I liked it there, it wasn't the best place and after a while you begin to notice a lot of patched up repairs, some taped here and there holding the walls up and the second hand furniture (seriously if you're just saying a night or two with little time in the hotel you won't even notice any of it. I was there for 7 days & stayed in 3 different rooms). They have free coffee & Quaker Oats in the a.m. and I found the cleaning staff offered smiles and "good mornings" more than the front desk staff did. However the 2 young men who worked the front desk during my time there did manage to help me with a few reservation issues and were very understanding, at least they were after I'd start to lose my temper because I knew they could help me more than they wanted to.

Services and Amenities:
Extended Stay America - Buffalo - Amherst is built around the concept of providing a "home away from home" experience. A key amenity offered is a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast, typically consisting of coffee, hot cereal like Quaker Oats, and various breakfast bars or pastries. This provides a convenient start to the day without the need to find outside dining immediately. Connectivity is a priority, with free Wi-Fi access available throughout the hotel, allowing guests to work, stream, or stay in touch with family and friends. For guests staying for longer periods, on-site guest laundry facilities are available 24/7, which is a significant convenience often absent in standard hotels. While the hotel generally does not feature an indoor pool or fitness center, its focus is on providing practical amenities for daily living. The front desk staff is available to assist with various needs, and while some guests have noted occasional inconsistencies in staff demeanor, many have found them to be helpful and understanding, particularly in resolving reservation issues. The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry companions, although fees and weight restrictions typically apply (two pets up to 50 lbs each, with a fee of $25 per pet, per night for the first six nights, and $10 per pet, per night thereafter). This policy is a major advantage for those relocating or traveling with pets for extended periods.
Features of the Rooms:
The core feature of Extended Stay America properties is their spacious, apartment-style suites, and the Buffalo - Amherst location is no exception. Each room is designed to provide guests with the comfort and functionality of a small apartment. A highlight of every suite is the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a full-sized refrigerator/ freezer, microwave, stovetop, and often a toaster. Essential cooking utensils, dishes, and cutlery are also provided, enabling guests to prepare their own meals and save on dining expenses. This is a crucial aspect for extended stays, offering greater flexibility and control over one's diet. The rooms are designed with separate areas for sleeping, dining, and working, providing ample space. Guests can expect comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs with cable and premium channels, and a convenient workspace. Ironing facilities and hair dryers are also standard in the rooms. While some guest reviews have mentioned that the furniture might appear "second-hand" or that there are "patched up repairs," particularly for longer stays when guests have more time to notice such details, the overall sentiment indicates that the rooms are generally clean and functional for their intended purpose. The hotel offers various room types, including studios with queen or full beds, to accommodate different guest needs. Non-smoking rooms are available.
Promotional Information and Guest Experience:
Extended Stay America - Buffalo - Amherst positions itself as a cost-effective and convenient solution for long-term accommodation needs. It appeals to a diverse range of guests, including business travelers on assignment, individuals or families relocating to the area, those undergoing home renovations, or simply tourists who desire more self-sufficiency during their extended visit. The included amenities like fully equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and on-site laundry are consistently promoted as key benefits that reduce overall travel costs and enhance comfort. While the hotel aims to provide a reliable and consistent experience, customer reviews offer a mixed perspective. Some guests have praised the cleanliness and quietness of the property and the helpfulness of specific staff members. Others have noted that while the fundamental services are present, the aesthetic condition of the rooms might show signs of wear and tear, especially during longer stays. This suggests that while the functionality is robust, the decor and upkeep might not always be top-tier, aligning with its budget-friendly extended stay model rather than a luxury hotel. Guests are advised that communication with the front desk is crucial for addressing any issues that may arise during their stay. The overall value proposition is strong for those prioritizing practical amenities and a "home-like" environment over luxury aesthetics for longer durations.

Mar 27, 2025 · Matt TerranovaWoman who checked me in was nice. One of the cleanest and quietiest ESAs I've been to and great location. A little rough as I was checking out. But my stay was amazing! 30mins from Niagara Falls
May 16, 2025 · CARI LOBAWhen I was in chaos I went here with my family for rest and recovery. Clean, quiet and warm. However, I was placed on the third floor having children and noise complaints started. I was told they could transfer me to a first floor location and if my autistic kid makes any more noise I would have to leave immediately. Heartbreaking but understandable. I was blessed I was able to get into another safe place for me and my kids.
Jan 16, 2025 · Ms C.AI come here for week long stays due to work every time I come the room is in order and working the way i need it to including the kitchen the staff is super friendly and more than willing to help out even when busy this is easily my goto hotel in the area
Apr 24, 2025 · Demetrius Beach!!! We didn’t even stay an hour !!! The hotel itself is extremely unwelcoming & uncomfortable from the minute you pull into the parking lot. The front lobby/hallways are dark, dirty and is elevator is hard to find. The female receptionist tried to be nice, especially when it came to our pets, but the guy was rude. It got worse from the minute we stepped into the room. From the horrid smell of the hallway that followed into the room, and the filthy conditions. I couldn’t believe all the stains, the extremely dated “kitchen” with nothing in it. The photos speak for themselves. We left immediately. I hate saying this, but do yourself a favor. Spend a little extra $ and go somewhere else.
