Definitely bring some sanitizing wipes to clean every surface and touchpoint before staying here. Asked for more towels and a new pillow (one in the room had a gross stain on it). The staff member said they would get them to us later when the wash was done. We never got our items. Room smelled like smoke. Door was open when we came up to the room the first time so I suspect that's how they air out the smoke scent from the non-smoking rooms. Door was open to the room across the hall our whole stay. It seemed to be a storage room for their junk? There were several rooms like this... Very odd?? However, for the price, I don't think it could be better? Personally, I don't think I'll ever stay at such a cheap hotel again after this experience. I'd rather pay an extra $30/night to have a clean room in a hotel that doesn't have sunflower seed shells all over the musty carpet.
For travelers exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Brookville, Pennsylvania, the Rodeway Inn, located at 235 Allegheny Blvd, Brookville, PA 15825, USA, often appears as a budget-conscious option. As part of the Choice Hotels family, Rodeway Inn properties are typically known for offering economical lodging, aiming to provide essential amenities for travelers on a budget.
The Rodeway Inn in Brookville is strategically positioned with good access to Interstate 80, making it a convenient stop for travelers passing through the area. Its location on Allegheny Boulevard places it within reach of local services, gas stations, and some dining options in Brookville. This accessibility is often a primary draw for guests seeking a practical and quick overnight stay. However, the external environment, as gleaned from customer reviews, can sometimes present issues. One review explicitly mentions that "The sidewalks and parking lot was snow covered, and it wasn’t snow that had just fallen," indicating potential inconsistencies in exterior maintenance. The presence of open doors to what appear to be storage rooms, described as holding "junk," could also detract from the overall appearance and perceived safety of the premises.
As a budget hotel, the Rodeway Inn typically offers a streamlined set of services. These generally include:
The Rodeway Inn brand emphasizes providing "what you need" at a reasonable price. Common features would include:
The overall impression from customer feedback suggests a property that, while attempting to offer basic features, struggles with consistent execution of cleanliness and guest service standards. The mention of "thin walls between adjoining rooms" in a comparable hotel review (which, while not explicitly for this Rodeway Inn, is common for budget properties) could also be a relevant consideration for noise levels.
The primary promotional aspect of the Rodeway Inn is its affordability. For travelers prioritizing a low price point above all else, this hotel aims to be a viable option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" search. Reviews often acknowledge this, with one guest stating, "However, for the price, I don't think it could be better?" This sentiment reflects that the value proposition of the hotel is almost exclusively tied to its low cost, potentially at the expense of comfort and cleanliness. The warning from a guest, "Personally, I don't think I'll ever stay at such a cheap hotel again after this experience. I'd rather pay an extra $30/night to have a clean room in a hotel that doesn't have sunflower seed shells all over the musty carpet," serves as a strong caveat to the "good price" aspect.

Feb 05, 2025 · Emily V.The sidewalks and parking lot was snow covered, and it wasn’t snow that had just fallen. The bed was not clean. There was several long dark strands of hair on the pillow along with a lot of animal hairs on the pillows and sheet. There was also what looked like blood droppings on the sheet. There were no Kleenex’s in our room. When we went to the desk to ask for some, we were told the whole hotel was out of them. The breakfast was awful. They were out of quite a few essentials. Would not stay here again.
Feb 25, 2025 · Linda HammThis hotel was extremely disgusting do not recommend. It looked like it hasn't been clean since the 70's, our door lock was powered by a triple A battery pack there were no pillows, and our bathtub, sink and toilet were stained with much and filth dont waste your time here. Judging off these pictures I don't know how this was acceptable.
Feb 19, 2025 · Steven WestHonestly, it’s not a fancy hotel and it looks a bit worse outside than it is inside. It was very quiet and clean. It was cheap. They have eggs Sausage and cereal for breakfast. If I’m ever here again, I’ll definitely stay by
Mar 19, 2025 · Miles ChrismanStopped here for the night during a long drive. It was as expected for the price. Staff was very nice. Non-smoking room was slightly musty smelling but I've been in worse. I did not see any signs of bed bugs.
