Pretty good experience and nice views for the place. The room was lovely and we really enjoyed the patio. Shower water pressure was amazing and the water stayed hot for a long time. Only downside was the restaurant. I figured we would give it a try but wasn鈥檛 the best we had during our stay. Friendly people and staff.

It caters to a diverse range of guests, from avid golfers and fishing enthusiasts to families and couples seeking a peaceful and engaging escape in nature.

The environment at Roscoe Mountain Club is truly a defining feature, garnering high praise from visitors. Nestled "high in the mountains of New York," the club offers "breathtaking panoramic views and sunsets" that are often described as unique because it's the "highest point in Sullivan County." The property spans over 1,000 majestic acres, providing a sprawling natural playground. It's surrounded by the beauty of the Catskill Mountains, offering a serene and inspiring backdrop for all activities. Roscoe, famously known as "Trout Town, USA," is a haven for fly-fishing, and the resort leverages this with its private lake, offering "some of the best freshwater lake fishing in America" for largemouth bass and yellow perch. The environment is meticulously maintained, as evidenced by reviews highlighting the "spotless" rooms and the general feeling that "the place felt well taken care of." Beyond the golf course, there are extensive "scenic hiking trails," areas for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter, and opportunities for biking. The combination of rolling greens, pristine lake, and forested mountains creates a visually stunning and invigorating atmosphere, perfect for both active pursuits and quiet contemplation. The "firepits and Adirondack chairs" strategically placed around the property provide cozy spots to relax and soak in the natural splendor, especially during sunset.

The services at Roscoe Mountain Club are designed to provide a comfortable and engaging resort experience. While the front desk operates during limited hours (typically 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM), the staff are consistently described as "friendly people and staff," offering warm and accommodating service. Housekeeping services are available upon request. A key amenity is the on-site restaurant, The 1907, which, despite one reviewer's less enthusiastic note about the food, is generally presented as a highlight, particularly for its "newly renovated dining atmosphere" and its "stunning views" overlooking the golf course. We鈥檝e stayed there for one night. The room was spotless (I checked馃槀), the mattress was very comfortable, the area was very beautiful and tidy. In general the place felt well taken care of. We would definitely come back for more than one night! Loved it!:)

Went there for a wedding in July and it was terrible. They also told the bride that if family member took down their bad reviews that they would help on the contract for the wedding because people had extreme difficulties in booking a room and getting a hold of someone. The wedding itself was great but the staff was incompetent and the event manager was absolutely horrible and incapable at her job. They ran out of lot of different types of alcohol and beer at the bar. The place was dirty. The only AC inside the venue for the reception was a floor unit that didn鈥檛 vent outside so all the hot air just blew back into the room so it extremely hot inside. The staff didn鈥檛 bus the tables or refill any one鈥檚 water until guests asked them to. Then the horrible event manager sat at the bar half the night talking to the bartenders which there was only two of for about 200 people. The chef quit after the wedding because the event manager had him doing her job because she鈥檚 either too lazy or can鈥檛 do her job. Don鈥檛 have your wedding here, just go for the golf and leave. That seems to be about all they can handle. *Update: My wife was just contacted stating that since we have an outstanding balance, which is false because it belongs to someone else, that we鈥檙e are not allowed to participate in any event on the grounds until it was settled and mentioned again about the bad reviews they received online. One of the events that we were planning on attending was a pickleball tournament for breast cancer. As of now, I will not be returning to this establishment to either golf or eat. Instead of worrying about the bad reviews, maybe start worrying about WHY you got the bad reviews. They have 100% lost all of my business, absolutely terrible staff and owner. They have the ability to fix a lot of issues that were are still having and then maybe I鈥檒l change the review but they just keep making it worse. Good job.

I recently attended a wedding at the Roscoe Mountain Club. The wedding was beautiful. Everything was set up beautifully and the bride was stunning. It was a hot day (to be expected), there was water available and the bride had fans for guests. When the ceremony ended we had to wait for two 4-person golf carts to cart us to the cocktail hour. It took about 45 minutes in the heat for our turn. By the time we got to the cocktail hour most of the food was gone and the wait for the bar for any kind of refreshment had an over 20 minute wait. When we went to the building for the reception we were immediately hit with hot, humid air. It was hotter inside than it was outside at the cocktail hour! Staff was scrambling to set up fans and open filthy windows. Pictures from the event have wires running on the floor and portable fans in the background. The tables had small glasses of warm water and warm, flat champagne for the toast, which must have been poured hours before the event. The glasses of water were never refilled once the entire night. Requests for more water were denied and we were sent to the bar. The bar had about 4 bottles of liquor (no whiskey, no rum) with only a few options as mixers. The food was sub par. The chicken was reconstituted patties and the potatoes were clearly boxed. After the cake was cut we did not receive cake (cutting it wasn't in the contract?!) nor were we offered any tea or coffee service. Staff appeared to be scrambling all night with rumors the chef was quitting due to poor working conditions. If the ballroom was over 90 degrees, the kitchen must have been unbearable. A woman at my table said that her husband did not attend and she's glad he didn't come because it was clearly not handicapped accessible for him. The grounds of the venue were beautiful so it's sad to see it being run so poorly. This place has a lot of potential that is being wasted by inept management.

Well I can say back in the day around 2016 to 2022 The rooms were old but clean ! The wedding venue was outdated, but it was always clean. The staff was fantastic at the restaurant. The housekeepers were wonderful at that old motel ,now the place has new owners. You have a wedding planner who can鈥檛 do her job , she鈥檚 very lazy. Her name is Kate, you have an uneducated idiot that works at the desk, . Her name is Paige who doesn鈥檛 know her job. Unfortunately there will never be another Paul or Mary, miss you guys 鈾ワ笍 or the lovely ladies those beautiful housekeepers ! 鉂わ笍 Miss your beautiful faces, & those smiles that worked at that old, but clean motel , miss that old crew but It will never be the same again. They didn鈥檛 have Fancy rooms and all new accommodations like you guys have now but at least that crew knew how to do their job and how to treat their guests!
