Beautiful historical hotel with a perfect location; tons of shops, attractions, and restaurants within walking distance. My room was really nicely done up and very clean; all of the common spaces were gorgeous. The front desk staff was very welcoming and really went above and beyond. I had been warned that parking was limited, but there were plenty of spots when I arrived. The lot did fill up later in the evening but there was enough parking available in the area (and it was safe and easy to walk around the neighborhood) that I don't think it would have been an issue if I hadn't been able to get a spot.

The Inn at Saratoga Introduce

For discerning travelers seeking a hotel that marries rich history with modern comfort in the heart of Saratoga Springs, New York, The Inn at Saratoga stands as a distinguished choice. Located at 231 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, USA, this beautiful historic hotel offers a prime position for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," allowing guests to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and natural beauty of the city. Renowned for its unique character, attentive service, and exceptional location, The Inn at Saratoga provides a memorable and enchanting stay.

Environment: A Step Back in Time with Urban Vibrancy

The Inn at Saratoga is a beautiful historical hotel, dating back to 1843, and proudly embraces its Victorian charm while offering contemporary amenities. Guests frequently describe the atmosphere as "shabby-chic," appreciating the antique decor, elegant common spaces, and unique interiors that evoke a sense of bygone grandeur. From the moment one steps into the lobby with its warm woods, rich colors, and classic whites, it's clear that the hotel offers a distinctive ambiance that feels both historic and inviting. The presence of wood-burning fireplaces in the lobby adds to the cozy and welcoming feel.

One of the most significant environmental advantages of The Inn at Saratoga is its perfect location. Situated on Broadway, it offers easy and safe walkability to a myriad of Saratoga Springs' most cherished attractions. Guests can explore tons of shops, attractions, and restaurants within a short stroll. Congress Park, a tranquil urban oasis, is right across the street, providing a serene escape. The hotel is also conveniently close to major Saratoga Springs landmarks, including the Saratoga Race Course (approximately one mile or a 20-minute walk) and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), making it an ideal base for attending events, races, or exploring the city's vibrant arts scene. The neighborhood itself is described as safe and easy to navigate on foot, contributing to a stress-free and enjoyable experience.

Services: Attentive Staff and Delectable Dining

The Inn at Saratoga consistently receives high praise for its staff, who are noted for being "very welcoming" and going "above and beyond." This dedication to guest satisfaction creates a warm and personalized experience. The front desk operates 24/7, ensuring that assistance is always available. The hotel prides itself on attentive hospitality, making guests feel well-cared for from check-in to check-out.

A key service highlight is the complimentary breakfast, which guests have described as "delicious" and "generous," with many raving about the homemade options and quality. While some sources indicate breakfast is a buffet available for a fee, the hotel's official website often promotes packages that include complimentary daily breakfast, so it's advisable to check current offerings directly. Coffee and tea are also available in common areas.

The Inn at Saratoga boasts an on-site restaurant and tavern, "The Side Room," which offers gourmet dining for dinner and a cozy atmosphere. This vintage tavern and cocktail parlor provides sophisticated bites, craft cocktails, and often features live music five nights a week, ranging from folk to traditional Irish, creating a lively and enjoyable evening ambiance. This amenity allows guests to enjoy delicious food and entertainment without leaving the hotel. Additionally, the hotel offers room service with limited hours.

While The Inn at Saratoga focuses on its historic charm, it also provides modern conveniences. Free high-speed wired and wireless internet access is available in all rooms and public areas, ensuring guests can stay connected. For recreation, guests enjoy complimentary access to the Victoria Swimming Pool located in Saratoga Spa State Park and can use the nearby YMCA free of charge, providing options for swimming and fitness activities. Other services include daily housekeeping, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. The hotel also has conference space and banquet halls, suitable for weddings, private parties, or corporate retreats, with fine catering and AV equipment available.

Features: Unique Rooms and Thoughtful Amenities

The Inn at Saratoga features 42 well-appointed guestrooms and suites, each uniquely decorated with antique furnishings and handcrafted mahogany furniture, giving each room its own distinct character and charm. While some guests acknowledge the "old and shabby" aspects, this is often viewed as part of its cool, authentic historical appeal. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs with premium channels, coffee/tea makers, mini-fridges, and in-room safes. Premium bedding and pillow-top mattresses are provided, with guests praising the comfortable beds. Some luxury suites even feature whirlpool tubs, massage showers, and stove fireplaces for enhanced relaxation.

The hotel is committed to accessibility, offering wheelchair-accessible parking and common areas, and certain accessible room types (details should be confirmed with the hotel). The property maintains a 100% smoke-free policy indoors, with designated outdoor areas. Environmentally conscious initiatives include biodegradable amenity bottles, LED light bulbs, and recycling programs. A unique feature is the complimentary use of vintage Roadmaster bicycles for up to two hours per day, perfect for leisurely rides around town and exploring the neighborhood.

Regarding parking, while guest reviews mention that the hotel's on-site lot can fill up later in the evening and is described as "limited" or "very small," there are often "plenty of spots" available upon arrival, and enough safe parking options in the surrounding area to not cause an issue. This amenity, often free for guests, is a valuable convenience in a bustling downtown area.

It's important to note that while some earlier information might suggest The Inn at Saratoga is pet-friendly, current official policies from Hilton and other booking sites clarify that pets are generally not allowed. For example, some sources explicitly state "Pets not allowed," while others mention "Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable," but then specify a very limited number of designated rooms on the ground floor for dogs under 60 lbs with a significant non-refundable fee, and explicitly state "cats are not accepted." Given the conflicting information, it is highly recommended to confirm the latest and most accurate pet policy directly with the hotel if traveling with a pet, as this policy can change and specific room availability is very limited.

Promotional Information: Unforgettable Stays and Special Offers

As a Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel, The Inn at Saratoga participates in the Hilton Honors program, allowing members to earn and redeem points for stays, and potentially access exclusive member rates and benefits. The hotel also frequently offers special packages, such as those including a complimentary breakfast or other added values, which can be found on their official website or through various booking platforms. The consistent positive feedback regarding the staff, location, cleanliness, and unique character serves as a powerful promotional tool, encouraging repeat visits and strong recommendations from guests seeking a memorable stay in Saratoga Springs.

In conclusion, The Inn at Saratoga offers a truly unique lodging experience, blending the elegance of a historic inn with the conveniences and services expected by today's travelers. Its prime downtown location, coupled with its dedicated staff, delightful dining options, and charming features, makes it a top consideration for anyone looking for a distinctive and comfortable stay within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Saratoga Springs.

Great hotel. Everyone was very nice. Love the antique decor and breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to downtown. Only downfall was there is not a ton of parking but we did always find a spot.

My husband and I had date night at The Tavern inside the Inn at Saratoga. The food was wonderful and the service was perfect ( thank you Paul ) Entertainment was very nice but a bit too loud. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Quaint historic inn, friendly staff, good location with a 5 minute walk to town, however, it is not well maintained, carpet is old & torn in some places, old furniture in the room with torn seams, wallpaper torn in corners, stains on comforter, could hear everything happening outside all night, TV kept losing connection , & the building had no hot water on our last day. We would not stay there again.

Location: Right on Broadway, short walk to Casino Park and Saratoga Visitor Center. Service: Staff more than friendly and helpful. Rooms are styled in "old world" elegance with super comfy beds. Stayed several times and always satisfied.
