By far the worst hotel I have ever been to, would give this place a 0/10 if i could. Advertised as smoke free but the rooms reeked of cigarettes, caused my throat to close up and I have had a sore throat ever since now 3 days after. The sheets, comforter and even the mattress had gross stains on it, we requested a new set of sheets only for those sheets to also have stains. Location is awful, being right across from some sort of ugly and loud train depot. The entire place felt profoundly unclean and unsafe. We ended up essentially flushing 300 dollars down the drain because they don't allow refunds and we had to leave after only one hour of our 2 night stay. Luckily we were able to find an actually good hotel (holiday inn) for the same price somehow as this hellish location last minute. I cannot understate how much of a gross scam and false advertising this place was. I will never even set foot in any red roof location ever again in my life and I will ensure nobody I know ever does either. 0/10

The property typically offers a 24-hour front desk, free Wi-Fi, and a pet-friendly policy, which are often key considerations for our local travelers. The goal is to provide a straightforward and accessible place to rest, allowing you to focus on your activities in Music City. For those seeking basic comforts and a convenient location near the fairgrounds and major Nashville arteries, this Red Roof PLUS+ aims to fit the bill.

Location and Accessibility

Red Roof PLUS+ Nashville Fairgrounds is conveniently located at 4271 Sidco Dr, Nashville, TN 37204, USA. Not terrible, but definitely not the best. We had a pre booked a smoke free room. However, when we entered said room it reeked of smoke and bed sheets even had stains. We immediately headed to the lobby to try to resolve the issue. The lady at the front was very nice and got us a new room. We weren't very happy at first, but then started warming up to the place. Location is sketchy between the highway and railroad tracks, so keep that in mind for noise levels. Pictures aren't very accurate to the real life room. Bathroom is very very small. Would not return, but did finish our stay.

IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH NASHVILLE. If you are booking at this hotel from out of town: the photos are very deceiving. This is especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. We booked for one night before our other accommodations were ready. I immediately felt unsafe when we pulled up to the hotel. There were men, obviously intoxicated (behavior and paraphernalia to show) on the second story floor. As soon as I got out of the car they got very loud and started to heckle my husband and I. There was a car, right up front, that had OBVIOUSLY been broken into—smashed windows, shoe marks on the hood with the windshield kicked in. A terrible first experience in Nashville. The only, and I mean ONLY good thing, about this experience was that they let me cancel without any fees—which was great because finding a hotel in Nashville on a Saturday night is pricey and near impossible. The photos are deceiving. I should have looked deeper into reviews, so that is on me. BUT I don’t want this to happen to someone else.

I travel with dogs, so I’m used to staying at mediocre hotels. I often stay at Red Roof because they all welcome pets. However, this is the worst I’ve ever stayed at. The room was filthy, the refrigerator didn’t work, the phone didn’t work, and no soap. We demanded another room - the clerk was very reluctant. We finally got another room - still no soap, and hair and brown stains in the shower. We were too tired to argue anymore, so we stayed. But buyer beware to the rest of you with this hotel.

Stay at your own risk, you will be on your own if there is a major safety issue at this property. During my stay between 3:30-4am there were loud guests in the parking lot and side walk along the door which came to a head as two men arguing and one threatening to shoot the other. (I don't hold red roof responsible for crazy people but I do to their response). Of course with these people right outside my room grab the phone to call the front to get help, phone doesn't work at all, so have to go get my cell phone and went in the bathroom since I can't safely leave my room and phones the front desk for help as they have security cameras all over and can get the police there and tell them what the individuals looked like. Instead of help I was given the suggestion that if I felt unsafe I could call 911, already feeling unsafe and not wanting to be mixed up in anything the onus was put on me their other guest to deal with the fall out. I was floored being told to simple just call 911 like these people are not right outside my door, like I'm gonna be able to go to my window and tell the police what these men looked like. How is this your policy over safety issue. As soon as it got quiet I grabbed my stuff and was off the property a little after 4am. Stopped by the office to give my keys and let them know I'm checking out while still very visably shaken, didn't want to wait for my receipt as I get them electronically anyways and even the receipt shows an 11:01am check out as if they didn't want to acknowledge having a guest leave their property a whole 7 hours earlier over their complete lack of concern or action when men with guns are threatening to shoot. You'll most likely be fine staying here, but if something goes sideways that's not anything to do with you, don't expect anyone to care, know you're on your own to deal with it. *To the owner- If safety was upmost importance you would have done something about your violent guest on your property. But glad you admit guest are on their own even if the risk is right outside their room. Absolutely unacceptable, I called to ask for help and was denied any help. Then I wasn't even checked out appropriately and accurately when I left. Which I was left to choose giving up 35% of the time I was entitled to access my room, that I had paid for, or risk my satefy. I have escalated this to corporate.
