For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Liberty Lodge offers a distinctive option, particularly catering to guests requiring extended stays or those desiring apartment-style amenities. Located at 2021 E 3rd St, Williamsport, PA 17701, USA, Liberty Lodge can be contacted at (570) 505-1251 or +1 570-505-1251. This establishment aims to provide the comforts of home, particularly for long-term visitors.
Liberty Lodge is situated on East 3rd Street, a prominent thoroughfare in Williamsport, within what is often referred to as the city's "Golden Strip." This location is highly convenient, placing the lodge in a shopping district with numerous retail and dining establishments. Guests can find various options for food, supplies, and entertainment within walking distance, enhancing the practicality of an extended stay. The shared parking area with the adjacent Econo Lodge is a point to note regarding parking access.
Williamsport, as a city, is famously known as the home of the Little League Baseball World Series, attracting a significant number of visitors annually. While the immediate vicinity of the lodge is commercial, the broader Williamsport area offers a mix of urban conveniences and access to the natural beauty of central Pennsylvania. Attractions like the Williamsport Country Club, River Front Park, and the Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum are relatively close by. However, it is important to acknowledge that some past guest reviews have described the immediate surrounding area as "ghetto" with issues related to unsupervised children and the smell of marijuana, suggesting that the neighborhood experience might not be uniformly positive for all guests. The proximity to Williamsport Regional Airport, approximately a 10-minute drive away, is a practical advantage for air travelers.
Liberty Lodge distinguishes itself by offering apartment-style suites, making it particularly suitable for extended stays, families, or individuals who prefer the independence of self-catering. Each of the 30 suites is equipped with a full-size kitchen, including a stove (though some guests have reported issues with burner functionality), a full-size refrigerator, a sink, and a dishwasher. The inclusion of cooking and eating utensils further enhances the ability of guests to prepare their own meals, which can be a significant cost-saving and comfort factor for longer visits.
In addition to kitchen facilities, rooms typically feature a private bathroom, often described as spacious and well-appointed, with a shower/tub combination and complimentary toiletries. Standard amenities include free wired and wireless Wi-Fi (100+ Mbps, suitable for multiple devices), 37-inch flat-screen TVs with cable channels and access to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, air conditioning, and heating. A desk and an oversized workstation are also provided, catering to business travelers. Ironing boards are available, and daily housekeeping is provided. For those with pets, Liberty Lodge is pet-friendly, allowing dogs and cats for an additional fee, with service animals exempt.
The lodge provides a complimentary continental breakfast daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM. For business travelers, there's a 24-hour business center with free fax and copy services. Other conveniences include coin-operated guest laundry facilities, free self-parking, and a free airport shuttle service (available on request from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM). The property is smoke-free. The check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out is 12:00 PM.
Guest feedback, however, points to some service inconsistencies. Issues with air conditioning not functioning properly have been reported, leading to uncomfortable room temperatures. While staff are generally described as helpful by some, one review highlights an instance of rude front desk service and a lack of proactive solutions for room availability. This suggests that while a wide range of services are offered, the execution and maintenance of these services can sometimes fall short of guest expectations, particularly concerning responsiveness to in-room maintenance issues.
The most prominent feature of Liberty Lodge is its suite-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens. This sets it apart from typical hotel rooms and makes it an attractive option for families, business travelers on extended assignments, or anyone preferring the independence of self-catering. The spaciousness of the rooms and bathrooms is often appreciated, providing more comfort than standard hotel layouts, especially for families or longer stays. Some rooms may also feature a patio, offering an outdoor space.
Another key aspect is its potential for long-term stays, evidenced by guests who have resided there for extended periods. The ability to cook meals and have a full-size refrigerator is a major convenience in such scenarios. The lodge also boasts a 24-hour fitness center, a restaurant (Hana's Asian Bistro is noted to be on-site, sharing facilities with the Econo Lodge), a coffee shop/cafe, a bar/lounge, and barbecue grills, adding to the on-site amenities available for guests. A picnic area is also available for outdoor enjoyment. The property is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring wheelchair-accessible paths, registration desks, and accessible bathrooms in select rooms.
However, the social environment within the lodge has been a significant point of concern for some guests. Reviews mention instances of unsupervised children running around at all hours, noise complaints, and an overall perception of a "ghetto" or "trashy" environment due to the presence of "druggies" and frequent police presence. This indicates a potential dichotomy between the well-appointed rooms and the perceived atmosphere in public areas or among some long-term residents. While some guests found it surprisingly quiet at bedtime, the overall social dynamics can be a detractor for others. It is important to note that the upper floors are accessible by stairs only, which might be a consideration for some guests.
Liberty Lodge positions itself as a welcoming and comfortable "second home" in Williamsport, particularly for extended stays. It emphasizes the convenience of its fully equipped kitchenettes and spacious rooms, aiming to provide all the comforts of home. Promotional material highlights its proximity to shopping and dining, free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and fitness facilities. Corporate and extended stay rates are explicitly available, indicating its target market. The availability of a free airport shuttle also enhances its appeal for travelers arriving by air.
For individuals searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," Liberty Lodge offers a functional and amenity-rich option, especially for those needing kitchen facilities. However, prospective guests should carefully weigh the varied feedback regarding the social environment and service consistency. While the physical amenities of the rooms, especially the kitchens and spacious bathrooms, are generally well-received and provide great value, the common areas and the overall atmosphere due to other guests can impact the experience. The lodge attracts a diverse clientele, including those on government assistance, which, for some guests, affects the perceived quality of the stay. Ultimately, Liberty Lodge offers a practical solution for lodging in Williamsport with distinct features, but potential guests should manage expectations regarding the broader social environment within the property and the responsiveness to maintenance issues like air conditioning. The convenience of its location and its comprehensive in-room amenities, especially for longer stays, remain strong selling points.

Apr 13, 2025 · Mary AllisonWe are currently staying here because we don’t have a place to go, we are a family of 6; 2 adults, 4 children. Overall it’s a pretty nice place, comes with everything needed to be able to live here.. kitchen is very useful, stove, full size refrigerator, sink, dishwasher etc.. only problem in our room is only one burner works on the stove so we can only cook one thing at a time! But still better than nothing. The bathroom is gorgeous and very spacious. Our biggest issue is the air conditioner! Our original one stopped working and was blowing warm air, so they replaced it but it still isn’t working properly! It shuts off constantly and doesn’t blow anything hardly at all, our room is at least 75 degrees all day and night long and it is getting unbearable especially with a 4 month old baby! I’ve called countless times about it and nothing is done. Another issue is the fact that there are ALWAYS kids running around all hours of the night, little kids cursing, and threatening to beat up my daughter for no reason, there’s no supervision whatsoever, none of the parents are ever around. I had to yell at at least 8 kids last night for being outside my door screaming when I’m trying to put my kids to bed. There’s so many druggies here, the whole place smells like weed, cops are always here so super ghetto area! overall tho it is pretty quiet at bedtime which is surprising! but overall i guess i would give this a 2!
Nov 05, 2024 · danielle MoyerFriendly staff, nice parking, great price, very accommodating, comfortable beds and clean rooms, quiet. Overall great experience! This is in the same place as econolodge but much nicer rooms with kitchens. 3 floors with an elevator and parking for big trucks. The staff here are just great representatives of the motel. They make you feel welcome and do what they can to make your stay a pleasant experience, mission accomplished.
Sep 27, 2023 · Matthew DunstanFirst, look at what you're paying per night and set your expectations accordingly. If you are looking for a cheap place to crash, this is fine. We stayed for a work trip. Rooms are efficiency apartments with stove stop, dishwasher, larger fridge than a hotel room, and utensils. Also, they have plates, bowls, glasses, coffee cups, and pots and pans. They do not do daily service so if you need towels or toiletries, you have to go to the lobby. This is part of the econolodge. I had issues with my door and they had to move me to another room. The general manager was exceptionally nice and tried his best to make up for the bad situation. It isn't the Ritz but they functioned well enough for us. The complex does have some long term residents and it was a bit obnoxious. I understand that it is out of managements hands but there were kids playing in the parking lot all day and pretty late into the evening. That wasn't the worst part though. The worst part was their, let's say, oversized mom who insisted to yell at them all day at the top of her very large lungs, using a choice word that starts with "f".
Aug 12, 2023 · Matthew SoltThis Hotel very dated in just the year since we stayed there. Prices are way too high just to get more money from the LLWS . This is mainly permanent residents that occupy most of the rooms and you can tell by the up keep of the property. Stay cats following you to your room. , Barking dogs and to top hit off Swat showed up 2 times in less than 24 hours . So we found another place to stay for our safety.
