I've stayed here many times over the past 20 years. My wife and used to stay here while visiting Asheville. It is always clean and comfortable and is convenient to Asheville and right off of I-40. There is a lady who has worked here for almost 17 years now who is always pleasant and helpful. This time she helped me with a hearing problem I was having and I appreciate that. Will stay again.

Apr 21, 2025 · Tim HarmonThere’s not enough kind words I can express about this place. They treated me with a kindness and professionalism rarely seen from businesses today. The room was spotless! The rates were more than reasonable and the breakfast was stellar. Next time I find myself in Black Mtn, I’ll definitely be going back here.
Mar 17, 2025 · Joshua GalvinThe hotel is nestled in a great location for sure, but the room we stayed in was less than pristine. There were webs in every corner, dust on headboard, and shelves, mirrors were dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a while. The refrigerator door would not close unless you took the small door off the ice box.The toilet seat was sticky, and mold on the shower walls. There were roaches. There was even a rip in the shower curtain. The bathroom door knob was loose and the door itself was coming apart. I own a cleaning business, and the policies that Choice Hotels are supposed to have in place at every hotel, were NOT evident at this location.
Mar 16, 2025 · Tanya ArmstrongBarbara from the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful. The housekeeping would only come once a week. If we ask for extra towels and toilet paper they would be very tacky with it and not give out more than 1. We're a family of 8. One night my daughter went out to the front desk to get sheets for the rooms since they were really dirty and we only received two cover sheets and we needed more. After that later that night I went to ask for more since we couldn't sleep on the beds since there was nothing on them and she was extremely rude about it. When we first came here the rooms we found were in horrible condition with poop on the wall of the bathroom and unknown socks and other objects under the bed the sheets were also dirty with yellow stains. Would not recommend it for a long stay,
Feb 17, 2025 · viaja con nosotrosI travel across the country so my hotel experience is plentiful and diverse. I travel with a four pound dog and my partner. When booking this hotel on the choice app, it gave no indication that any room was specifically for pets so I called them. They had to cancel my reservation and change rooms. Then the facility accidentally deleted my reservation and had to add my reservation back. When they did, the price went up $15. When I arrived, we were put in a “pet friendly” room with a double bed (requested a King) that was located at the back corner of the building stating “mountain view”. The “mountain view” was trees and a ditch. Also, the parking for the room was three spots for FOURTEEN rooms. So, we had to park far away and make multiple trips with our baggage. Basically, if you have pets, you get a “back alley” room. When we got in the room, the refrigerator was hardly working, the door wouldn’t latch correctly, and the lamp was barely on the wall. We had to use the laundry services and there was only one washer and dryer for the whole place and it took forever to dry our clothes. I get that this is a discounted chain. But I am a choice gold member and this was the worst location I have used. The one saving grace is the wonderful and kind staff I encountered.
