We don’t live far from here, but it is a hotel we have always wanted to stay at because it looks like a castle from the outside. We only live about an hour from it, but decided to give it a try. We should’ve just drove home. See review on the shape of the rooms and the worst thing was There were ants on the bed. Breakfast was not free as it is with every other hotel I stay with. Very disappointed. I wish I had read some of the reviews about the cleanliness and the outdatedness. Like I said, we were very excited because we had always wanted to stay and now wish we hadn’t. I was really hoping for a better response about ants on the bed except for sorry. How about maybe give us another shot. You’re gonna have a half-price room, maybe free dinner on us something. Wow just sorry you feel this way. Sorry that doesn’t cut it.

Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center Introduce

For individuals and groups seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" in the MetroWest region of Massachusetts, the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center offers a distinctive presence. Located at 1657 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA 01701, USA, and contactable via phone at (508) 879-7200 or mobile at +1 508-879-7200, this hotel is easily recognizable by its unique, "castle-like" exterior, a feature that has historically drawn guests to its doors.

The environment of the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center is currently in a state of transformation, as the property is undergoing significant renovations. From the outside, the hotel maintains its iconic "castle-like building" appearance, which is a significant draw for many. However, recent guest experiences indicate that while the "downstairs was amazing and check in went smooth," the moment one steps out of the elevator onto the guest room floors, it becomes evident that the hallways and rooms are in various stages of needing or undergoing an overhaul. The hotel aims to blend its existing charm with modern design elements. While some public spaces, such as the lobby, are described as "beautiful" with updated art work and a stone fireplace, the overall interior environment can be mixed depending on which part of the renovation a guest encounters. The location on Worcester Road (Route 9) offers convenient access to major highways, including the Massachusetts Turnpike, making it accessible for both local and out-of-town visitors. Despite the ongoing work, the intention is to create a bright, contemporary destination that builds on its unique architectural heritage. This dynamic environment is important for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" to consider, as it reflects an ongoing effort to modernize the property.

The services at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center are designed to cater to a wide range of guests, including conference attendees, business travelers, and leisure visitors, even amidst the ongoing renovations. The front desk staff is often highlighted for being "helpful," though some guests have reported dissatisfaction with responses to specific issues, such as cleanliness concerns. The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk, ensuring assistance is available at any time. Valet parking is offered, and self-parking is available for a fee, which includes in/out privileges. While some services like complimentary breakfast, common in other hotel brands, are not standard here (breakfast is offered for an additional charge), the hotel does provide a 24-hour business center and extensive meeting and conference facilities, including 21 event rooms and over 24,000 square feet of total event space, catering heavily to corporate and event needs. A complimentary shuttle service operates within a five-mile radius, which can be useful for reaching local attractions like the Natick Mall. Pet-friendly policies are available upon request, though charges may apply. Daily housekeeping and laundry services are also provided. The hotel aims to offer a comprehensive suite of services, even as it navigates its renovation process, which can sometimes impact the availability or quality of certain amenities.

The features of the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center are extensive, though their condition can vary depending on the stage of the renovation. The hotel boasts 375 guest rooms and suites spread across six floors. While some rooms have been updated with new linens, sleek furniture, and a soft blue color palette, other reviews indicate rooms still needing a "refresh," with issues cited regarding bathrooms, floors, window shades, and televisions. All rooms typically include amenities such as premium bedding, in-room safes, work desks, and high-speed internet access (though wired internet may incur a surcharge). Hypo-allergenic bedding and free cribs/infant beds are available upon request. The hotel features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a health club, and a sauna, offering recreational options for guests. On-site dining is provided by The Postern Grille, which serves lunch and dinner, and replaces the former J. Witherspoon's restaurant. There is also the Link Cafe, proudly brewing Starbucks coffee, which serves breakfast (for a fee) and light snacks. Other amenities include a fireplace in the lobby, a gift shop/newsstand, and the capacity for large events, with a grand ballroom. The hotel is also designed with accessibility in mind, offering a range of features for guests with disabilities. These features underscore its function as a full-service hotel and conference venue, even as it modernizes its offerings.

Promotional information and guest reviews offer a nuanced view of the Sheraton Framingham. The "castle-like building" exterior is a recurring theme that draws guests, and the hotel's appeal for large events, such as weddings, is evident from positive feedback regarding its event coordination and catering services. However, recent reviews also highlight significant challenges related to the ongoing renovations. Guests have expressed "severe disappointment" due to issues such as "ants on the bed," "filth and worn-in look," "outdated" rooms, and noise from construction and other guests due to poor soundproofing. The fact that breakfast is not free, contrary to expectations for many modern hotels, is also a point of contention. The hotel's response to complaints, such as suggesting a different room type for future stays rather than offering immediate compensation for a poor experience, has also been a source of frustration for some. Despite these criticisms, the hotel is actively working to improve, with renovations aiming for completion. Promotional efforts highlight its convenient location near I-90 and its suitability for meetings, dining, and lodging in the MetroWest region. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with an understanding that the property is in a transitional phase, the Sheraton Framingham offers a large, well-located venue with extensive facilities, with the expectation that the guest experience will improve as the renovations progress.

Hotel is going thru a renovation so my rating is based on my stay specifically. Loved the initial walk up with the look of the hotel resembling a castle like building. Downstairs was amazing and check in went smooth. The hotel was going thru a renovation so the moment I got out of the elevator to go to the room I definitely noticed everything from the hallways and rooms needed an overhaul. Everything from the bathroom to the floors, window shades, aswell as the tvs needed a refresh…Wasn’t to happy with this stay but I only stayed one day. Hope to come back after things improve a a bit.

I booked this hotel for a conference I attended despite living only a 45 minute drive from the venue because I knew I would have long days and require a restful sleep. That did not happen. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the filth and worn-in look that this property so proudly boasts. From the paint completely worn off the white panted main entrance and exit door handles to the black feet-grime ground into the standing area inside my bathtub where you stand, the bathroom door which was sized incorrectly and not shutting but banging against the threshold instead, the burn marks on the outdated yellowing wall paper (when is the last time anyone smoked in a hotel room anyway?), the hundred or so layers of whitewash paint everywhere to cover up a lot of sins, the holes and dents in the door and furniture, the black mold in the shower ceiling that was just painted over rather than remediated so you could see it poking out again from behind the white paint and more around the edges of the ceilings around the tub - this place was gross. Also the loading dock operates 24/7 literally I have videos from midnight to 8AM beep beep beep even with headphones in. I could hear people talking at normal volumes from other rooms as if they were standing next to me and the doors all slam shut when you walk out of your room which is fun. There is no sound proofing or insulation and half of the ENTIRE HOTEL is under construction something that was not mentioned until I was checked into my room and headed off the elevator to see a sign on an easel "Pardon our appearance and noise" and a closed Lounge requiring me to pay a higher rate for my stay for breakfast and amenities that should be included. I was not given a room upgrade as I'm entitled to as an elite member and was unable to change rooms either because the property was sold out for the conference I was attending. It wouldn't have mattered as in speaking with other guests their rooms weren't great either. I was woken throughout the night with the trucks back up alarms constantly outside my window and slamming doors all down the hallway anytime someone entered or exited their room. Then the constructions starts at 7AM. Business Center also not working. Needless to say I was exhausted and felt like crap for almost two full days after due to lack of sleep. Would not recommend. Be sure to check out the photos I took and see for yourself!

The staff was very friendly during check-in, but unfortunately, my overall experience with the stay left much to be desired. I had booked a king-size bed but was given a room with two queen beds instead. While this was disappointing, I decided to make do. I stayed for two nights, and on the morning after my first night, I left cash for housekeeping before heading out for the day. When I returned before dinner, I noticed that the “Do Not Disturb” placard had been placed on the door. Upon entering, I found that the room had not been refreshed—but the cash I had left for housekeeping was gone. I called the front desk to report the issue, and they assured me that someone would be sent up right away. By the time I returned from dinner, housekeeping had serviced the room, but they had not replaced the water bottles or refreshed the used glassware, which was frustrating. Additionally, the first night was quite disruptive due to a guest on my floor repeatedly entering and exiting their room, letting the door slam shut each time. While I understand this isn’t entirely within the hotel’s control, it highlighted how easily sound travels in the building. Both nights, I was also disturbed by a persistent tapping noise that woke me up multiple times. Because I wasn’t in the room much during the day, I didn’t identify the source until the morning of checkout—the mini fridge was placed right next to the bed and appeared to be the culprit. While the staff was welcoming, these issues significantly impacted my stay, and I would hesitate to return.

.The room was dated. The bed was soft. The vents in the heating unit in the bathroom was dirty, very overdue for maintenance. The building has been under construction the last 2 yrs when I have made this same trip. Will look elsewhere next time.
