Charming Loft Stay in a Hidden Gem of a Town We stayed at The Inn at Stone Mill in Little Falls, NY in May 2025, and it was one of those rare finds that leaves a lasting impression. We booked the two-bedroom loft, and it was simply fabulous — two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a warm, inviting kitchen and living room that made it feel like a home away from home. The inn itself is nestled in a beautifully restored old mill building, which now houses hotel rooms, offices, and a handful of local services. The exposed brick, historic architecture, and views of the canal gave everything a wonderfully quaint and authentic charm. Little Falls is a small town with a lot of character. It’s quiet, walkable, and full of unexpected gems — antique stores, artisan shops, and picturesque streets that make for a peaceful stroll. While it does wind down early in the evening, which limited our dining options when we arrived late, we made the most of it by shopping at the nearby Price Chopper and enjoying a cozy, home-cooked meal in our suite. There’s a slower pace to the town that invites you to relax and take in the surroundings — whether it’s sitting by the river, exploring the historic downtown, or chatting with friendly locals. It felt like stepping into a simpler time, in the best way. We didn’t get the chance to take advantage of all the services offered at the Inn, but from what we saw, there’s plenty to explore and enjoy. We’ll definitely return one day — not just for the hotel, but for the full Little Falls experience.
May 09, 2025 · Nadine HarveyHad a great stay here, if my travels take me to Little Falls I'd stay here again. Staff was really friendly. Building was pretty old, but the furnishings were in good condition. Were accomodating to cyclist travelers.
May 16, 2025 · Brook CaroWe didn't know to reserve a room ahead of time but they still let us check in late. And they were so friendly!!! The room was very cute, with a windowsill looking out at Little falls. There were even bath robes in the room, which I thought was a fun and fancy touch. Lovely area to walk around and check out the shops.
Dec 18, 2024 · Charlotte BoncellaRoom is clean and cozy, very local feel, front desk is very friendly. Do keep in mind they’re not 24/7 at site service but you do have a contact # if any needs. Check in is at 3rd floor of the building, so you’ll have to take elevator, Do be aware if you book over the direct website might find taxes charged twice on online invoice but actual billing doesn’t.
Nov 15, 2024 · Key LWe had a lovely stay! What a great town and very accommodating coming in on bikes while riding the Erie Canal. We found everything that we needed, including a tasty continental breakfast! And soak tub! We will definitely be back!
