Rooms were absolutely disgusting. There was hair everywhere, couldn’t use the shower because it was so gross. Blood on the comforter. We didn’t get any sleep. Whole place smelled like mold. There was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom and cigarette ashes all over. Place could be a lot better if there was any kind of cleaning done. Would not recommend.

Therefore, while its location and typical Red Roof Inn amenities might seem appealing on paper, a thorough review of the most current guest feedback is essential to set realistic expectations and determine if this particular establishment aligns with your comfort and safety standards. It’s vital to understand that a "budget" hotel can sometimes mean sacrificing basic upkeep, and that appears to be a prevalent theme in the feedback for this specific location.

For Texans considering a stay at the Red Roof Inn San Antonio - SeaWorld/Northwest, its suitability largely hinges on a very specific set of priorities: extreme budget-consciousness and a need for a highly accessible location to certain parts of the city. For residents across the state, this hotel might serve a niche purpose, but it's crucial to understand the trade-offs.
Firstly, the prime reason a Texan might choose this location is its exceptionally low price point. If your budget is the absolute top priority, and you need a place to sleep that's close to SeaWorld or Six Flags Fiesta Texas for a quick visit, or if you have business at USAA, the geographical convenience is undeniable. For families, the inclusion of free Wi-Fi and the ability to bring pets can also be attractive features, allowing for a more cost-effective trip without leaving a furry family member behind.
However, it is paramount for any local to review the overwhelming and consistent negative feedback regarding the hotel's cleanliness, maintenance, and overall condition. Stories of unpleasant odors, visible grime, unkempt rooms, and even pest issues are prevalent in recent customer reviews. This means that while the price is appealing, the actual comfort and hygiene of the stay may be severely compromised. For a local Texan accustomed to a certain standard of accommodation, this could lead to a deeply unsatisfactory experience.
Therefore, while it technically offers a roof over your head and a location near popular attractions, it's highly recommended that Texans prioritize their comfort and safety. If you must choose this hotel due to budget constraints, it is advisable to call ahead, ask direct questions about recent renovations or specific room conditions, and be prepared for a potentially very basic, and at times, uncomfortable stay. For most, exploring other budget-friendly options in the San Antonio area with more consistently positive reviews would likely lead to a more pleasant experience.

Mar 28, 2025 · Alison LussierI really wish I read the Google reviews before I made my reservation instead of the highly curated reviews on Booking.com. Do not book here unless you have no other option. The pictures do not match the facility or rooms. The property and building have been very poorly maintained. The room made it clear that this hotel is not concerned about the comfort or safety of their guests and only care if they can get you to book a room and collect your payment. The linens on the bed are stained and there is nothing more than a top sheet on top of the bed. No comforter. No blanket. The fridge is disgusting and shows that it’s never been properly cleaned. The bathroom area made it obvious that the standards at this hotel are extremely low. The tub had weird red and black fibers stuck to it in random places like someone had rubbed a fleece around in it. The towels are hardly better than a roll of paper towels would be. I’m fairly certain I could go buy something better at the dollar store that would at least dry me off. These towels are tiny, thin, and non-absorbent. There is no desk chair at the desk. And there is no coffee maker in the room. Overall, easily one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in years. Avoid this hotel until management overhauls the property.
Feb 23, 2025 · Peter HodgeHorrible! Do Not waste your money here ! Television and WiFi do not work. Bathroom was dirty with several long black hairs from previous guests. I stayed here for three days with my son, and the hotel would only give us two towels for the both of us for all three days. The rooms are noisy because you can hear all the cars on the freeway. The hotel only gives you a sheet to sleep with and no blanket. The only positives were that the air conditioner did work and the shower was hot with good water pressure. I strongly suggest that you stay anywhere else but Red Roof Inn. We will never ever stay here again. It was a Horrible experience!!!
Mar 16, 2025 · Twyla OlivaMy family and I came here to stay one night and didn’t think to see the review, but should have. The moment I went in that room it stinks so bad, restroom is not clean ,the bed sheets has hair , also the pillows have stain in it.
Jun 12, 2025 · GuestRooms could be more clean, stuff was broken with in the room. Stunk of cigarettes. But you get what you pay for. Won’t go back. But the AC kept you cold only reason it got 3 stars. Staff was friendly.
