When we entered the room it smelled aggressively like Febreze. We went to the front desk and kindly asked for a fan or something to air out the room. We were responded with hostility. The tub was dented dramatically, the heat light was broke, the AC unit did not work either and the dot would not close unless the handle was turned from the outside after scanning the card. Bed was comfy and the location was close to the highway for great driving. When we attempted to use a substantial amount of ice for an ice bath, we were aggressively cut off from using the ice. TLDR: Room not great most things didn’t work —Service was abysmal — location is good

Quality Inn Selinsgrove fits this category by offering a straightforward, accessible, and often budget-friendly lodging choice. For those searching for a place to stay in or around Selinsgrove, whether for a quick overnight stop, a visit to local universities, or a base for exploring regional attractions, this hotel aims to provide the necessary services and comforts. The emphasis on convenience and value positions it as a go-to option for various types of travelers seeking a no-frills, functional place to rest.
Quality Inn Selinsgrove's location at 613 N Susquehanna Trail places it conveniently near major routes like U.S. Routes 11 and 15, making it easily accessible for travelers driving through the region. Its proximity to the highway is a double-edged sword, as highlighted by a guest review: "Location is convenient but too close to the exit ramp of the highway as we heard truck traffic engine breaking all night." This suggests that while connectivity is a strong point, light sleepers might consider requesting a room further from the highway.
Despite the potential for road noise, the hotel's location offers easy access to a variety of local points of interest. It is notably close to Susquehanna University, making it a viable choice for prospective students, visiting families, or attendees of university events. Other nearby attractions include the Selinsgrove Speedway, Susquehanna Valley Mall, and within a reasonable driving distance, popular family destinations like Knoebels Amusement Resort (approximately 23 miles away). The hotel is also situated near various dining options, with restaurants like Denny's and Applebee's within a short drive, providing convenient choices for meals. The general environment is commercial, given its location off a main thoroughfare, typical of a hotel designed for traveler convenience.
Quality Inn Selinsgrove offers a range of services and features that aim to provide a comfortable and convenient stay. A key amenity is the provision of a complimentary hot breakfast, which is often praised in guest reviews for its variety and quality, including options like make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, pastries, and a hot meat option (sausage, ham, or bacon). This significantly adds to the value proposition for guests.
The hotel provides free high-speed WiFi access throughout the property and in all rooms, catering to both leisure and business travelers who need to stay connected. For recreation, there is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, available typically from May to August, offering a refreshing option during warmer months. A fitness center is also available for guests who wish to maintain their exercise routines.
Quality Inn Selinsgrove is a pet-friendly hotel, accommodating guests traveling with their furry companions, although a non-refundable pet fee typically applies (around $25 per night, with limits on pet weight and number of pets). This is a significant advantage for pet owners searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category.
Room amenities generally include a flat-screen TV with premium channels, a hair dryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Many rooms are also equipped with microwaves and refrigerators, adding convenience for longer stays or for guests with specific dietary needs. Non-smoking and handicap-accessible rooms are available. The hotel also offers business services such as access to copy and fax machines, and meeting space. Other conveniences include a 24-hour front desk, guest laundry facilities, luggage storage, and vending machines. Free self-parking is available on-site, including space for RVs/buses/trucks.
Quality Inn Selinsgrove's promotional efforts are primarily centered around its value-added services such as the complimentary breakfast, free WiFi, and its pet-friendly policy. While specific, short-term promotional offers may vary and are best confirmed directly with the hotel or via booking platforms, these consistent amenities form the core of its appeal within the "Hotels Near Of Me" market. Group rates and discounts for AAA and AARP members are often available, providing further value for eligible travelers.
Guest reviews offer a mixed but informative perspective on the Quality Inn Selinsgrove experience. Many positive reviews highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the good quality of the complimentary breakfast, and the convenient location. For example, one guest noted, "The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and very clean. Bathroom was clean and lots of towels. Very nice facility." Another said, "Staff, continental breakfast, room...all exceptional." The "budget-friendly" aspect is also frequently mentioned positively by guests looking for value.
However, it is important to acknowledge that some guest experiences reflect areas needing improvement. One detailed review stated: "When we entered the room it smelled aggressively like Febreze. TLDR: Room not great most things didn’t work —Service was abysmal — location is good." This particular review points to potential inconsistencies in room maintenance and customer service, as well as specific issues with amenities like AC and ice availability. Other reviews have occasionally mentioned a "musty smell" in some rooms or outdated decor.
It appears that while the hotel consistently offers its core amenities and benefits from its strategic location, individual room conditions and staff interactions can vary. Travelers looking to book via "Hotels Near Of Me" should consider these varied experiences. The hotel seems to be undergoing updates, with some information indicating a last renovation in 2020. Overall, Quality Inn Selinsgrove serves as a functional and generally satisfactory option for those seeking a straightforward stay with valuable free amenities, particularly for budget-conscious and pet-owning travelers, provided they manage expectations regarding some aspects of room condition and service consistency.

Mar 14, 2025 · Toby HerzogWe stopped here on both legs of our trip and found it a great budget friendly, pet friendly choice. The staff was very kind and helpful, getting us set up with a pack and play for our infant son. Location is convenient but too close to the exit ramp of the highway as we heard truck traffic engine breaking all night.
Jan 09, 2025 · Matthew SmootThe Good: Room was clean, minus the obvious few stains on bed covers (both and showed up in pics) The Bad: Half’s the outlets in the room not working, including the bathroom where, for some reason, the coffee pot was stored..ewwww (I guess because if you wanted to use it you would need to either, move furniture to get to one of the few working outlets, or need to put it on floor like we did .. safety) THE VERY BAD: Approximately 9:30 pm we had strangers attempt to come in our room. Literally opened our door with a key and began to come in. Though we get that mistakes happen, this could have been a very disastrous situation for all of us for obvious reasons, add to that we all had dogs (us 1 who was pretty upset and angry) and them two. As I read the reviews I see the typical work went into responses, copying and pasting the same one to each customer concern, which frankly is the icing to us probably never returning to another Quality Inn. We travel yearly to and from and stay overnight each direction. Many options oit there. At least take the time and work to be a bit more personal as a Manager. For these very bad reasons, I will be posting to FB and writing to corporate. As well, we did report to the front desk about the strangers and the response @well that should t have happened” 🤔 For security reasons it’s strongly suggested it doesn’t happen again.

May 06, 2025 · David GibbonsThis hotel was a wonderful surprise! It was further distance than I usually drive but it was definitely worth it. Not only was everything top notch but the staff was most helpful even though they were busy and short-handed, the room was comfortable and clean, the hot breakfast was above our expectations. Besides a regular waffle maker, they even had a mini waffle maker! The attendant was so nice! She even helped my son make his waffle. I enjoyed the pool which I had all to myself. I would definitely stay here again!!
