Terrible experience — not worth the price at all. We paid over $100 per night and expected at least basic quality, but this place was a huge disappointment. There’s no pool, no gym, and no breakfast — things you can easily get at a normal hotel for the same price. The room smelled awful, like old dirt and mold. The bed had stains, the towels were dirty, and the carpet was filthy. It was honestly uncomfortable to sleep or even stay in the room. The space was tiny, and the sink was placed so high it was hard to wash your hands properly. The service was the worst part. The staff were rude and unhelpful. We stayed one night and asked for a refund for the remaining nights. They kept stalling, telling us to wait to hear from a manager — and days later, they finally said no refund. They should’ve been honest from the beginning instead of wasting our time. We left and booked a much better hotel for just a little more money — with clean, spacious rooms, breakfast, a gym, and a pool. Do yourself a favor: stay somewhere else. This place is not worth it, and I would never recommend it to anyone.
For individuals searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Framingham, Massachusetts area, the Red Roof PLUS+ Boston - Framingham stands as a budget-conscious lodging option. Located at 650 Cochituate Rd, Framingham, MA 01701, USA, and reachable by phone at (508) 718-2619 or +1 508-718-2619, this hotel aims to provide essential accommodations for travelers. As a Red Roof PLUS+ property, it is designed to offer a slightly upgraded experience compared to a standard Red Roof Inn, with features like enhanced Wi-Fi and more modern room decor, often at a competitive price point.
The environment of Red Roof PLUS+ Boston - Framingham, as a value-oriented hotel, focuses on practicality. The exterior typically reflects a contemporary design common to the Red Roof PLUS+ brand, often with signature red accents. The lobby is generally functional, serving primarily for check-in and basic inquiries. Being located on Cochituate Road (Route 30), it offers convenient access to local businesses, shopping centers, and major roadways, making it accessible for travelers by car. The hotel is noted for its pet-friendly policy, which is a significant aspect of its environment for guests traveling with animals. While some reviews mention that the property is "clean" and "quiet," it's important to consider contrasting opinions. One highly negative review describes a room with an "awful" smell "like old dirt and mold," and mentions "filthy" carpet and "dirty" towels, indicating potential inconsistencies in cleanliness or maintenance that could impact the perceived environment for guests. The property is a smoke-free hotel, though guest reviews suggest that smoke odors in rooms can be an issue. The presence of "Local cops are around safety is good" suggests an active effort by the property to ensure guest safety and security.
Services at Red Roof PLUS+ Boston - Framingham are generally focused on providing core necessities without extensive frills. The hotel typically offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property, which is a standard expectation for most travelers today. One customer review, however, stated, "you want Wi-Fi, cost money," which contradicts the standard Red Roof PLUS+ offering of free Wi-Fi. It's possible this refers to premium Wi-Fi or a past policy, but based on current Red Roof PLUS+ branding, basic Wi-Fi is generally complimentary. The front desk service is available to assist guests, though feedback on staff attitude is mixed, with one reviewer describing staff as "rude and unhelpful," particularly regarding refund requests. Conversely, another guest praised specific staff members, stating, "Dana has the most respect for customers and she's very knowledgeable," indicating that individual staff performance can vary. Unlike many hotels, Red Roof PLUS+ properties generally do not offer a complimentary breakfast, a point explicitly noted by a dissatisfied customer: "There’s no pool, no gym, and no breakfast — things you can easily get at a normal hotel for the same price." This is a key factor for guests to consider. Guest laundry facilities are available, but a review mentions "scalping prices for laundry detergent," suggesting that the cost of these services might be higher than expected. Complimentary self-parking is usually provided. The hotel does allow pets to stay free of charge, which is a significant advantage for pet owners, aligning with Red Roof's well-known pet-friendly policy. The hotel aims for a streamlined check-in and check-out process, typical of economy lodging.
The features of the rooms at Red Roof PLUS+ Boston - Framingham are designed for basic comfort and functionality. Each room typically includes a flat-screen TV, a work desk, and a private bathroom. Red Roof PLUS+ rooms often feature more modern furnishings, wood-like flooring, and upgraded bedding compared to their standard Red Roof Inn counterparts. Specific amenities like mini-refrigerators and microwaves are often available in PLUS+ rooms, but it's advisable to confirm their presence in each room type. However, guest reviews highlight significant concerns regarding room condition and cleanliness. One review critically states, "The room smelled awful, like old dirt and mold. The bed had stains, the towels were dirty, and the carpet was filthy. It was honestly uncomfortable to sleep or even stay in the room. The space was tiny, and the sink was placed so high it was hard to wash your hands properly." This starkly contrasts with another review that praises the "Rooms are great" and emphasizes the hotel as "a good place to rest." These contrasting views suggest a high degree of variability in room quality or individual guest experiences. The hotel does not feature a pool or gym, which are common amenities in many similarly priced hotels, as highlighted by a disappointed guest. The hotel is designed to be smoke-free, but reports of cigarette smoke odors in rooms suggest enforcement challenges. The property also has accessibility features to accommodate guests with disabilities.
In terms of promotional information, Red Roof PLUS+ properties generally compete on value and their pet-friendly policy. They often run promotions that offer discounts for booking in advance, for longer stays, or through their RediRewards loyalty program. RediRewards members can earn points for stays and receive exclusive discounts and offers. Red Roof Inn frequently advertises direct booking benefits, such as the "RediSave" discount. Seasonal promotions and special rates for AAA members, seniors, and military personnel are also common. While the hotel aims for affordability, guests should carefully compare the total value, including amenities, with other options in the area, as the negative review suggests that even at a lower price point, the perceived quality might not meet expectations for some. It is always recommended to check the official Red Roof PLUS+ website or contact the hotel directly for the most current promotional offers and to verify specific room amenities and policies, especially concerning cleanliness and Wi-Fi access.
In conclusion, Red Roof PLUS+ Boston - Framingham positions itself as an affordable and pet-friendly option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Framingham. Its environment is that of a basic, accessible hotel, designed for convenience. Services include free Wi-Fi (though subject to conflicting customer feedback), guest laundry, and a 24-hour front desk. While features like updated rooms and a pet-friendly policy are promoted, the hotel receives highly conflicting reviews, particularly regarding cleanliness, room condition, and staff responsiveness to issues. Prospective guests seeking a no-frills, budget-conscious stay should temper their expectations and consider the varied feedback, while those prioritizing amenities like pools, gyms, or complimentary breakfast might find other options more suitable for their needs.

Apr 30, 2025 · AngelOnce again I would like to commend the staff at Red Roof. More importantly I would like to personally commend one of your staff members by the name of Shirley. Her whimsical and professional attitude are only matched by her own charm. Working with her has been an absolute pleasure. She helped me navigate through the app. She even went above and beyond to set up the account and get the rewards point set up. Truly grateful for all she has done. She’s the first person I look for when I walk into the office. Always greeted by a smile and respect. This goes a long way with customers and others. Sincerely, Nicholas James Zuckerman
May 19, 2025 · Nicholas ZuckermanRented a room for a week stay. Room service was 2x/week...and poorly done at that! Coffee not restocked, no fresh wash clothes...room was dusty and floor had debris behind furniture legs and under it too! I'm talking a luggage rack (folding metal frame with nylon straps) that I could see "through", I wasn't on my hands and knees looking for dirt! Shower had mold and mildew...just running the fan gave the room a musty smell...AC needs to be run to avoid it! And somehow my bill had $385 of taxes and fees added on! $127/night room ended up costing $1271 for the week! WHen I asked for a detailed bill, I was offered a single line item showing 7 nights for $1271 when Expedia said $127/night! RESPONSE: No, I will not stay here again so you will not have the opportunity to do better next time. This crud in my shower is mildew or mold...no "what you thought was"...
