It's unfortunate to have to leave a negative review--the views from this cabin are spectacular, it's a quick drive to Townsend, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, and the amenities are nice. HOWEVER, my wife and I stayed here at the end of October for an anniversary trip. On our last night, the motor fan for the heater burned out at 11:15 PM. The owners did not answer our phone calls. The fire department came out to ensure there wasn't anything actively burning (as there was enough going on to burn our eyes and throats). Thankfully, there was no fire, but they informed us the heater was burned out, so we would have no heat the rest of the night. Mind you, the temperature was in the 20s Fahrenheit, and we had been standing outside for over an hour while the fire department was inspecting the premises. We followed the checkout procedures as best we could, but had to pack up all our things and make our way to a nearby Best Western for the rest of the night (checking in after 1 AM). Later that morning, we made the 11.5 hour drive home, exhausted. We left messages for the owners, including a thorough text from my wife describing the night's events. The only response we ever received was "OMG, thanks!" I'm not joking. No offer to refund our last night (which we didn't get to spend in the cabin), let alone compensate us for the hotel room we had to book for the night we ought to have enjoyed in said cabin. My wife has made other efforts to reach out, but it's been crickets in return. DO NOT rent this place--there are many other perfectly viable options around, and I can't imagine the people renting out the other cabins could possibly be as dismissive and neglectful as the owners of this one. Book at your own risk.

While the property boasts several attractive features, prospective guests should consider all aspects, including recent guest feedback, to ensure it aligns with their expectations for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The environment surrounding Secret Ridge is undeniably one of its most compelling attributes. Reviews consistently highlight the "spectacular" and "breathtaking views" of the Great Smoky Mountains, including Mt. LeConte. The cabin's elevated position within a community, often referred to as Parkside Village, allows guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region, with panoramic vistas that can be enjoyed from various points of the property. The serene mountain setting offers a sense of escape and tranquility, appealing to those who wish to unwind amidst nature. The location is also praised for its strategic convenience, being a "quick drive to Townsend, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg." This blend of secluded beauty and accessibility to popular tourist destinations makes it an attractive option for a diverse range of travelers, from those seeking quiet contemplation to those eager to explore the area's many attractions. Properties in these mountainous areas typically have well-maintained roads, though guests should be prepared for some inclines characteristic of the terrain.
Secret Ridge is designed to offer a comfortable and engaging experience, featuring amenities that cater to both relaxation and entertainment. The cabin typically includes two spacious bedrooms, each furnished with a king-size bed, and multiple full bathrooms, ensuring privacy and convenience for guests. One review specifically mentions a Jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom, adding a touch of luxury. There is often a sleeper sofa in the main living area, allowing the cabin to accommodate more guests, potentially up to 6. The living spaces are often designed with comfort in mind, featuring fireplaces on both floors to add warmth and charm, and smart TVs with cable in each bedroom and the main living room, complete with DVD players. A fully equipped kitchen, including an oven, stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, and dishwasher, is standard, stocked with essential pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and silverware, providing guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals. A dining area is typically located just off the kitchen for shared meals.
Key features of Secret Ridge include its recreational offerings and outdoor spaces. The cabin boasts a dedicated game room, often located upstairs, equipped with a full-size pool table, an arcade table, and a mini air hockey table, providing ample indoor entertainment, especially for families with children and young adults. This is a significant draw, as highlighted in guest feedback. For outdoor enjoyment, the cabin typically offers porches on both levels that face the mountains, furnished with rocking chairs perfect for soaking in the views. A private hot tub is a popular amenity, strategically placed on one of the decks to allow guests to relax while taking in the stunning mountain scenery. Additionally, a charcoal grill is usually available for outdoor cooking. The cabin also generally includes practical amenities such as a washer and dryer, and free Wi-Fi, allowing guests to stay connected. Furthermore, being part of a larger community, Secret Ridge guests may have access to a neighborhood pool and a playground, enhancing the overall resort-like experience.
While the physical attributes and location of Secret Ridge are highly appealing, it is crucial to address the specific customer review provided, which raises significant concerns about guest experience and owner responsiveness. The review details an unfortunate incident where the heater failed during cold weather, leading to discomfort and the need for guests to seek alternative accommodation. More critically, the review highlights a perceived lack of owner responsiveness and an unwillingness to offer compensation for the disrupted stay. This aspect of customer service is paramount for any lodging establishment within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, where guests expect not only pleasant facilities but also reliable support. While the cabin itself is described as having "breathtaking views, luxurious amenities and perfect location," this singular negative experience underscores the importance of consistent maintenance and effective communication channels from the property management or owners. Guests should be aware that while the amenities are generally well-regarded, the level of direct owner support in unforeseen circumstances may vary.
Regarding promotional information, specific deals for Secret Ridge are best confirmed directly with the booking platform or property management. However, the broader cabin rental market in the Smoky Mountains frequently offers various promotions. These can include seasonal discounts (e.g., Spring Special with 30% off, Summer with 25% off for stays of 2 nights or more), last-minute booking incentives, or package deals that might include complimentary passes to local attractions. Some rental companies also offer discounts for extended stays or repeat guests. When booking Secret Ridge, it would be advisable to inquire about any such offers and to clarify the terms and conditions, particularly concerning cancellation policies and emergency protocols. The objective is to provide a comprehensive and balanced overview of Secret Ridge, acknowledging its considerable natural beauty and amenity offerings, while also transparently presenting recent guest feedback regarding service aspects, thereby allowing potential guests to make an informed decision for their stay in Sevierville.
