close to Route 61. This makes the hotel a logical stop for those on a long road trip or for truck drivers, as bus and large-vehicle parking is available. The location places it in a busy commercial corridor of Davenport, providing easy access to a variety of nearby amenities. For instance, the hotel is in close proximity to NorthPark Mall, which offers numerous shopping and dining options. There are also several local restaurants and businesses within a short drive. The hotel is also near other key Quad Cities attractions, including the Figge Art Museum, Rhythm City Casino, and Isle of Capri Casino, though the reviews suggest that using the hotel as a base for these activities may be challenging. The hotel's position on a main road provides a direct route to and from these destinations, and it is also about a 13-mile drive from the Quad City International Airport (MLI).
While the location itself is convenient from a logistical standpoint, its immediate environment may not be conducive to a peaceful stay. The area is bustling, and as detailed in a review, this can sometimes lead to an unsettling atmosphere, with guests reporting noisy neighbors and a general sense of unease. For local Iowans, this location could be an option for a temporary stay if they are attending a nearby event or need a quick stopover, but the documented issues regarding safety and cleanliness are a significant concern. The hotel’s proximity to major roads and commercial centers is its primary strength from a location perspective, offering ease of access for motorists. However, for those seeking a quiet, secure, and clean place to rest, the reviews indicate that the location’s benefits may be outweighed by the negative on-site experiences. It is essential for anyone considering a stay here to weigh the convenience of the location against the potential for an uncomfortable and unsafe stay, as reported by real customers.
Based on public data, the Knights Inn Davenport provides a range of basic services and amenities, though their quality and availability may be questionable according to guest feedback. The hotel aims to provide the essentials that budget-conscious travelers expect, including the following:
Given the significant negative feedback, the "features and highlights" of the Knights Inn Davenport are a matter of public record and should be viewed with extreme caution. The provided reviews highlight a number of issues that may be considered significant drawbacks rather than positive features.
For more information or to make a booking, the Knights Inn Davenport can be contacted directly. The address is 6310 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52806, USA. The phone number is (563) 386-6350, and the mobile phone number is +1 563-386-6350. When making a booking, it is strongly recommended that you inquire about the specific condition of the rooms and the availability of amenities to manage your expectations and ensure you get what you need for your stay. You may also want to ask about the hotel’s policies regarding refunds and guest satisfaction, especially in light of the negative feedback that is available online.
In conclusion, while the Knights Inn Davenport may appear to be a suitable option for locals in the Iowa region seeking a very low-cost place to stay, it is essential to be fully aware of the public feedback and potential issues associated with this property. The hotel’s primary appeal lies in its low price point and convenient location near major highways and local attractions. However, the documented accounts of poor cleanliness, broken amenities, and serious safety concerns suggest that it may not be a suitable choice for many travelers, including locals who simply need a safe and clean place to stay. The hotel has received overwhelmingly negative reviews regarding its upkeep, the behavior of its staff, and the overall security of the premises. For these reasons, it is difficult to recommend this hotel for a restful or secure stay. For Iowans and visitors alike, it is crucial to prioritize personal safety and comfort, and the available information suggests that this hotel may not be able to reliably provide either.

May 10, 2024 · Mad QueenThis is a run down hotel. Never stayed here but visited someone who did! TV didn't work the blanket on top of the bed had a big burn hole in it! The carpet was nasty!
Jun 18, 2024 · James PylesNot worth the money. I paid 35 bucks and it was still to much. I got a dirty bed with a big yellow stain on my comforter. Brought it to the front desk. Was told they send someone to fix the bed. They brought me a blanket. I asked about the sheets because the dirty blanket touched the sheets and he said that house keeping wasn't here but he could bring me some sheets. He did just that brought me a set of sheets handed them to me and walked away.... so I make my own bed now ? Ridiculous shouldn't be allowed to do business. Do not stay here!
Mar 07, 2019 · Chelsea LidikayVery run down and unprofessional. They no longer offer breakfast. False advertising. Dirty grounds just very bad experience overall. My blanket had a big stain on it they didn't even send house keeping to fix my bed just brought me another blanket that was just as dirty. There was trash all over the front room when I walked in to check in. I should have just turned around and walked away right at that moment. Terrible management. Terrible staff. Dirty run down rooms with old TVs that dont work. Better places in town for an extra 10 bucks. Spend the extra money and stay away from this place.
Mar 07, 2019 · 1000 CorpseThis place needs to be shut down or be taken better care of. There is trash everywhere outside. The hall ways stink. The rooms are so outdated. The sheets we're dirty. There was mold in the bathroom. I seen roaches on the walls in the halls and in my room. I would NOT stay here. It's dirty noisy all the damn time.
