My Recent Stay at Legoland Hotel NY: A Disastrous Display of Customer Service. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the customer service I received during my recent stay at the Legoland Hotel in NY. My two-night reservation was tragically cut short when my son suffered an ankle sprain while at the park. This unforeseen emergency necessitated an early departure.I checked out around 2 PM on what should have been the first day of our stay. Given the circumstances – a child's injury and the inability to enjoy the park or utilize our hotel room for the second night – I requested some consideration from the hotel. I wasn't demanding a full refund, but a partial discount would have been a reasonable gesture of compassion.Instead, I was met with what felt like callous indifference. The hotel staff seemed utterly unmoved by my son's situation, almost as if they were smirking at our misfortune. I reiterated that I understood hotel policies, but I was appealing to their sense of empathy and basic human decency in light of our emergency.Their response? A flat refusal. While they may have the right to adhere strictly to their policies, they utterly failed in demonstrating any semblance of customer care. This isn't about the money; it's about how a company responds to a family in distress. This experience highlighted a profound lack of empathy and a complete disregard for customer well-being.Legoland Hotel NY had the opportunity to turn a bad situation into something slightly more positive. They could have shown that they value their guests, not just their bottom line. Instead, they chose the latter.Because of this experience, I will NEVER stay at a Legoland Hotel again. This level of poor customer service is unacceptable, and I strongly advise other families to consider alternative accommodations where compassion and understanding are valued. This hotel clearly prioritizes profit over people.

May 10, 2025 · Emerson SampaioRather pricey but very nice kid friendly hotel. TVs in the rooms were the only part that didn't work quite as well as advertised. Everything else was great. Friendly staff. Kid friendly everything. Right next to the park. Easy parking. No complaints except the price being on the high side.
Apr 17, 2025 · Peter RichardsonThe kids had a good time. Proximity to park is awesome, Lego theme everything is great, the staff we did interact with were generally friendly, and check-in is a breeze. But there are few major drawbacks as a paying parent to be aware of if looking to book here. The general feeling is that they skimp on basics and charge extra wherever possible. If coming back, I’d stay elsewhere and drive to the park. First, somehow they expect you to know that housekeeping is not provided and only available on request. Coming back after a long day at the park to dirty towels in the floor, no replacement of empty tissue paper, no cleaning, etc was an unwelcome surprise for the price they charge. There is no front desk, and texting this feedback to the phone number they provide lead to a generic apology with no resolution. The complimentary breakfast is truly terrible as many others have stated. Basic kids options like pancakes, fruit or French toast (like what they picture under their complimentary breakfast messaging online) are all extra. Complimentary “Juice” machines were all broken, with spouts pouring out only water. Fountain drinks are extra. Watch out that many of the products at the gift shop have a sizable price increase over standard Lego MSRP and they don’t price-match since they are a different company. To be fair, this is the same as the Park and not unique to the hotel.
Apr 27, 2025 · Christian FOverall our kids had a great time but be prepared for several surprises and disappointments… The first thing we learned the hard way is that there is a 45 day cancellation policy. Not typical for a hotel so we made it work. Next, there is no mention or offer of bundling park tickets with purchasing your hotel stay. This seems like a pretty standard cross sell. The hotel was definitely under staffed. Our room was never fully cleaned after room service. Crumbs on the floor, surfaces not wiped down. And the same goes for the common area where the kids play. The tables were never wiped down. For the pricing they are charging, the expectation would be a little better services. The food was cafeteria quality and came out lukewarm. It pains me to leave a negative review. It is my hope that it helps LEGOLAND improve because we would like to go back to a better experience.
Jan 02, 2025 · Sean V.This was our fourth time staying here and it seems like the quality of our stay has decreased each time. A few things from this trip that may stop us from booking again: -We ate at BRICKS Family Restaurant, one of the hotel's on site eateries. They've inexplicably switched to an Italian menu with only a few items, none of which most kids would want to eat. I ordered the salmon, which was incredibly fishy, and the polenta it was served with was cold. All told, our dinner for four people was over $200 with the tip for food that was at best, subpar. Breakfast at BRICKS the following morning was equally disappointing, though thankfully, most of it was included with our stay. I say most, because they have decided that things like a bowl of seven bite sized chunks of melon etc, now cost extra. -We paid for a late checkout, so we could stay at the hotel until noon and then head to the park. At 9:15, a housekeeping employee knocked on our door multiple times-my family was still asleep. I opened the door in a towel and she glared at me, then wordlessly went to the door across from us and did the same thing. I said, "did you need something?" and she looked me up and down and said "checkout is at 11". I told her we paid for late checkout and she shrugged and said "out by 11". I have never had this happen to me before in any of the hotels and resorts I've stayed in. Even if we hadn't paid for late checkout, we still had nearly 2 hours in the room. I felt this was incredibly unprofessional. -I hope this last thing is a learning experience for the resort, but they had a balloon drop since it was New Year' s Eve. I am allergic to latex, and one of our daughters has a latex sensitivity, so I asked if the balloons were latex. The staff did not know but said they assumed so since they ordered the balloons off of Amazon. They were sweet about it and offered to research and let me know for sure, but if you ARE allergic to latex, please know that they also use latex gloves in their food service areas. -The Arcade in the hotel: half the machines were broken. There were no signs on the out of order ones, so we loaded a card and only played three games. However, each game costs a ridiculous amount of money to play. Overall, the hotel was a huge disappointment. It isn't cheap to stay here, so I really hope Legoland changes some things going forward. Paying this amount of money, plus hundreds for mediocre food and service, is the reason we will likely stay at a hotel and drive into the park next time.
