We had a terrible experience for an overnight stay. We reserved a two bedroom suite and Check-in was delayed by about an hour because the rooms weren’t ready. There is construction going on, so maintenance was fixing the TVs. They let us check in and get settled as long as we were ok with the maintenance crew being in the room. I asked what time the pool was open until for the kids, and was told that is was closed due to failing inspection. Something they failed to disclose prior to checking in. They have a basketball court so that kept the kids busy. A couple hours in, we noticed the air conditioning didn’t work, and despite opening the windows, the room stayed at an uncomfortable 79 degrees. There were no phones in the rooms so I had to walk down to the lobby. The front desk said that the rooms were just finished and just opened up. If the rooms were not ready for guests to stay in, then maybe they should have waited a day or two. The lady at the desk told us there were no other rooms available, nothing could be done, and no refunds or compensation would be offered. The best they can do was, maybe, points and I would have to talk to the manager who was not available. She did send housekeeping, who also said it was hot in the room but there was nothing she can do ( I knew that before she even came to our room). We were lucky the temperature dropped overnight and opening the windows helped the cool the room down. Also, after getting home, I realize we were charged more than what my receipt says. I tried to call and find out why, but no answer after calling multiple times. Completely unacceptable service — would not recommend.

The environment at Residence Inn Atlantic City Airport Egg Harbor Township is characteristic of the Residence Inn brand, which emphasizes spaciousness and functionality for longer stays. The hotel typically features a modern, welcoming lobby area, often with a fireplace and comfortable seating, designed to feel more like a living room than a traditional hotel reception. The exterior is generally well-maintained, with landscaping that contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. The property includes outdoor spaces such as a patio area, often with grilling facilities, and a sport court, aiming to provide recreational opportunities for guests. However, recent guest feedback indicates that the upkeep and readiness of certain facilities, such as the pool, may not always meet expectations, with one review mentioning a pool closure due to a failed inspection. Similarly, construction or maintenance activities can impact the immediate guest experience, as evidenced by delayed check-ins due to TV fixes.
The primary service philosophy of Residence Inn is to offer amenities that cater to extended stays. Each suite is equipped with a full kitchen, including a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and dishwasher, along with cookware and dinnerware, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. This feature is particularly beneficial for families or individuals on longer assignments. A complimentary hot breakfast is typically provided daily, offering a range of options to start the day. For evening relaxation and social interaction, the hotel often hosts a "The Mix" social event on select evenings, which can include light refreshments and appetizers.

The hotel generally provides free high-speed Wi-Fi access throughout the property, which is essential for both business and leisure travelers. An on-site fitness center is available for guests to maintain their workout routines. The aforementioned outdoor seasonal pool, when operational, offers a refreshing escape, and the sport court (often for basketball) provides an additional recreational outlet. Pet-friendly policies are typically in place, allowing guests to travel with their furry companions, although additional fees usually apply. The hotel also offers laundry facilities, including coin-operated machines, which is a crucial convenience for extended-stay guests. Furthermore, free self-parking is usually available, making it convenient for guests traveling by car.
However, based on recent customer reviews, there appear to be significant challenges in service delivery and room readiness. One guest reported a substantial delay in check-in due to rooms not being ready and ongoing maintenance, such as fixing TVs. A critical issue highlighted was the non-functioning air conditioning in a room, leading to an uncomfortable temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit, with no immediate solution or compensation offered by the front desk. The absence of in-room phones, necessitating a walk to the lobby for any concerns, further exacerbated the inconvenience. Another review pointed to deficiencies in housekeeping, with issues such as unemptied trash, unreplaced tissue boxes, bed pillows left on the floor, and dirty linens, indicating a lack of thoroughness and attention to detail. These incidents suggest that while the hotel aims to provide a comfortable extended-stay experience, there may be inconsistencies in staff responsiveness, communication, and basic room maintenance. Overcharging and difficulty reaching the hotel by phone for post-stay inquiries were also cited as major concerns, indicating potential issues with administrative and customer service follow-up.

While specific ongoing promotions would need to be checked directly with the hotel or on major booking websites, Residence Inn frequently offers special rates for longer stays, corporate discounts, and loyalty program benefits through Marriott Bonvoy. Given the recent negative reviews, potential guests might also inquire about any ongoing efforts to address facility issues or service improvements.
In conclusion, Residence Inn Atlantic City Airport Egg Harbor Township endeavors to provide a home-like environment for extended stays within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. Its suite-style accommodations with full kitchens, complimentary breakfast, and amenities like a fitness center, outdoor pool (when open), and sport court are designed to cater to the needs of travelers seeking more than just a room. However, recent guest experiences indicate significant inconsistencies in service quality, room readiness, and facility maintenance, which prospective guests should consider. While its location offers convenient access to Atlantic City International Airport and local attractions, potential visitors are advised to directly verify the current status of amenities and services, especially given the reported issues with air conditioning, pool availability, and housekeeping.

Apr 28, 2025 · Jan MHorrible stay. Housekeeping only fixed the bed. Left garbage pail on top of kitchen counter, empty tissue box not replaced, bed pillows on the floor, tissues and wrappers on top of side tables not thrown away, someone else name on the TV welcome screen, bed linens did not look crisp, recycling garbage not emptied.
May 17, 2025 · Elda FistaniI'm a lifetime Marriott member so I've been to my fair share of their branded hotels. This one, the room was comfortable but pretty dated and the entire hotel could use some maintenance. The bathroom tub had a large elevated bubble in the middle, the tv service didn't work and when it did it lagged and froze. The swimming pool ceiling had areas that were quite rusted. The breakfast wasn't good, I understand that Residence Inns aren't exactly known for their food but this one was especially bad, the bananas were past their prime, the eggs were gummy, the sausage patties were pale. No oatmeal or peanut butter. Coffee was good. We arrived pretty late for check-in, like 10:30PM and the main entrance was locked. We had to ring the door bell on the right and someone came out to let us in. I've actually never had this happen before. The hotel offers "convenience tipping" but there's a fee for use. The heated swimming pool was the highlight of our stay, it was just a few people who came to use it and didn't reek of chlorine which was nice. This is the only reason for the extra star, otherwise this hotel would have been rated 2⭐.
Jan 01, 2025 · E CI am a Marriott rewards platinum member and of stayed at my share of residence Inn. This establishment is very dated. I stayed about a month ago and they were undergoing renovations. I was informed at the time of my booking on my first day that they were doing reservations and upon checking out was told the renovation should be completed by the time of my next day. I arrived to find the parking lot is still full of multiple storage containers construction cruise in and out of the hotel as well still on the fourth floor have not been renovated. I’m not sure if the gym is part of the renovations, but the equipment is spotty at best. The elliptical bike both weeks I have stayed was unpowered. No towels. And only free weights no machine. The water machine is default colt to use therefore I went to the front desk and asked for a couple of bottles of water. I was informed that I would have to pay for those. Check in. I only received one bottle of water and was not welcomed to get additional bottles free of charge even with my status. Breakfast were very limited and lukewarm appeared to have been setting for sometime even before being placed out. I asked about diet sodas in the pantry on my first night arrival and was told that they were out of stock, but would be restocking which never occurred. At most major chain hotels, you can get additional toiletry items in the event that you forgot one. In this case, I had forgotten my toothbrush at home and asked for one at the front desk. I was informed by the desk that they had plenty of toothpaste, but no toothbrushes and did not know when they would be getting it again. Overall not up to Marriott standards. Sadly :/
Feb 19, 2025 · In the Mood to Review Some FoodMy husband is a platinum member and we have stayed at several Marriott properties. Our experience this past weekend was horrible at this location. Room dated and dirty, bugs along window sils, , carpet filthy, hallways a mess due to construction, bathroom door had big crack in the middle of the door, hole in wall in bathroom. Let’s talk about the smelly old mattress that had a permanent dent down the middle of it and pillows that needed to be thrown out. We didn’t get 1 hour of sleep. Woke up to find black specs of some sort of build up that came out of air vents by ceiling that had fallen during the night all over comforter, clothes and other personal Al belongings . Toilet ran all night . Never again!
