The General Store Cabin Introduce

Step back in time while enjoying modern comforts at The General Store Cabin, a charming retreat nestled in the scenic mountains of Sevierville, Tennessee. This beautiful cabin is part of the unique Moonshine Falls Community, an 1800s historical community that has been thoughtfully renovated to blend rich history with all the amenities you desire for a perfect vacation. If you're seeking an intimate escape away from crowded hotels, offering a true Smoky Mountain experience with a touch of nostalgia, The General Store Cabin is an excellent choice for families and friends.

Imagine unwinding on a spacious deck with peaceful views of the surrounding trees, or gathering around a cozy gas fireplace after a day of exploring. While some guests have noted the challenging mountain roads to reach the cabin and some specific maintenance concerns, the overall experience often highlights its "beautiful cabin" feel and its suitability for creating cherished memories. It offers a unique blend of privacy and accessibility to the region's most beloved attractions, making it an inviting base for your Tennessee adventure.

Location and Accessibility

The General Store Cabin is located at 2326 Bonnie Ln, Sevierville, TN 37876, USA. This address places it within the picturesque Moonshine Falls Community, a 36-acre private resort that preserves the historical charm of the 1800s while offering modern conveniences. The cabin itself sits along Caney Creek, just downstream from an "amazing waterfall over 100 ft long," adding to its scenic appeal.

The cabin's location is a significant advantage for those looking to explore the Smoky Mountains region. It's described as being "just 5 miles off the strip in Pigeon Forge," meaning you are conveniently located only about 10 minutes outside of Pigeon Forge and approximately 25 minutes from Gatlinburg. This proximity allows for easy access to world-famous attractions like Dollywood, The Island in Pigeon Forge, dinner shows, shopping, and the various entry points to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. While the cabin offers a sense of privacy and seclusion, its strategic placement ensures you're never too far from the action.

It's important to note that, as with many mountain cabins in Tennessee, "the journey is all on paved roads," but they can be "winding mountain roads." Some guests have mentioned that the location, being in the mountains, can be "scary to get to" and that an "AWD vehicle may be needed in inclement winter weather." However, a "regular car can easily access the cabin when no snow or ice is present." For those who are comfortable with mountain drives, the scenic route is part of the authentic experience. This blend of secluded charm and convenient access makes The General Store Cabin a desirable location for a mountain getaway.
