I came to stay at this hotel because my best friend’s wedding was the weekend of my stay and the venue wasn’t far from this location. Upon arrival, all seemed well. The front desk appeared friendly and they got me checked in right away. Getting to my room, it appeared clean, but as soon as I got to the restroom I suspected something might be wrong. The towels were filthy. They looked as if they had not been changed from whoever stayed in the room previously. My girlfriend went down to the front desk to ask for new towels and the woman at the front desk gave her an attitude about not having brought up the dirty towels with her even though my girlfriend explained to me that she had been kind to the woman at the front desk and just asked for replacement towels and was not complaining. My girlfriend came back with new towels and brought the old ones back. Upon further inspection of the room, the bedding was also filthy. There were blood and dirt stains all over the blankets and sheets. I brought these up and when I spoke to the woman at the front desk she was apologetic, I was appreciative of that but had no time to leave a complaint as I had little time at this point to get ready for my the rehearsal dinner for my friend’s wedding. Let me be clear, the bedding was given to me to redress my own bed. There was no offer to have us change rooms and there was no offer to have house keeping go back over the room and redress the bed themselves. We spoke to the front desk many times, leaving unhappy and like we were not being listened to each time. We decided to ask for a way to reach the manager first and upon going to do so were met by a woman at the front desk who would only give us the contact for the front desk, email and phone number. She very reluctantly asked if we wanted to switch to a double room, mind you it’s late at night and we’ve had a long day of traveling. I didn’t get the name of the woman working the desk that night but she was very rude and not helpful in the slightest. The next morning after we had breakfast, which was good I will say, we decided to go back to the front desk to speak with someone else. The gentleman at the front desk that morning was kind and helpful, he got the front desk manager on the phone and spoke with her regarding our complaints and request for some sort of compensation, she refused all. It became clear that the woman we had spoken to the night previously, had contacted the front desk manager about us and had told her we were rude and that there was no way to satisfy us. We at that point requested a way to contact someone above the front desk manager and the gentleman requested this of her and she basically refused to give us any information. She told him the best she could do was have us leave our contact information with him at the front desk and she would contact us the following Monday when she returned from the weekend. That is unacceptable. For us to be told there is no one we can talk to about complaining about a horrendous stay is ridiculous. We were also told there would be business cards left at the front desk by the time we returned from the wedding, this was not true. We checked back again the following morning as we were going to check out and yet again, no business cards. All in all, terrible stay. If you want to stay somewhere where you are treated with respect and like a customer instead of a pest, find somewhere else.

Ok, I read almost all the reviews before booking here… to say that… there are still surprises. I think the easiest way to do this is to do a list of pros & cons…Setting the stage…We were traveling from KY to NC with 2 cars, & moving truck pulling a trailer.(5) Adults Pros: courteous, helpful & respectful staff Pretty good breakfast selection Rooms clean (mostly) Comfortable beds (but small in double room) Water was good & hot with good pressure Good location as everything is close by Cons: Hotel is older, in great need of renovation so hard to tell what was “dated” and what wasn’t cleaned well Carpet/floors sticky Our bathroom was a nightmare with very poor lighting and barely room to close the door without hitting the toilet Double room very small for 2 beds plus adults with luggage Probably would not stay here again

For a budget hotel, it was great! Room was a little small, but clean. Staff took care of anything quickly and professionally and the free breakfast was good as well! Perfect place for what we needed on that trip!

To charge what they do to stay here, they need to fix their internet and elevator. Otherwise, I view some of the bottom of the barrel budget hotels as being better than them. Elevator is super slow, and internet intermittently cuts out when streaming video. These are things they could fix for a better customer experience.

They kept our $50 that we had to put down on our room for incidentals and they did the same thing to our friends. I would’ve never looked and found out. Had they not done it to our friends too. If you stay there, make sure they don’t pull this on you. Then our bathtub wouldn’t drain. And our first room had steam sheets and bedspread so we had to get a different room kind of a dump
