My family members lost their home in a fire and stayed at this hotel their first night of homelessness. Instead of showing compassion for a family that had just lost everything they owned, the manager accused them of stealing a pillow, a washcloth, and a hand towel. Shortly afterwards, he let them know the items were found in another room & let them know he wasn’t going to charge them the $50 fee for the misplaced items. How very generous of him.

Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area Introduce

Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area, located at 1288 Sheridan Dr, Tonawanda, NY 14217, USA, presents itself as a budget-friendly option for travelers visiting the greater Buffalo and Niagara Falls regions. As a property listed on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, it aims to cater to local users seeking readily available and economical lodging, emphasizing its convenient location and basic amenities. This introduction offers an objective overview of the hotel, synthesizing information from various online sources and guest feedback to provide a comprehensive picture of what to expect.

The hotel's environment benefits from its strategic location. Situated off Interstate 190 and near Highway 62, it offers relatively easy access to several key attractions. Downtown Buffalo is approximately a 5 to 10-minute drive away, providing access to major business centers, entertainment venues like KeyBank Center, and cultural institutions such as the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Buffalo Zoo. For those planning to visit Niagara Falls, the iconic natural wonder is about 15 to 20 miles away, typically a 20 to 25-minute drive, making it a feasible option for budget-conscious tourists who don't mind the commute. The immediate vicinity of the hotel on Sheridan Drive features commercial establishments and restaurants, offering convenient dining and shopping options within walking distance or a short drive. However, it's worth noting that some reviews mention proximity to train tracks, which could be a source of noise for some guests.

Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area provides a range of services designed to offer a comfortable and practical stay. A 24-hour front desk ensures that guests can check in or receive assistance at any time. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, allowing guests to stay connected for work or leisure. For travelers with vehicles, free self-parking is provided on-site, including space for buses, RVs, and trucks, which is a significant advantage in any travel destination. The hotel also offers essential services such as dry cleaning/laundry facilities, vending machines for snacks and beverages, and a business center with copy and fax services, catering to both casual travelers and those on business trips.

The hotel features 58 guest rooms distributed across two floors, with all rooms having interior hallway access for added security. Each air-conditioned guest room is typically equipped with a flat-screen TV with cable channels (including HBO, CNN, ESPN, and Cartoon Network), a desk, a telephone with free local calls, an iron/ironing board, a coffee/tea maker, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Private bathrooms include a bath or shower combination, along with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Non-smoking rooms are available, and some rooms are also designed to be mobility and hearing accessible. While amenities are basic, they aim to cover the fundamental needs of a short-term or extended stay.

One of the promotional aspects of Super 8 by Wyndham properties is often the complimentary breakfast. At this particular location, a free "on-the-go" or "light continental breakfast" is offered daily, typically from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. While specific items can vary, common offerings include coffee, tea, juice, cold cereal, oatmeal, toast, fruit cups, yogurt, and sometimes waffles or cinnamon rolls. Guest feedback on the breakfast is mixed; some find it adequate for a quick start, while others feel it is basic and could be more substantial, prompting them to seek breakfast elsewhere. Nevertheless, it provides a convenient, no-cost option for guests.

It is important for prospective guests to consider the mixed reviews regarding the overall guest experience at this Super 8 location. While some guests have praised the cleanliness of the rooms, the comfortable beds, and the friendly and accommodating nature of certain staff members, particularly at the front desk, other reviews highlight significant concerns. These issues include reports of rude or unhelpful management, accusations of theft from guests, and perceived lack of compassion from staff in sensitive situations. There are also mentions of rooms being run down, small, or not as clean as expected, and occasional noise from adjacent rooms or passing trains. This inconsistency in guest experience is a critical factor to acknowledge for anyone considering a stay. The hotel has implemented some safety measures in response to current health guidelines, such as heightened sanitation and increased availability of sanitation products, and states that certain services may be limited.

For those searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" and prioritizing a very budget-conscious stay with essential amenities, Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area might be considered. It offers a convenient location for accessing both Buffalo and Niagara Falls attractions, along with practical inclusions like free Wi-Fi and parking. The motel is also noted as being pet-friendly, allowing pets on request with potential additional charges, which can be a significant benefit for travelers with furry companions. However, the varying nature of guest feedback, particularly concerning staff interactions and room condition, suggests that guest experiences can differ, and potential visitors should manage their expectations accordingly.

To inquire about availability or make a reservation, you can contact Super 8 by Wyndham Kenmore/Buffalo/Niagara Falls Area at (716) 235-1330 or +1 716-235-1330. Check in was comically awkward. Guy at the front desk was defensive and rude. I stayed here with 3 of my buddies (35-40 year old dads) for a fantasy football party in buffalo and this guy was worse than the team I drafted. And i drafted Zamir White on the Raiders. During check out this guy tried to make us stand at the counter like dickheads while he walked all the way back to the rooms and checked them for what I am assuming is damages. Thats the only thing i can think of because nobody would ever steal anything from this place. Insane energy. Sleep in your car. Or under a bridge. It will be a big improvement.

If I could give this review 0 Stars, I would. I travel frequently, and always stay at Wyndham hotels, as this is my brand of choice. I've stayed at many Super 8 Hotels, and have never had an issue.. until now. I live in Canada, and we travelled to NY state for the Jelly Roll concert in Buffalo (Oct 6th). Upon arrival, the hotel had an overwhelming smell, of cleaner - which, I can see now may be their way of covering up the unpleasant smells that previous reviews have mentioned. When entering the room, our initial mentions were, the room was very small, and the beds were set up in a weird way. The carpet appeared dirty, so I left my shoes on at all times (except when I got into the bed). Which brings me to the real reason I am leaving this review. BED BUGS - Yep, you read that right! - B E D B U G S I was having a rough time falling asleep, as I had an overwhelming feeling of being uneasy, staying in this place. I was watching my iPad, and I dozed off for maybe 2 minutes. When I awoke, I noticed there was a bug crawling on my pillow. When I jumped out of the bed (yes, literally), I said out loud "that is not actually a bed bug, is it?" Yep, it was! and, not just 1 either, there were PLENTY! Our room had two beds, and both beds had Bed Bugs. This was at 1:30AM. I took some photos, and videos, and my sister and I immediately left. I advised the night staff that there were bedbugs in the room, I was checking out, and asked for a refund. He took photos, of the photos that I took - and told me he couldn't issue me a refund, and I'd have to contact the Manager in the morning at 9AM. When I contacted the manager shortly after 9AM, I was told they look like ANTS, and I was called a Liar, that they cannot be bed bugs. I put in a complaint with Wyndham Hotels Customer Care, and I have sent them photo and video proof of my room having bed bugs. I confirmed with the Customer Care rep, that my evidence has been added to my file (they immediately upload when you respond to the complaint case email), to which he confirmed they did - and he could clearly tell they are bed bugs. I am still trying to get a refund from the property, as they are giving a hard time about it (which seems to be their schtick). As far as I am concerned, you cannot expect people to pay for stays at your establishment when they are leaving in the middle of the night, because your beds are full of bed bugs. I have sustained many bites, from these bed bugs, that I am having to have medically taken care of. This is just ridiculous, and gross in my opinion. I contacted the health department, and they are sending a health inspector out to investigate this place. I will continue to call, until I get my refund. I will contact a lawyer, if need be, and my money for the room won't end up being the only compensation they have to pay me. The people that run this place, have absolutely no morals. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

We will never come again here the service the rooms they all suck. They dont have refrigerator or microwave in some rooms or both don't have both in either rooms. Double bed frame in their rooms are awful, we kept hitting our foot on the edges while trying to walk around. Over all their rooms and everything else was in very bad shape. The mattresses not good, u can feel the spring in the mattress poking my back while asleep. Don't waste your money here take it else where you will be happy.

Very misleading images and information on their website and on Expedia. Stay elsewhere if you can. It is not a Wyndham anymore. This is one of the dirtiest and creepiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. We also were bitten by bugs at night as others have said. Everything in the room was dirty, door lock wasn’t secure, toilet paper was stuffed in the peep hole on the door…if we hadn’t been so exhausted we probably would’ve gone somewhere else. Horrible neighborhood. Trash all around the hotel. It is not well cared for. I actually had no trouble with the staff. I did not interact with them much but as far as I know, they only charged us what they were supposed to and are supposedly reversing our deposit. They made us pay a $50 deposit to stay one night.
