The RV area generally appears to be in better condition, indicating a focus on this segment of guests.

For accommodation, they provide a range of options: RV sites (including 50 amp hook-ups and pull-throughs), dedicated tent sites, and various cabin rentals. Other practical services include laundry facilities, propane, and hot showers, though some reviews indicate that the "bathrooms/bathhouse need quite a bit of TLC and some definite updating," as does the laundry area. Wi-Fi hotspots are also available, and the resort accepts pets, though restrictions may apply. It's important to note that a "boil water" advisory was mentioned by a past guest, which indicates a need for clear communication upon arrival regarding water safety. The resort also offers activity directors, BBQs, bands, and themed weekends, pointing towards a vibrant social calendar, particularly during peak seasons.
Key features that define Saratoga Escape Lodges & RV Resort include its diverse lodging options and its extensive recreational facilities. The presence of a private lake with beach access is a significant draw, offering a natural swimming and boating area distinct from typical hotel pools. The aqua playground and multiple swimming pools cater to families and offer diverse water-based fun. The mini-golf course, while noted as "still being worked on" in some reviews, contributes to the recreational offerings. The overall atmosphere is touted as "friendly," with staff who are "nice enough" and "so friendly," contributing positively to the guest experience. The resort's focus on providing a family-friendly environment with a variety of on-site activities helps distinguish it from standard hotels, positioning it more as a destination in itself. Furthermore, the resort claims to be open year-round, offering winter activities such as snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and ice skating, which expands its appeal beyond the traditional camping season.
From a promotional standpoint, Saratoga Escape Lodges & RV Resort appeals to those searching for "Hotels Near Me" who desire a blend of nature, recreation, and family-friendly amenities. Furthermore, it's an easy 20-minute drive to Lake George, offering additional opportunities for water sports and sightseeing. The resort can promote itself as an ideal base for exploring the Adirondack Mountains, including white water rafting and numerous historic sites. Despite some feedback regarding maintenance, the positive comments about the "fantastic members and weekenders" and the enjoyable pool and mini-golf experiences highlight the potential for a positive stay, especially for those seeking an active outdoor vacation. The people there were nice enough. The entire place looked a little run down and not well maintained. We camped and I don't think they get many campers. I will say that there was new sod to put our tent on, so that was nice. But other things, the store or welcome area was closed so don't know where to go and no one to formally greet us. When we found people that told us where to camp.. However, we weren't told about needing to boil the water before using it when we arrived. We found out by the signs taped to the bathroom doors. It was a little off-putting since we had our 3 children with us. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the water park area, since we needed to leave but I doubt they had lifeguards anyway. The playground looked really nice, but was raining and didn't get to use that either. The RV area looked fine, but wouldn't really recommend this site for camping.
Sep 04, 2024 · Benjamin StuartCampground was nice, everyone was so friendly!! Location was just far enough from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to enjoy the region! Pool was great, the mini golf was better than past reviews but still being worked on. Bathrooms/Bathhouse need quite a bit of TLC and some definite updating, and so did the laundry area. This was a very nice, Adirondack Rustic, campground, not a resort. The trails around the pond and the covered bridge were quiet, and pretty - easy stroll! It was still a nice place to stay with fantastic members and weekenders like us!
Aug 19, 2024 · Lisa WCampground is older. Pool and splash pad are fantastic. They were working on cleaning up the putt-putt course. It will be very nice when finished. The store is nice. Most of the campsites are fairly level and decent size. The bathrooms and laundry room need a deep cleaning and need to be updated. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer were operational.
Jul 08, 2024 · Debbi K JesticeGreat place to just relax and enjoy all of the Adirondacks after to offer their activities Director Shasta was amazing. Kids had so much fun with lots of great activities. The staff was great. The band and barbecue were awesome Nice fire with lots of friendly faces The store was very well stocked, and I would recommend this campground to anyone who doesn’t like the big commercial atmosphere.
May 31, 2024 · mike lailerThe campground is buried in the hills near Saratoga, and is not too bad. We stayed in a tent and we dealt with teenage girls having a sleepover in the clamping tent next door until midnight. A nice pool but the bathrooms and showers were disgusting. I'll never go back because of that.
