Paradise Streams was okay. It is a bit outdated, and the activities need to be taken care of. The pool tables felt very worn, the mini golf clubs need new handles, and the bowling game seems to be constantly down. The board games were missing pieces. I can't say much on the outdoor activities due to a ton of rain during my stay. The rooms are good, but they could use a new paint job. The chimney smoked into the room due to a downdraft in the chimney. The ceiling had some water staining. The champagne jacuzzi, indoor personal pool, and sauna were very nice. I'm not sure if I would say it was worth the price. I don't want to spend over 1000 dollars for a room that needs touched up or indoor activities that look neglected. The staff was nice, the dinner was good, and the breakfast was OK. The nightclub and bar on the premises were nice, but it was mostly dead. To be fair, it was the middle of a random week, so it may be better during romantic holidays.

Paradise Stream Resort is nestled in the scenic Paradise Valley, a picturesque part of the Pocono Mountains. The environment is designed to foster a sense of seclusion and romance, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The resort's layout often features standalone or semi-private suites scattered across the property, providing a degree of privacy for couples. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Poconos, guests can expect a tranquil backdrop, with lush greenery in warmer months and potentially snowy landscapes in winter, depending on the season. While specific details on the resort's outdoor landscaping beyond the valley setting are not extensively provided, the overall emphasis is on creating a peaceful and intimate atmosphere for couples. Despite being in a natural setting, the resort is generally designed for indoor-focused activities and amenities within the suites, complementing the romantic theme. It aims to offer an escape where couples can enjoy each other's company in a dedicated, private environment.
Paradise Stream Resort is specifically geared towards providing services that enhance a romantic getaway for couples. The primary focus is on the unique in-room amenities and the overall ambiance, with supplementary services like dining and entertainment. Key services and provisions typically include:
Distinctive Suites: The resort offers a variety of themed suites, famously featuring amenities like the iconic heart-shaped "champagne" whirlpool tubs, private indoor swimming pools (in some higher-end suites), and personal saunas. These are consistently highlighted by guests as being very nice and a major draw.
Dining: Guests can expect dining options on-site. Reviews indicate that dinner is generally good, and breakfast is available, providing convenience for guests who prefer to dine within the resort. The dining experience is often structured to accommodate couples.
Entertainment and Nightlife: The resort includes a nightclub and bar on the premises, offering evening entertainment. While guest feedback suggests it can be quiet during off-peak times (e.g., middle of a random week), it is designed to be a lively spot, particularly during romantic holidays or weekends.
Staff Interaction: Reviews note that the staff is generally nice and accommodating, contributing to a pleasant stay despite any facility shortcomings. They are on hand to assist guests with their needs and provide information.
Check-in/Check-out: Standard hotel check-in and check-out procedures are in place. Guests should confirm specific timings and any potential for early check-in or late check-out directly with the resort.
It's important for guests to manage expectations regarding the level of modernization for some services, as reviews indicate certain aspects might be outdated.
The defining features of Paradise Stream Resort are its unique in-suite amenities, designed to create a memorable and intimate experience for couples. Beyond the private suite features, the resort also offers a range of recreational options, though some may require updates. Key features include:
Champagne Glass Whirlpool Tubs: These famous heart-shaped or champagne glass-shaped tubs are a signature feature, offering a luxurious and romantic bathing experience. It is worth noting that while pictures might show clear tubs, the actual color in the room may be different (e.g., pink, as noted by a reviewer), which is an important detail for prospective guests.
Private Indoor Pools: Available in higher-tier suites, these personal pools offer an exclusive swimming experience for couples, adding a significant private luxury to the stay.
Personal Saunas: Many suites also include a private sauna, providing another option for relaxation and well-being.
Fireplaces: Fireplaces are commonly found in the suites, adding to the romantic ambiance and coziness, especially during cooler months.
On-site Recreation: The resort typically offers various recreational facilities such as pool tables, mini-golf, and bowling. However, recent reviews suggest that these facilities, including the equipment (e.g., worn pool tables, mini golf clubs needing new handles) and functionality (e.g., bowling game constantly down, missing board game pieces), might be outdated or in need of maintenance. This is a crucial point for guests who prioritize these activities.
Outdoor Activities: While reviews mentioned limited outdoor activity due to rain, the resort typically has outdoor spaces. Depending on the season and specific offerings, these might include walking paths, lake access, or other outdoor sports, though guests should verify operational status, especially during off-season.
The emphasis remains on the private in-room features, which are generally well-received despite some cosmetic issues noted by guests.
For local users searching on "Hotels Near Me" specifically for a romantic retreat in the Pocono Mountains, Paradise Stream Resort caters to this niche. While acknowledging some of the recent feedback regarding facility updates and value, the resort still holds appeal for those prioritizing its iconic, private in-suite amenities. It is an ideal choice for:
Romantic Occasions: Perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, or any special occasion where couples desire a unique and intimate setting with luxurious private features like heart-shaped tubs, private pools, and saunas.
Secluded Escapes: The resort’s design and location offer a sense of privacy, allowing couples to focus on each other without external distractions.
Potential guests should be aware that while the core romantic amenities (tubs, pools, saunas) are highly praised, some general resort activities and common areas might be outdated or require maintenance. It is advisable to "verify activities are going prior to booking," especially if specific recreational options are a key part of the planned stay. Guests should also consider that value perception might vary; while some reviewers felt the price was high for the state of some facilities, the uniqueness of the private in-room features can still be a significant draw for others. The resort's nightclub and bar are likely more vibrant during peak romantic periods or weekends, suggesting a better experience during these times. Paradise Stream Resort continues to offer a distinct, adults-only romantic experience in the Poconos, making it a viable option for those searching for "Hotels Near Me" with a focus on private, in-suite indulgences and a dedicated romantic atmosphere. Direct contact with the resort via phone is recommended to confirm current operating status of amenities and to ensure the chosen room meets specific expectations, especially regarding features like the tub color or general maintenance.

May 10, 2025 · Robert TroutWe enjoyed our stay, this would be higher rating if more was open but I guess it is considered the off season. Many outside items were not open or you werent aloud to use and nothing mentioned that on website while booking unfortunatly. Room was in need of basic maintenance, timers for items stuck, sauna door latch broken, chips in paint on champagne glass tub. Tub was clear on pics but in room painted pink, took away a bit from expirience. Definetly worth going but wont spring for higher end room next time and will verify activities are going prior to booking.
Apr 24, 2025 · LeVere SmithWe stayed in the most expensive room with the iconic champagne tower hot tub and a heart shaped private pool. Those features were nice although the pool is full of cracks and chipped paint. Definitely needs to be repaired. But it holds water and is fun to swim around in--just know you're not getting any laps. The heart shaped pool is approximately 3 1/2 to 4 feet deep. Deeper than we expected anyway. And it's about 10 feet wide at widest part of heart and 8 feet long from bottom center of heart to upper middle area. We had to sign and initial a 3 page waiver. Still not sure what all was on it. I had no desire to read the whole thing while checking in. If we stay there again, we would check out a smaller room with the living room closer to the bedroom. And the hot tub closer too. It was definitely a unique experience having the pool to dip in whenever I wanted and same with the hot tub. But we stayed on the cheapest rate night and still paid $400 after fees and taxes. I don't feel I got $400 worth. It was nice to force me and my husband to spend some quality time away from our normal daily routine and focus on our relationship. We both had a good time.
Jan 14, 2025 · K RWe went to this resort for a short stay during March. This is an excellent resort for a romantic trip while staying within a budget. The resort has a few but limited games, you can ride a bide around and rent the gold card to grove around the resort. We loved the huge room space and all the amenities such as the pool, jacuzzi and the sauna. The breakfast on site has limited options but we highly recommended trying it. The overall experience was excellent but the resort do need an upgrade to have a more modern look.
Mar 30, 2025 · Deo SinghWent to get away drove 3 hours got a room! As we were in the pool we could see underneath the bed and there was someone else's dirty nasty socks on the floor so the room was not very clean to say the least. Called the front desk they did end up upgrading the room and have us a 1pm check out only to be woke up at 10:38am by house keeping to clean the room when we still had 3 hrs left walked right in a room cause we didn't answer on the first knock!! We have been here a few times and this was the worst experience!! Definitely can use upgrades!!!
