If I would have known how this place was I would not have stayed. If I could give negative stars I would have. Ramada used to be a well known name of a wonderful hotel. This place should shut down. I went in because I was traveling for work, went into the building and they stated it's a 100.00 deposit. Okay, that is new, also being a rewards member I didn't get any points or welcome gift, still no big deal. But the lobby glass looked like everyone who smokes sat in there and placed a film all over the glass. The glass stair care railing would be beautiful but it is dingy and dull. It is dark and gloomy in the lobby. The pictures on their website is gorgeous but not reality. Their website states there is a pool, there is not or it was broke. The elevator appeared to be expired on the permit. The room was terrible, the bedskirt was stained or hadn't been washed, the room smelled funny, the bed was uncomfortable. The couch was stained. The window in the room was dirty and a film on it. Sprinkler system had holes around the base and one was filled with toilet paper. The shower was cracked and the bathroom needed paint. I went down for breakfast and there was no hot breakfast, just bread and I think a few packaged muffins. No juices. The coffee was turned off after 9am, so no free coffee during the day like other hotels. I think I met the owners but they acted like it was normal not to have complimentary coffee. I found out this is the place where the homeless are allowed to stay when placing them for shelter. Please don't go here, I complained to Wyndham and they are representing them not in a good light.
For residents of Iowa and travelers coming to the Bettendorf and Quad Cities area, finding a hotel that aligns with both expectations and budget is crucial. The Ramada by Wyndham Bettendorf, part of a well-known hotel brand, is an option that has received a range of feedback from guests. As a hotel that aims to provide affordable and accessible lodging, it's important to have a clear and factual understanding of what to expect. This overview aims to provide an honest look at the hotel's offerings, based on public data and recent customer reviews, to help you make an informed decision for your travel needs in the region. Understanding the reality of a hotel's services, especially when reviews are mixed, is the first step toward a successful trip.
The hotel's location at 3020 Utica Ridge Rd, Bettendorf, IA 52722, USA, is a key element for many travelers. Situated conveniently off I-74, the Ramada by Wyndham Bettendorf offers easy access to a variety of local points of interest. It's located near popular destinations such as the Duck Creek Golf Course, the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center, and the Family Museum. While the hotel is well-placed for local exploration, some guests have noted that its surroundings and the hotel itself might feel a bit worn. The convenient location, however, makes it easy to get to neighboring cities like Davenport and Moline. For those traveling by car, the easy highway access simplifies travel plans, which can be a significant benefit for both business and leisure trips. The proximity to various local attractions and businesses means you won't have to travel far to find dining, entertainment, or work-related destinations.
Based on public information and guest feedback, the services and amenities at the Ramada by Wyndham Bettendorf are varied. The hotel's website and some booking sites mention a complimentary continental breakfast. However, some guests have reported a limited selection, consisting of items like bread and packaged muffins, and have noted that the coffee service was turned off early in the morning. This is an important detail for travelers who rely on a substantial morning meal. The hotel is also listed as having an indoor pool, though multiple guest reviews indicate that the pool has been closed for extended periods. One guest mentioned that the pool area was hot and had a strong bleach smell when it was open. The hotel does offer free Wi-Fi, a feature that is essential for most modern travelers. Another detail that has been noted by guests is the request for a $100 deposit upon check-in, which some found to be an unexpected and unusual policy. While a deposit policy for incidental charges is not unheard of in the industry, the lack of clear communication about it can be a point of friction for guests.

For those considering a stay, it's important to have the correct contact information for direct inquiries. The Ramada by Wyndham Bettendorf is located at 3020 Utica Ridge Rd, Bettendorf, IA 52722, USA. You can reach the hotel by phone at (563) 355-7575. Given the conflicting information and varied guest experiences, it is highly recommended to call the hotel directly to confirm the status of specific amenities, such as the pool and breakfast service, and to clarify any policies, including the deposit. This proactive step can help manage expectations and avoid any surprises upon arrival. The team at the hotel should be able to provide you with the most current information regarding their facilities and policies.
In conclusion, the Ramada by Wyndham Bettendorf is a hotel that presents a mixed picture. For locals in Iowa, it might be a suitable option for a very budget-conscious stay, particularly if you are in a situation where other options are not available. However, based on the numerous customer reviews detailing issues with cleanliness, broken amenities, and a sub-par breakfast, it is a hotel that requires careful consideration. The location is undeniably convenient for accessing the Quad Cities, but the overall experience, as described by past guests, may not live up to the expectations one might have of the Ramada brand. The discrepancy between the online photos and the reality, as noted by a guest, is a significant point of concern. For someone needing a simple and inexpensive room for a night with no expectations of amenities like a pool or a hot breakfast, this hotel might suffice. However, for a relaxing family vacation or a professional business trip, the described issues with room quality and hotel upkeep may make it a less-than-ideal choice. This is a hotel where a local user should be fully aware of the potential drawbacks before making a reservation.

May 27, 2025 · Leecille LinnellBurnt my hand on the 20 year old cheap coffee maker, tried to get some apple juice from a machine and it was warm apple syrup topped with warm water, breakfast ended at 9, the pool was closed for no definable reason, the rooms were pretty bare bones, the TV guide was extremely wrong, the TVs themselves were like 100 years old, and the place smelled of dust. For the price, its eh. For a place, its bad.
Jul 30, 2025 · Clover JonesThe rooms are decent. They have outdated but functional appliances (bring your own coffee). WiFi is not worth much if you're in the outer ends of the hall ways (signal is weak) and the location is not great for phone signal to use hotspot (AT&T and Verizon). Also, they may have been expecting more children staying here than adults. Breakfast is cereal, waffles, and what looked like donut holes. One morning, the breakfast area wasn't even open.
Apr 26, 2025 · jorge liebesI recently stayed at the Ramada in Bettendorf, Iowa, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I had two rooms reserved, and despite the hotel not being sold out, both rooms were in unacceptable condition upon arrival. One room was missing a TV remote and had scalding hot water that made it unusable. The second room didn’t even have a shower curtain, which made taking a shower extremely inconvenient and messy. On top of that, the rooms were filthy, clearly not cleaned properly between guests. To make matters worse, garbage and used towels were left in the hallway and remained there for the entire duration of our stay—a clear sign of poor housekeeping and management oversight. I brought these issues to the attention of the front desk staff, but the woman I spoke with seemed uninterested and unconcerned, offering no solutions or even an apology. I expected more from a branded hotel like Ramada. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.
May 19, 2025 · Shawn HolmesThe property was not clean and felt unsafe. Our room door didn’t close all the way without a lot of force, plumbing was terrible, mattresses were disgusting. The carpet was coming up in many places in the room. The pool apparently has been shut down since Covid, but they don’t say that online. The pictures online must have been taken 10 years ago because they are deceiving as the property looks nothing like it. We opted to leave and go elsewhere. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me to stay there.
