THIS IS THE ABSOLUTELY WORST RUN HOTEL ON LONG ISLAND!!! The staff is absolutely horrible. They mock guests when they call on the phone. I saw it happen 3 times in the 4 days I was there. I literally saw a guest call about a refund and the two black girls literally looked at each other and pretended to look on the computer and the giggled and laughed about it. They are racist. They tried to charge my grandads card 1100 at 4 am. That morning they told us it was a glitch. The very next morning. They tried it again. I talked to another guest and they got charged 700 early in the am and the hotel refused to give them printouts. I saw security try to force themselves into a room. There’s a girl drinking boxed wine all day in the back breakfast room. The whole places smells like I grows pounds of weed. There’s literally a website dedicated to getting the money back this hotel steals. I filed a report with the BBB I also told my cousin who works for the governor and she’s gonna try and get this place investigated. Do not go here. The staff is just horrible. Save your money. Hampton inn is down the road and light years ahead of this place. The staff is amazing. And it doesn’t have any structural damage. The air conditioner doesn’t work in half the hotel. They don’t plan on fixing it. Just stay away. This place will be shut down I recorded so much the few days I was there so did another guest.
Within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category, the Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island, located at 110 Vanderbilt Motor Pkwy, Hauppauge, NY 11788, USA, presents itself as a significant option for travelers. As a Radisson property, it is part of a global chain known for full-service hotels, often catering to both business and leisure segments with a range of amenities and meeting capabilities. This hotel is designed to offer a comprehensive stay experience, aiming to provide comfort and convenience in a strategic Long Island location.
The Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island is situated in a highly accessible area of Hauppauge, directly off the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway. This location offers quick access to the Long Island Expressway (I-495), positioning it favorably for guests traveling throughout Long Island. It is particularly convenient for those conducting business at the nearby Long Island Innovation Park at Hauppauge, as well as being a short drive (approximately 17.7 km or 11 miles) from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP). Its central position also provides reasonable proximity to various Long Island attractions, including Tanger Outlets Deer Park (about 8.5 km or 5.3 miles away), Splish Splash Water Park, Jones Beach, and the Long Island wineries. For those looking to explore New York City, the Brentwood Train Station (LIRR) is less than 10 minutes away. The hotel's physical environment, as indicated by various sources, includes a grand ballroom and 18,500 square feet of meeting space across 16 meeting rooms, suggesting it's equipped to handle large events and conferences. However, guest feedback on the general condition and upkeep of the property is mixed. While some descriptions note a "stunning lobby ambiance" with a waterfall feature, other recent reviews mention "dated, decaying decor," "no lights" in some areas, and visible issues like "leaks dripping from the ceiling with buckets." Some common areas and rooms are described as needing renovation, with mentions of peeling wallpaper and issues with HVAC systems. It is important for potential guests to consider these varied reports when assessing the overall environment.
The Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island aims to provide a wide array of services to its guests. It features an on-site American cuisine restaurant, Fountain Grille, which serves breakfast daily from 7:00 AM, and has been described as offering a "delicious breakfast buffet" on weekends, including omelets, bacon, and sausage. There is also a Café Pronto for quick bites and a Spiritz Lounge for evening cocktails. Room service is available, though some reports indicate limited hours. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the property, and both wired and wireless internet are available in rooms. For business needs, a 24-hour business center with computer stations and a printer is provided, along with extensive meeting and banquet facilities. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, and luggage storage. It lists dry cleaning/laundry services, a gift shop, and an ATM on site. While the intention is to provide comprehensive service, some recent customer reviews strongly criticize the staff service, describing it as "horrible" and alleging issues with responsiveness, handling of refunds, and even instances of staff "mocking guests." These are serious allegations that prospective guests should be aware of. Conversely, some positive reviews mention "friendly workers" and "very courteous" front desk employees, suggesting variability in individual guest experiences. The hotel states it offers a free shuttle service within a 16-km (10-mile) radius of the property, though some recent reports indicate this service may be temporarily suspended.
The Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island offers 209 guest rooms, including 9 suites, across six floors. Room types include King and Double beds, with some accessible rooms and suites featuring sitting areas. Standard in-room amenities typically include air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with premium channels, coffee/tea makers, mini-fridges, iron/ironing boards, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Blackout drapes/curtains are also provided for guest comfort. The hotel also lists an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, and a spa tub as recreational features. The indoor pool is generally open, though some recent reviews indicate the hot tub might be closed or out of order. The fitness center is described as 24-hour, but recent feedback suggests "broken equipment" and a lack of proper maintenance. The property states it was last renovated in 2008, and numerous recent guest reviews frequently mention the "dated" nature of the decor and furnishings, with a need for significant upgrades. Issues with non-functional HVAC systems in rooms, poor lighting in common areas, and concerns about overall property safety and security, including unsecured adjoining room doors and unmonitored external access points, have been raised by recent guests. While the hotel website states "pets not allowed," with only service animals permitted free of charge, it's worth noting this policy for pet owners. The presence of a restaurant (Fountain Grille), a coffee shop (Café Pronto), and a lounge (Spiritz Lounge) offers on-site dining and beverage options for convenience.
As part of the Radisson Hotels brand, the Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island participates in the Radisson Rewards loyalty program. Members can earn and redeem points for stays and often access exclusive benefits such as member-only rates (up to 15% discount), discounts on food and beverages, priority lines for check-in/check-out, promotions, free nights, and potentially free room upgrades (upon availability). The hotel also frequently offers special deals and packages that can be found on the official Radisson website or through various online travel agencies. While the official site promotes various offers, it's important for guests to be aware of the recent negative reviews and assess the current condition of the hotel when considering value. The presence of an indoor pool and fitness center are generally attractive features, although their operational status and upkeep should be verified based on recent guest experiences. The hotel's ability to host meetings and events, with its ample meeting space, might be a draw for corporate or group bookings. However, given the strong negative sentiment in some recent reviews regarding service, safety, and property condition, potential guests should carefully weigh the advertised features and promotions against the consistent critical feedback before booking their stay. It is always recommended to check the most current reviews and, if possible, contact the hotel directly with specific questions about amenities and recent operational status.

May 13, 2025 · Brian RosaSeriously, listen to the reviews, this property has serious issues. I'm a solo business traveler and at 4AM, someone tried to come into my room through an adjoining room door. Come to find out, this property does NOT secure the bolt between adjoining rooms. It's a keyed bolt so you can't secure it yourself. I was awoken from sleep with someone opening my door with nothing but the tiny latch to hold it. I was assured property management would reach out and I've heard nothing. This entire hotel is terrible. Dated, decaying decor, no lights, no pool, no maintenance, HVAC does not work in most rooms (2/3 of the rooms I was in did not work), the front desk staff is very nice but when I tried to order breakfast I was shown a menu with 30 items and told they only have 2 options, eggs and bacon. Breakfast area is also dark, no lights. Tons of trash that sits at the elevators. The entire property is a mess and it's simply not safe. Embarrassing for the Radisson brand.
Apr 23, 2025 · Kerri Gravelafter 4 days in a very nice room with only lukewarm water, a toilet that didn't work properly, and a broken heat lamp, I finally had time to switch rooms, the room that I switched to had a broken heater, in January. I didn't realize this until I got back around 11 p.m. and finally gave up trying to bear it and went to the front desk to change rooms. many of the other rooms had the same problem, blowing FREEZING air out of the vent, as my 1 a.m.-guided tour of many of the rooms in search of one with working heat; evidenced. and the room temperature of the room that I ended up in, (initially slightly warmer because the person before me had the heater turned up to 90) was ultimately defeated by how cold it was outside. I used the (thankfully) hot shower to heat the room the next morning, which worked better than the HVAC. I will never stay here again, after ending up with hypothermia the morning I checked-out, and barely making it home, (~2,000 miles away) without going to urgent care.... BUT the front-desk staff were each very understanding, kind, and helpful. THEY got this hotel a 3-star review from me, otherwise I would have given it 1 star. Rich, Steven, Alisa, and Jared all deserve raises for their service and effort, as I am sure that I am not the only guest who encountered this issue. to Raddison management/property owner: FIX your hotel, it's embarrassing for the staff, and your brand. and it is truly a shame that such a nice property, in such a centrally-convenient location right off the LIE, is plagued by such a dangerous issue. people NEED heat in the winter. duh. how can you even be allowed to be in business if you can't provide basic heat in the rooms, in winter? to anyone considering this hotel; my advice is do NOT stay here for more than a single night in the winter unless you run hot and like stuck-on literal air-conditioning, in the winter, in NY.
Feb 23, 2025 · Da DaoI would like to give the Radisson hotel a 5 star review just off the staff/employees who work here. From the front desk ladies to the cleaning crew ladies, everyone has been very professional and attentive to mine and my families needs during our stay. I would have to say everyone who works at this hotel is very friendly and if you ask them a question or ask them anything they will make sure they have an answer for your question and get what you need and more. This hotel makes you feel at home while you're here for your stay. But two people who have stood out to me and my family here is Steven Vasquez the director of housekeeping and Glendy a women who cleans my room throughout my stay at the Radisson Hotel. The Radisson Hotel knew what they were doing when they hired these two. I will literally come back for future stays and spread the word of the wonderful hotel stay experience my family and I had just off them. They are both very genuine and friendly people whom are so caring and always have a smile on their face. They honestly both show how much they love their job, how dedicated they are both are to helping people and they both make sure everyone is taken care of no matter how long it takes. I truly hope that the Radisson takes care of both of these two employees because they are literally a god sent they both deserve a raise.
Mar 14, 2025 · Jasmin FigueroaDated lobby that smelled like old hay. Broken fountain in lobby. Closed pool. Closed snack bar. Curtain hanging off hooks in room. Weird square pillows that felt crunchy. Worst of all, in the morning, my shower didn’t work because the knob to activate the shower was crusted shut. When I complained at checkout, they said I should have called maintenance and said they’d call me to sort it out. Surprise: no one called. A budget hotel would have delivered a significantly better experience.
