First off, the aren't open even though the page says they are. Many rooms were destroyed due to hurricane helene, they need to update this. They refuse to respond to emails to get answer for refunds or to get our stuff. When asked they just ignored it and put up a fence around the property, so legal action will have to be taken to get our money back as well as to cover the lose from them stealing people's property. It isn't legal for them to keep people away from their own property just for the hotel owner to trash or sell them. I already got one of my bags that had been dumped out just to hold wires. I do see where they removed several reviews on here that mention them being closed due to hurricane damage, which is odd tbh. Now for the main part. Before the storm the rooms where cheaply done, the whole place would shake if you walked too fast or hard in the room and this applies to the rooms adjacent as well. The rooms were supposed to be non smoking but it's clear people smoked there anyways, worse was how bad the weed was my kids woke up several times because of how much people were smoking it (probably was sitting outside the window, *all the rooms are ground floor*) I could care less if someone is smoking weed but if it affects my kids and I have to explain to the school why they show up to school smelling like weed well then I have a problem with it. I was also told that we had to wash the bed sheets and blankets our selves or else we would be charged $200 for it (this was the hotels bed linens mind you) so that means we couldn't ask for fresh ones when we needed it without being charged for it, they also never cleaned the room but to take out the towels regardlessif we used them or not or JUST GOT THEM. Which is not the standard for hotels in the first place, sweeping and mopping the rooms (when they don't have carpets like this hotel) replacing the towels and bedding is the standard, the guest isn't supposed to be the one cleaning the room after room service stopped in. My room was positioned just right for the leaves to be blown against the door so when you opened it on a windy day the leaves come flying in and with no broom to sweep them out they pile up fast, so you have to go find one of the housekeeping staff.

Apr 17, 2025 · Bruce RussellAbsolutely incredible! The location is beautiful, conveniently right off the highway, and the hotel is very quaint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We traveled with our 2 puppies, and we were VERY pleasantly surprised that they did not charge a pet fee (many Super 8s do.) Also, the dog park on the premises was awesome. Our puppies hadn't been off leash for over a week during our trip, so they got a chance to run around. If we find ourselves back that way again, we will happily be staying there. Thank you!
Jul 19, 2024 · John PlackShare details of your own experience at this place Okay... Details of your own experience at this place. Just kidding! In all seriousness, best motel was the very first place I had ever stayed in the Blue ridge mountains, entirely on my own. I kid you not! Even if it was only just four nights or maybe 3 1/2? Or perhaps three and a half days? Gosh, it doesn't really matter, does it? What matters is how this experience was a turning point for me, personally. It was the second major step 🪜 in my very gradual transition from being a man who lived with his mom and helped her out as much as he could, on to being a man who lives on his own, and helps completely random The strangers out as much as he can. Yeah, this is right! I've been helping out strangers, because during this year, of 2021, and my first experience of a long-distance trip all on my own, random strangers would simply offer their help to me. Why? I don't know. Maybe it's because they just wanted to. And of course, this includes the staff of this particular motel I stayed at. Plus, the viewing screens they had in the lobby are among the coolest I've ever seen!!
May 08, 2024 · Ross Eberle (Spiral Storm)Booked room here last minute. Room was relatively clean and as shown online. You could tell our room was a smoking room in the past but the smell wasn’t too strong. Overall it did the job and we were pleased with our stay/price. Important note is that the breakfast was ONLY juice, coffee, and packaged pastries.
May 15, 2024 · Ray SheptakMe and my partner experienced poor communication at this location… We needed a long stay temporary till we purchased our home. We were told not to worry about a contract during our stay, which required a signature regarding rules… They kicked us out because they came to our door one time and said, we’re kicking you out because yesterday your partner while he was spring cleaning had the door open listening to music, we of course asked the neighbor to please let us know if our music is above volume respects and we would simply turn it down… Someone walked across the room that worked there And said yes it’s a little loud. No problem turned it down…! Next day we got asked to leave people don’t understand people live there so to be uprooted and asked to leave around. Check out when you have a work schedule Definitely sucks! Not sure if I can recommend this place as dependable and respectful with their communication. We were told not to worry that we weren’t anybody that needed to read over and sign resulted in music playing and just because music was playing we got kicked out. Be careful…
