The hotel/ resort rooms, house rooms and themed rooms are really nice, but these buildings are seriously outdated. The beds are really uncomfortable, we didn't have Wi-Fi all weekend long and the walls are paper thin. Definitely not worth the price, even at half off... Updated to give one more star since they let us switch rooms for our last night
As a resident of Wisconsin, you know that Wisconsin Dells holds a special place in the state’s leisure and tourism landscape. It's the "Waterpark Capital of the World," a go-to destination for family fun. When planning a trip here, the most important decision is often where to stay. Mt. Olympus is one of the most recognizable names in the Dells, offering a massive complex of theme and water parks. However, its lodging is spread across various buildings, each with its own character and set of customer experiences. This guide is dedicated to Mt. Olympus - Building 30, located at 1700 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy. We'll provide a clear, factual, and engaging overview from a local's perspective, helping you to understand what a stay here is truly like and if it's the right fit for your family's next adventure.
It's vital to have a realistic understanding of what the term "resort" means in this context. At Mt. Olympus, the primary allure is the comprehensive package of lodging combined with free, unlimited access to the water and theme parks. The hotel room itself is a part of this package, but as customer reviews indicate, it may not be the main highlight. For example, one review described the buildings as "seriously outdated," with "uncomfortable" beds and "paper thin" walls. Another guest had an even more troubling experience, reporting "blood on the sheets" and "dirty towels," which points to significant issues with cleanliness and quality control. These are serious concerns that any potential guest should be aware of.
However, it's also important to note the flip side of the coin. The first review mentioned that the "hotel/ resort rooms, house rooms and themed rooms are really nice," before a more detailed description of the building issues. This suggests there might be a wide variety of room types and experiences across the property, and that this particular building may not be representative of the entire resort. A key takeaway is that the staff was willing to move the guest to a new room, showing a willingness to address issues when brought to their attention. The primary value, as with all Mt. Olympus lodging, lies in the included park access. The review that mentioned the poor room experience also highlighted the included water and theme park passes as a major draw. For a local family looking to maximize their time on the rides and slides, the hotel room may simply be seen as a place to sleep, and the cost savings from the included park passes might outweigh the room's shortcomings.
This article will delve into the specifics of Mt. Olympus - Building 30, providing details on its location, the services that come with a stay, and the key features that make it a compelling option for certain types of travelers. Our goal is to arm you with all the facts, so you can make a well-informed decision for your next trip to the Dells.
Mt. Olympus - Building 30 is situated at 1700 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, a prime location right in the heart of Wisconsin Dells. The Dells Parkway, also known as Highway 12, is the central hub of the city's entertainment and commercial activity. This address places you in an ideal spot to access not only the Mt. Olympus parks but also many other attractions, restaurants, and shops.
Accessibility for guests is generally excellent. The Dells Parkway is easily reachable from major highways, making the journey to the hotel straightforward for anyone driving in from across the state. However, it's important to know that the check-in process for all Mt. Olympus lodging guests is often handled at a main registration building, which may not be at the same address as your room. This decentralized system can be a bit confusing and requires you to drive to two different locations upon arrival.
Despite the check-in procedure, the location of Building 30 itself is a major advantage. It puts you in a perfect position to explore the entire Dells area. You'll be within close proximity to a variety of attractions, from mini-golf courses to dinner shows, and will have an easy time getting to the Mt. Olympus parks themselves. The availability of on-site parking at the various Mt. Olympus buildings is a key amenity that makes getting around the Dells by car simple.
The services offered at Mt. Olympus are built around the theme and water park experience. While the quality of in-room amenities can be a mixed bag, the overall package is what makes the stay appealing to many.
Water and Theme Park Passes: The most significant service is the inclusion of free passes to the Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park. This is a tremendous value, as park access is included for every day of your stay, including the day you check in and the day you check out.
Basic Room Amenities: Rooms are typically equipped with essential appliances like a microwave and a mini-fridge. This is a practical amenity for families who want to store snacks or prepare simple meals, saving money on dining out.
Wi-Fi Service: The hotel advertises Wi-Fi service, but as one customer review noted, it may not always be reliable. This is an important detail for guests who need a consistent internet connection.
24-Hour Front Desk: There is a 24-hour front desk at the main registration building to assist with any issues or questions that may arise during your stay. This is where guests would go to report issues with their rooms, as one of the reviews noted.
On-Site Laundry: Many of the buildings at Mt. Olympus have laundry facilities, which is a convenient service for guests on a longer vacation.
The features and highlights of a stay at Mt. Olympus - Building 30 are almost exclusively tied to the resort's spectacular attractions.
Unbeatable Park Access: The biggest highlight is the complimentary access to both the indoor and outdoor water and theme parks. The parks themselves are consistently praised and include a wide array of water slides, go-karts, and rollercoasters that provide endless entertainment for the whole family.
Family-Oriented Fun: The entire resort is designed for families. The combination of lodging and park access provides a one-stop-shop for entertainment, simplifying vacation planning.

It’s a great choice for families who are planning a trip to the Dells primarily for the water and theme parks, and for whom the included park passes represent a significant value. If your family is the type to spend all day on the rides and slides, and only needs a place to sleep at night, then this resort can be a very economical and practical choice. Jul 27, 2025 · JessiFound blood on the sheets and they left dirty towels in our room, which is just scratching the surface. Can’t say enough about what a poor experience we had here
Jul 06, 2025 · Melissa BroxtermanOur room/building was absolutely disgusting. To start with the halls looked like they haven’t vacuumed in months. Elevator did not work. Long black hair in ALL of the shower towels. We didn’t realize this til we picked hair off our bodies and looked in the towels (we’re all blonde). Mold and mildew all over the bathroom . You had to force the bathroom door shut. The beds had no headboards. Rather there was a cheap drawing of headboards on the wall paper. I would steer far away from this “resort”. It’s not worth the free park tickets. There is much better in the Dells.
Jun 18, 2024 · Nick TGreat location to the park and near by attractions. If you have to call the front desk good luck on politeness. The rooms are smaller than I remember the beds are dreadful. I literally slept on the floor all 3 nights we stayed. So bad we left the whole establishment a night early. This was our second trip to the dells, I however don't feel like there will ever be a third.
Jun 12, 2024 · PleeyouGCIf all you care about is location then building 30 is perfect. Literally right in front of the park, 5 minute walk to the entrance. However, if having a decent hotel is important to you then don't stay here. We booked 2 rooms for a few days and were told we would have early check in at 10. They gave us our complimentary bracelets that act as a key card to the room, entrance to the park, and "can be scanned at the park if you want to buy anything and it would be charged directly to your room"( I put that in quotes because it didn't work, and if it did i wouldn't want it anyways, that's so unsafe) we had all of our luggage so we couldn't go straight to the park. Our rooms weren't ready until 5:30pm. That's 7 and a half hours of waiting. No answer from the front desk and no call backs. Once we got our rooms they were very dirty, hair everywhere, dirt and grime on the tub, sink, toilet, and bed frame. The only thing that was clean was the new sheets and towels. We had a lot of bugs which I'm hoping were water bugs, no toilet lid, shower did not drain, and it smelled moldy. And the worst part of all, the wifi didn't even work
