For individuals and families exploring options under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Danbury, Connecticut, the Residence Inn Danbury is one of the properties that may come up in your search. Located at 22 Segar St, Danbury, CT 06810, USA, the hotel can be contacted at (203) 797-1256 or +1 203-797-1256 for reservations and inquiries. This introduction aims to provide a balanced and objective overview of the hotel, drawing directly from recent customer experiences to detail its environment, services, features, and any implied promotional aspects.
The environment at Residence Inn Danbury elicits mixed reactions from guests. On one hand, a positive review highlights that the "room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped," and that "The facilities, including the gym and dining area, were top-notch." This suggests a well-maintained and appealing interior environment, with common areas that meet high standards of quality and cleanliness. Such positive feedback indicates that guests can expect a comfortable and well-appointed space for their stay. However, a contrasting review raises significant concerns regarding the hotel's physical layout and accessibility. The property is described as being "stuck on the side of the road, on the side of a hill," with the key issue being that "Everything here requires steps." This implies a challenging environment for guests with mobility issues or those traveling with heavy luggage, as there appears to be "No drop-off location." Furthermore, concerns about "accessible parking" being scarce or unavailable on flat ground are highlighted, with the warning that if such spots are taken, guests are "screwed." The architecture is further complicated by "The end hallway rooms have a staircase," suggesting multi-level internal structures within sections of the hotel that may not be immediately apparent. This topographical and architectural layout significantly impacts the hotel's accessibility, a crucial environmental factor for many travelers. Another concerning environmental observation was the presence of "someone who had smoked weed in the room" in one of the rooms inspected, suggesting potential issues with property management and adherence to non-smoking policies.
The service aspect of Residence Inn Danbury is another area where guest experiences diverge significantly. A glowing review praises the "service was a perfect 10 out of 10," noting that "Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out." This guest found the "staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure all my needs were met." Such feedback points to a highly positive and customer-centric service culture for some guests. This level of attentiveness and friendliness is a significant draw for anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" that prioritize guest satisfaction. Conversely, another reviewer had a vastly different experience with the front desk staff, stating, "Don't expect the front desk staff to be helpful." This direct contradiction in feedback suggests inconsistency in service quality, possibly depending on the specific staff members encountered or the nature of the guest's needs. The negative experience also alludes to a lack of helpfulness when facing accessibility challenges, which compounds the difficulties presented by the hotel's physical environment. The disparity in service reports indicates that while excellent service is achievable, it may not be consistently delivered to all guests, which is a critical point for objective assessment.
In terms of features, the Residence Inn Danbury, as an extended-stay brand, typically offers rooms equipped with kitchens or kitchenettes, which is a significant feature for longer stays, though this is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. The positive review mentions a "well-equipped" room, which likely refers to these extended-stay amenities. The hotel also boasts "top-notch" facilities, including a "gym and dining area." This indicates that guests have access to fitness options and a dedicated space for meals, which is a common and valued feature for Residence Inn properties, often including complimentary breakfast (though not explicitly mentioned here). However, a significant feature that is negatively highlighted is the perceived lack of accessibility, as "everything here requires steps." This is a critical feature consideration for guests with disabilities, elderly travelers, or those with young children and strollers. The hotel's "pet friendly" status is also brought into question by a reviewer, suggesting that it might not be as accommodating as expected for pet owners. The presence of stairs leading to end hallway rooms further emphasizes the architectural features that might pose challenges. The strong recommendation to "Do not come here if you want anything other than an expensive room" implies that the features and overall value proposition did not meet the expectations of at least one guest, particularly in light of the accessibility issues and perceived unhelpfulness of staff.
Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews offer mixed signals. The glowing review acts as a strong, organic promotion, touting "a great stay" and "perfect 10 out of 10 service." This positive word-of-mouth is invaluable and suggests that for some guests, the hotel truly delivers on its promise. However, the highly critical review, with its strong warnings ("Do not come here," "Seriously, find a different place!"), serves as a potent negative promotion that could deter potential guests. The statement that "Residence Inns should be noted as not accessible or pet friendly" directly challenges perceived brand promises or common expectations. There is no explicit marketing or promotional content provided, but the disparate customer experiences create a complex picture for anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me." For prospective guests, it would be prudent to contact the Residence Inn Danbury directly at (203) 797-1256 or +1 203-797-1256 to clarify specific concerns regarding accessibility, pet policies, and to inquire about current rates and available amenities, especially if these are critical factors for their stay. An objective assessment suggests that while some guests have an exemplary experience, others face significant challenges related to the hotel's physical layout and staff responsiveness, making it essential for individuals to verify if the hotel meets their specific needs and expectations before booking.

Feb 20, 2025 · Ainhoa CalvoStuck on the side of the road, on the side of a hill. Everything here requires steps . No drop-off location. The end hallway rooms have a staircase. If you need an accessible parking, good luck finding a parking spot that isn't on the side of a hill. If those spots are gone, you are screwed. Residence Inns should be noted as not accessible or pet friendly. In the second room, I looked at someone who had smoked weed in the room. Do not come here if you want anything other than an expensive room. You'll get your steps in while on the property. Don't expect the front desk staff to be helpful.
Apr 04, 2025 · Heather PiperWe were staying at the Residence Inn for Five months while our house was under repair. I can't express enough how great it was being there surrounded by a staff that cares for their guest. We were always treated so kindly and accommodated when we needed something. Morning and night staff at the front desk, the maintenance crew, and housekeeping everyone was just the sweetest. It was a bittersweet moment when we left. I highly recommend this place. It's not the most modern but it is the most friendliest and cozy. Thank you Residence Inn of Danbury for making our experience a lot less stressful than it could've been. Happy new year to you all!
Jan 03, 2025 · Celeste BackerLists queen bed but it is a full size from 1980 - old and worn out. Sofa bed is more comfortable closed because the mattress is pre-world war 2. If you must stay her plan to sleep on the floor - its way more comfortable!!!!! Marriott should be ashamed to have their name on this building.
Apr 01, 2025 · Robert VangSuper friendly and efficient staff. We had a reservation and a couple of days before it I received a message from the hotel informing us the pool would be out of service for repair. Although this was disappointing I appreciate the proactiveness to let us know ahead of time of this before having a bad surprise at check in. When I asked about the options for cancellation given this (we were traveling with children and the pool was a must), Briana, the manager, was extremely friendly and efficient to accommodate this request without any type of attitude. I truly appreciate their proactiveness, friendliness, and efficiency. It's too bad we were not able to experience the hotel, but I'm sure given the experience I had interacting with them through this circumstance, the hotel is very well managed.
