Avoid this place if you can. The front desk staff was friendly and kind. The room was a different story. The linens and bathroom appeared clean, but we had to thoroughly check the bed for bedbugs. Mattress was very dirty under the sheets. The closet door was off the hinges/broken and the shelf above the AC was also off the wall. The AC had not been cleaned in who knows how long. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Jun 25, 2025 · David Jaramillo🚫 TRAVEL WARNING: Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham – Madison East, WI 🚫 Just wanted to share my recent experience to help others avoid the same headache. I originally booked a different hotel through Hopper, but when I arrived, I found out they no longer work with Hopper — even though the app still let me book. Hopper then moved my reservation way out the way to Microtel Inn & Suites Madison East, without clear info or transparency. When I arrived, I found out (only then) that I needed to pay a $100 cleaning deposit in CASH — something that wasn’t listed on Hopper or mentioned when the change was made. I’m a trucker, so after a long day, I just wanted to rest, stretch out, and enjoy some A/C and a hot shower. But instead, I was hit with surprise fees and disappointment. Let’s talk about the hotel: • The stairs and hallways were dirty before I even got to my room. • Strong, unpleasant odor on the second floor and inside the room. • Room was musty with the A/C completely off and barely working once turned on. • Room was not properly cleaned – table hadn’t even been wiped down. • TV only had a few channels working – the rest didn’t load at all. Overall, this was not a relaxing or comfortable stay, and definitely not what I expected or paid for. If you’re considering staying here, just be aware: 🔹 There’s a $100 cash-only cleaning deposit. 🔹 Expect low cleanliness standards. 🔹 A/C and room quality are not what’s shown online. Hope this helps someone avoid the same stress. Safe travels, especially to my fellow truckers who just want a clean, cool room after a long haul. 💯
Jul 17, 2025 · Amber WilliamsThey have Bed Bugs!!!! Upon entering my room I was greeted with a set of stained bedsheets and pillow cases. (There was hair and yellowish stains all over the sheets). After receiving a fresh set of sheets, I decided I wanted to shower only to be met by a brownish stained tub and stained towels (I bleach cleaned the shower myself and the stains lifted Effortlessly). So when I left to do the job I was in town for, I returned to my room to find out that my tv only had 10 channels available (the local channels) so that was surprise #3….When I went to change my sheets , I noticed 2 bedbugs scurrying across the mattress where I was sitting briefly while trying to find a channel to watch. This was the last straw. I grabbed my belongings and checked out early. I captured the bedbugs in a cup to show to the desk attendant, where he vouched to be my witness since he couldn’t do much else at the time. When I tried to get a refund, the attendant told me that only the owner can give a refund and he recommended that I call in the morning when he should be present. I’ve called numerous times over a span of weeks and I keep getting the run around. No one knows when the owner is coming in and no one asks for info to have him contact me! (With exception of 1 woman who seemed pretty adamant on helping me,but still no progress). I don’t know what else to do as we all know bedbugs travel, so I’ve had to buy new luggage and toss my clothes to avoid bringing them into my home. I just called and they still claim that they know nothing about the owners whereabouts. This is beyond frustrating and I didn’t want to take it to the internet, but I am left with no choice. The customer service is horrible, the hotel is run down and very dirty. I bit the apple seeing the low rate, and I only needed somewhere to sleep due to my working throughout most of the day and evening(I’m a wedding photographer). I was barely in the room and I feel entitled to a full refund. Regardless of the rate,No one pays for bed bugs, dirty sheets, or used towels, and dirty showers!!! id give them Negative 5 stars if I could! Oh…and when I was trying to scan myself into the exterior door, a man approached me begging me to let him sleep on my floor. Heck no!! Stay away especially if you have families!!! You’ve been warned!!
Jun 26, 2025 · Elijah JonesThere were so many problems with this hotel, our air conditioning wasn't working and my family and I were roasting all night. My key card stopped working not even 3 hours of being here. We found 2 outlets in the room and the clock, one of the 4 plug ins on the clock worked. The toilet moves quite a lot when any of us sat on it. The bathroom was dirty when we got here. There are only local channels which was fine I guess because we used Netflix and other platforms from our computer. The gym only has a treadmill, and walk/run thing (I dont know what they are called) and a bike thing. You need a key to use the treadmill which is at the front desk, and they guy looked surprised when I asked for it like he almost didn't know where it was. The bike one doesnt work, you can still use it but you cant track anything on it cause it won't turn on. This is our first night here, Friday, we have to stay till Sunday. For the not working air conditioning, he brought us a fan that kinda works, also re activated my card, but not before he had a conversation with one if his friends on speaker phone when me and my mother were standing there. We only got 2 towel in the room with 3 people in here so we also had to go down and ask for another one so we can all shower. Would not recommend here at all.
Jul 26, 2025 · Christine PackinghamTerrible!! Photos DO NOT represent the actual rooms. Awful lighting. Thin strip of light above the bed, that's it. Carpets are dirty. I was afraid to set my things down for fear of bedbugs. The smell of skunky weed permeated the room and hallway. No way were we going to stay there. It felt unsafe. Called Priceline and they called the motel. They refused to issue a refund although we didn't stay there. They also did not reverse the $50 hold for security deposit on my credit card. We drove home over 100 miles to avoid staying here.
